Every visitor to Chiang Khan would not miss the evening walking street, a street lined with affordable food stalls offering a variety of dishes at prices ranging from 10 to 20 baht or more. Here is a brief overview of some of the must-try food items for those who are planning to visit.

Khao Jee, sticky rice dipped in egg and grilled over charcoal. The fragrant aroma of the rice is so tempting that it's hard to resist buying a skewer to eat. Especially during the cool winter weather in Chiang Khan, it's a perfect match.

Grilled shrimp... small shrimp skewered and grilled, eaten whole. They have a slightly salty flavor. I can tell you, one skewer is never enough.

Grilled crab... I saw this on my latest trip to Chiang Khan. I didn't buy it to eat, but I did ponder for a while whether it would be difficult to eat while walking. I would have to peel and suck it, you see.

Mieng Kham... If you love Mieng Kham but are too lazy to wrap it yourself, you'll definitely enjoy this place. However, be prepared for a surprise with the amount of chili inside. Each shop has a different level of spiciness, and I've had experiences ranging from mild to tear-inducing. But hey, that's part of the fun, right?

Deep-fried dough sticks with various fillings to choose from, catering to your preferences.

Crispy rice crackers, grilled to a fragrant aroma, perfect for a leisurely stroll. This vendor's display is impressive!

Roti... Why did I have to come all the way to Chiang Khan to eat this? Let me tell you, in Bangkok, all I see are Indian vendors selling it, and I don't dare buy from them. But here in Chiang Khan, I found this vendor who is a woman, so I immediately rushed over to her.

Red iced tea with mochi balls... blended and served with a straw for drinking on the go. This trendy drink has become a popular photo prop in Chiang Khan. During my recent visit, I only saw one vendor selling it, but it was doing a roaring trade. I expect more vendors will start offering it soon.

There are many food stalls here, even though many of them sell the same things. I've been here many times and still haven't tried everything. I'm always too busy eating and walking around to take pictures. I'll try to take some more next time I come.
