"Isan Green" is a music, art, and camping festival

by a group of people who call themselves "Highland Hippies!"

We have an annual gathering at Khon Jaen, our home.

The music festival starts at noon on Saturday and lasts until Sunday morning. It sounds like the most relaxing weekend of the year.

Walk around, enjoy the art, listen to the music, and have fun with the freedom around you.

We drove out of Khon Kaen city in the afternoon for a short road trip.

We drove for less than an hour and arrived at the Ubol Ratana Dam. We drove along the dam according to the map in our hands.

Excited! This year there must be a lot of people.

We arrived in the late afternoon to a wonderful atmosphere. After finding a parking spot and checking in,

we were free to explore. Let's begin!

The event space is a wide-open field welcoming all the hippies and hipsters.

The riverside area runs along the Ubolratana Dam, with green mountains in the back and a waterfront view in the front.

The first thing we did was take a leisurely stroll around the event.

The main stage seemed like the best place to gather.

When the music started, who could resist dancing? Everyone got up and started moving!

After a tiring start, we continued to stroll around the event.

The event featured a circular arrangement of activity booths, showcasing art and crafts, with an open space in the center.

There was a ceramic sculpting workshop, as well as a tie-dyeing activity.

Strolling around, enjoying the sights and sounds, it's super chill.

There are trendy shops to browse along the way, with flowing clothes and vibrant props.

These have become rare items at the event, so everyone is having fun choosing.

After a short walk, we arrived at the food zone.

There were so many food options to choose from. It was time to refuel!

With snacks in hand, we also need some refreshing drinks to quench our thirst.

We chose to sit in the middle of the open space, on the ground opposite the PEACE symbol.

And we started a conversation.

The atmosphere is so good for the heart.

The sky at six in the evening is more beautiful than ever.

I can't remember the last time we sat and watched the sunset.

As the sky darkened in the evening and the air began to cool, the atmosphere took on a different feel.

The crowd grew larger, and we walked back to the main stage to listen to more music.

This time, we settled in for the long haul as bands took turns on stage, following the schedule.

There may have been some delays, but it was understandable that no one wanted to rush.

The music was good, the weather was good, and we felt good.

Unfortunately, we missed camping this year.

We chose to drive back on Saturday night, the music still playing like that.

On the way back, we thought about this day next year, promising to come back to camp.
