Weekends are free.

Where should we go? Not too far, and not too expensive.

A Google search led me to Hua Hin, another popular tourist destination near Bangkok that is easily accessible for a day trip.

Regarding travel

The earliest free train in the morning is too early to catch, and the later train will arrive too late for sightseeing. ㅠㅠ

We decided to change our plan to take a van and rent a motorbike instead. This way, we can drive comfortably and stop wherever we want.

Let's get started!

We took a van from the Southern Bus Terminal (Pinklao) using the June & James service from Bangkok to Hua Hin for 180 baht.

Rent a motorbike from the page "P'A Motorbike Rental Hua Hin" for 200 baht (call to book in advance).

01 | SEEN SPACE

Address: Soi Hua Hin 35 or Soi Hua Hin Soi 19, Hua Hin Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

The alley is located near the opposite side of Plearnwan.

A beachfront community mall with designated shopping and dining areas.

It is recommended to come in the evening for an Artbox-like vibe. We came here the first time in the afternoon, and there were no shops set up yet.

Sitting in a cafe here waiting for the time to pass. The sun is very hot, but the sea view is also very beautiful.

02 | Suan Son Pradipat

After leaving Seen Space, we took a long motorbike ride and stopped at Suan Son Pradipat, a popular tourist destination in Hua Hin. It was incredibly lush and shady.

03 | 1 Day Artist

Address: Soi Hua Hin 101 (Khao Tao Village), opposite Chelona Condo, Las Tortugas

Not far from Suan Son Pradipat Park, we stumbled upon this hidden gem: a fusion restaurant and cafe tucked away in a quiet alley near the railway tracks. (Follow the Google Maps pin for directions!) This charming spot embodies the true spirit of slow living. The decor is delightful, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch here. The food was truly top-notch!

The dish we ordered was shrimp omelet rice, but it came with an extra shrimp egg. We enjoyed it very much. The soup was delicious.

04 | Khao Takiab Beach

Location: Approximately 6 km south of Hua Hin town. Take Highway 4 (Phetkasem Road) towards Pran Buri District. Before the railway bridge, stay left and turn left at the intersection for about 2.5 km.

Remarkably peaceful. I can't believe a place like this exists in Hua Hin. This is my first time here.

Another newly built landmark is the Hua Hin-Pattaya ferry pier. It's a great spot for taking photos.

* Before entering Khao Takiab Beach, there is another beautiful restaurant called Air Space. It's stunning, but we didn't stop by, so we didn't take any pictures. If you have the chance, check it out!

Evening

The evening atmosphere is completely different from the morning. If you're a drinker who wants to sip a cold beer and relax by the sea, this place is perfect for you!

Watching the sunset, the sky gradually changes from blue to purple-pink. So romantic! :)

The open beachfront in the morning transforms into a seating area with food booths offering a variety of options for our dining pleasure.

Since we don't drink, let's have a mixed berry instead, okay?
