This review is a travelogue of a four-day, three-night trip to Ranong, focusing on hotels and the walking street. Links to reviews of visited attractions are provided separately.

Trip details for 4 days and 3 nights
On the first morning, a van picked us up at the airport and dropped our bags at the hotel before taking us snorkeling at the Mook Island Group. We returned to walk the Ranong Walking Street.
On the second day, we left our bags at the lobby and prepared to stay overnight at Koh Kood, Burma. The hotel's car took us to the pier.
On the third day, we visited Koh Ta Puk, Koh Mook Island, and went snorkeling at Koh Yai Nua. We had dinner at the Grand Andaman Hotel.
On the fourth day, we explored Ranong, including Khao Nga, the tin Buddha statue, the hot spring foot bath, and the community shops for souvenirs.

Travelers can reach Ranong by taking air-conditioned or ordinary buses operated by the Transport Co., Ltd. from the Southern Bus Terminal. Alternatively, passengers can fly with Nok Air from Don Mueang Airport to Ranong Airport.

For those arriving by plane, it is necessary to arrange transportation to the hotel. You can contact the hotel for a pick-up service, or contact the company "Pholplace Travel & Tour" to arrange transportation to the hotel or the pier for the island. For this trip, we used the hotel's car service. On our previous trip to Koh Phayam, we used the services of Pholplace.

Our accommodation for this trip is the Farmhouse Hotel, a city hotel with parking available for guests arriving by car.

Luggage storage is available at the hotel lobby. On the first day, we left our luggage and changed clothes before heading to the Dragon Islands.

The lower room has two computers available for use. The back of the room has separate male and female restrooms. We changed clothes here.

After diving at the Dragon Islands, we checked in, picked up our keys, and took the elevator to our room.

We have booked a double room.

The room is equipped with air conditioning, a television, a refrigerator, and a safe.

Complimentary coffee, tea, Milo, and drinking water are available.

The refrigerator contains two bottles of drinking water. No other beverages are available.

The bathroom has a shower and a water heater.

The bathroom is equipped with a fan.

Bidet with spray

We provide soap, shampoo, comb, razor, shower cap, and cotton swabs for your convenience.

After showering, we walked out to the front of the hotel, where the restaurant is located.

The restaurant has tables in front for dining while enjoying the atmosphere of the walking street.

Inside the restaurant

As part of our trip booking, dinner is included. For two people, you can choose three dishes. Omelette and chili paste are available separately.
How about sour curry with acacia pennata and shrimp?

Visiting the South? Why not try some stir-fried prawns with star gooseberry?

Stir-fried wild boar with acacia pods, similar to the dish found in Chanthaburi.

Plus, the omelet was delicious.

Fresh chili paste with fresh pods

Only plain water is served as a complimentary beverage. Other drinks are available for purchase. I recommend trying the grape juice.

Finish with pineapple and watermelon.

For those who did not book a package, you can order food at the menu price.

After dinner, we continued our walk to the walking street in front of the hotel.

It's Children's Day today, but there aren't many people around. It's comfortable to walk around. There are some Children's Day activities being held.

There are signs for the Ranong Walking Street photo opportunities at regular intervals.

May I take a picture with you?

The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and uncrowded, unlike the bustling atmosphere of Chiang Mai.

Cha Phayom Tea Shop @ Ranong

Due to the large number of people participating in Children's Day activities at Sook Park, I was unable to take any photos.

Thong Ngern Thong Thong Shop sells dolls.

The Apple Shop sells women's suits. Next door is the J&T Restaurant, a steakhouse.

Children's clothing store, Kid's Style

Barbecue Steak

This restaurant uses straw as seats, which is quite unique. I wonder if it would be itchy to sit on with shorts.

This shop is very crowded. Soy milk, deep-fried dough sticks, tea, and coffee are available.

This hotel is truly authentic.

Ranong Walking Street 60 is open every Saturday from December 17, 2016 to April 29, 2017.

The next morning, we woke up early to have breakfast. We were eager to see if the breakfast was as delicious as the reviews had claimed.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. Although the staff had not yet set out all the items when we arrived early in the morning, there was still more than enough food to choose from.

For those who love rice noodles, we offer rice noodles with fish maw curry, fish curry, chili paste, green curry chicken, and rice noodles with fermented fish.

Ranong's local cuisine, "Salad and Yaw-Yai," is a must-try.

The roselle juice was a bit too light on the sweetness. There was also instant coffee and chocolate available.

Tired of Western food today, so I had the first set with bael fruit juice and hot chocolate.

A complete set of Khanom Jeen with Nam Prik, Gaeng Kiew Wan, and boiled eggs.

Watermelon and pineapple for dessert.

After breakfast, we left our luggage at the lobby. We will be staying at Horseshoe Island tonight.

Review of a trip to Ranong: https://th.readme.me/p/8085

After finishing our trip within Ranong city, we walked out to find a shop to relax in near the hotel.

The restaurant has large, comfortable chairs.

This restaurant offers a variety of dishes to choose from. The food is average in taste and the prices are reasonable.

After lunch, we returned to the hotel to rest. There were computers and books available for use while waiting for the car to take us to the airport.

The trip and accommodation were booked through Farmhouse Travel for a total cost of 13,500 baht.

This price does not include travel expenses between Bangkok and Ranong, nor does it include lunch and dinner on the last day.

See you again in March… next trip we'll go to Hokkaido in the winter!
