In the previous episode, Noomlek took us on a tour of the museum and highlighted some of the charms that make Venice a destination that travelers dream of visiting at least once.
Tell me where is fancy bred,
Or in the heart, or in the head?
How begot, how nourished?
Love...Love
Where does it begin?
Does it start in the heart?
Or does it begin in the mind?
My first encounter with Venice was through King Rama VI's "Venice Vanija," a Thai translation of William Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice." As a young reader, I was captivated by the lyrical verses, which sparked my initial curiosity about this enchanting city of canals. Subsequently, I delved into numerous literary works that vividly portrayed Venice's romantic ambiance, where lovers glided through picturesque waterways on gondolas, serenaded by the melodious voices of gondoliers.
Although it was not a dream to the point of having to save money or be determined to find a soulmate to create such a sweet moment as everyone said, it was another place that stuck in my mind and made me want to visit it once. At least to see for myself the beauty that I had heard about since I was young. Today, when I set foot in this place, I can't say whether every image that appears before me is as the writers, poets, or anyone else has described. But for me, what I see here is a color that is hard to find in any other city, hard to find anywhere else. It is a vibrant and charming city in its own way. Just look at the blue water, the brick houses, and the small boats that come and go. It's fun.
Buongiorno Venezia...
This morning, we had an appointment with the Mariani family to visit the islands of Murano and Burano. However, the appointment was scheduled for later in the morning, so I decided to take advantage of the early hours to explore Venice in its peaceful solitude. After our exploration, we will return to meet them at the appointed time. My brother, Or, will be my bodyguard for this outing, and we will likely follow the same route we took before. The reason for this is that these places are always crowded, and I would like to see them without the throngs of people to truly appreciate their romantic atmosphere.
The early morning tranquility of Venice was a stark contrast to its usual bustling atmosphere. The deserted streets, save for a few fellow early-morning enthusiasts and diligent workers like cleaners and street sweepers, offered a unique perspective of the city. The absence of crowds allowed for a peaceful exploration of the city's landmarks, capturing the essence of Venice in its serene state.

Wandering through Venice in the absence of crowds allows us to capture the city's landmarks as we please. The sun is still gentle, allowing us to fully appreciate the towering beauty of the buildings. The chaos and confusion we witnessed over the past two days pale in comparison to the serenity we experience this morning, a tranquility that will undoubtedly vanish within hours.
This morning will undoubtedly be etched in my memory forever. The romantic atmosphere of Venice, which I had only heard about before, was confirmed before my very eyes. The sights I witnessed this morning brought tears to my eyes, and I couldn't help but think how magical it would be to share this warm and inviting atmosphere with a loved one, strolling side by side or gazing at the bright blue canvas of the sky by the water. It would truly be an extraordinary morning.
A sweet moment in Venice!
It seems that this trip is full of moments like this that hurt my heart. I don't understand it at all. Sigh...
No time to be sad, let's keep exploring! Checking the time, it's time to walk back to our accommodation as our appointment with our guests is approaching. Today, we have a trip planned to the nearby islands. I guarantee everyone will have their eyes wide open today. With that said, we quickly headed back to our accommodation with our sister, Or. Get ready to travel with us! No sadness, just keep exploring! Keep exploring, keep exploring!
