3 Day 2 Night | Let's go Sichang at Chonburee

START Day 1 : 30 Dec 2016 | Time : 09.00 AM (UTC+7)

  • A group of four people met at the Mo Chit van station and pooled 2,000 baht each for a total of 8,000 baht.
  • The initial expense was 480 baht for van fare, which was 120 baht per person.
  • After meeting at 9:00 AM and purchasing tickets, they boarded the van and waited for it to fill up before departing. The journey took approximately 2 hours.
  • The van took them to Sri Racha district and dropped them off opposite Robinson Sri Racha department store.

**Currently, travelers heading to Koh Sichang Island should embark from Tha Charoen Pier, located near the temporarily closed Koh Loy Pier. Upon arrival, inquire with the local tuk-tuk drivers for transportation to Tha Charoen Pier. A group of four passengers can expect a flat fare of 100 Baht.**

  • Next, purchase ferry tickets to Koh Sichang for 50 baht per person (50 x 4 = 200 baht).

The atmosphere on the boat

  • During our trip, the number of passengers was moderate to high (but not overcrowded). The boat accepted the number of passengers as specified by the boat's capacity. The staff did not allow any passengers to exceed the limit.

  • After about an hour's journey from the mainland, we arrived safely at Koh Sichang. The boat ride was a bit bumpy, but it was bearable.
  • If you are prone to motion sickness, it is a good idea to bring some motion sickness medication or a bag with you on the boat. The waves were a bit rough during our trip, and a child vomited in front of me. It was a bit shocking, but I forgave them.

  • Be careful of the waves hitting the walkway when you walk there.... Let me tell you, the waves hit very high. You'll definitely get soaked up to your ankles with seawater (imagine the scene). 555555555555

  • After disembarking from the boat, we waited for the aunt who we had called to book our accommodation to pick us up. After about 10 minutes, the aunt drove a motorcycle taxi to pick us up.
  • My friend and I booked accommodation at Benz Bungalow, where we booked for 3 days and 2 nights. We got 2 rooms and 2 motorcycles (we stayed 1 room per 4 people per night with extra beds provided, and we got 2 motorcycles to drive for 2 days and 2 nights included in the price of 3700 baht. So it would be 3700 divided by 4 = 925 baht per person for 2 nights). Confused? Don't be confused, haha.

On the first day, we got accommodation by the sea. When we opened the door, we saw the sea right in front of us.

Let's take a look at the atmosphere of the accommodation. When we opened the door, we screamed. It was so good, perfect for relaxation.

Accommodation for hundreds of baht, a million-dollar view, it's so good. I want to wake up like this every morning. The wind is so strong (a million Ks).

  • This is the bedroom. Apologies, we were so excited by the beautiful ocean view, the cool breeze, and tired from the boat ride that we jumped straight into bed as soon as we arrived. We forgot to take photos when we first entered. 55555555

  • There is a boat next to the room. During the day, the water level gradually decreases, and at night, the water level drops significantly. However, the water level rises considerably in the morning.

After packing, it's time to ride a motorbike for sightseeing.

The first stop is the Khao Yai Shrine, followed by the Guan Yin Shrine on Ko Sichang Island.

When traveling, we should pay respects to the sacred things to bring good luck and blessings for the new year.

Welcome to the Year of the Rooster 2560.

After paying respects at the temple, we continued driving to another location. On Koh Sichang, there is also a 7-Eleven that is open 24 hours a day.

The second location of the day is the Isariyaphon Channel (Khao Khad), Ko Sichang.

It is a natural rock formation that splits the mountain, located on the back side of the island. In the past, it was the site of a royal pavilion where King Rama V would enjoy the scenery.

From here, you can see the entire island, the cliffs, and the sea.

It is highly recommended to visit during sunset for a breathtaking view.

The image above shows the Wachiravuth Bridge. You can walk here to conveniently watch the sunset.

  • Be careful not to slip and fall face-first when taking photos here, as the rocks are covered in moss.

This area is called Laem Vachiravuth. Some people compare it to Laem Phromthep in Phuket, saying that it is equally beautiful (we also think it is quite similar). This cape is a popular spot for fishing and offers stunning sunset views on Koh Sichang.

  • The day flew by quickly. After driving and enjoying the scenery, it was time to buy seafood for a barbecue dinner.
  • We bought shrimp and squid for 300-400 baht per kilogram (depending on the size of the shrimp).
  • You can also order a set of pork for 300 baht, which comes with everything you need, including a stove, pan, and chopsticks.
  • Our accommodation provided everything we needed, including a grill, ice bucket and ice, and cups. If you want to bring your own food to grill, just let the owner know. It's very convenient.

  • Time flies when you're having fun with friends. The night air here is very cold, so much so that I'm shivering. If you're visiting during the winter, be sure to bring a long-sleeved shirt to avoid catching a cold. Also, be careful what you eat and drink to avoid any potential dangers.

Day 2: December 31, 2016 | Last Night Party Countdown

Good Morning

Waking up this morning was a struggle. Last night was quite intense. 5555

In addition to the waves crashing against the shore, I dreamt that it was raining heavily and the water was hitting the ground loudly. I slept soundly and comfortably.

Next, we will visit two locations: Phra Chulachomklao Fort and Atsadang Bridge.

Phra Chulachomklao Fort was the summer palace of King Rama V and houses several important landmarks.

"Wherever there is great love from a man, there is an aura of love. On this island, which is full of love stories, it is said that those who want to add sweetness to their lives in the morning should come together to welcome the first light of dawn at the end of the bridge of love, Atsadang Bridge."

  • This is the base of the Manthaturat Racha Rot Throne Hall, which was dismantled to transport the teak wood to build the Wimanmek Palace in Bangkok. As I walked, I wondered what this area was. I thought it was just a walkway.

  • The surrounding area is perfect for taking photos and relaxing while enjoying the natural beauty. Just sitting there, I could feel the fresh air and a sense of deep relaxation. Looking out at the vast ocean and the lush greenery, my eyes felt incredibly refreshed.

  • Walk straight ahead a little further and there will be stairs to go down to take pictures on the rocks. Be careful not to slip.

Location 4: Tham Phang Beach, Koh Sichang

Tham Phang Beach, with its stunning rocky promontory, offers breathtaking scenery and is a popular destination for camping and fishing enthusiasts. The jagged rocks and rolling hills create a picturesque landscape, making it an ideal spot for sunset viewing and admiring the vast expanse of the sea.

The Last 5 Places of the Day

Paree Hut Koh Sichang Resort

This is another popular accommodation spot on Koh Sichang Island. It is located by the beautiful wide sea on the island. We can only take pictures at the points that the resort allows us to enter. And if any tourists want to go in, please cooperate not to make the place dirty or make loud noises that disturb the tourists staying inside the resort.

After driving around the island and visiting almost all the attractions, the sun began to set.

The sun dipped below the horizon just before the end of 2016. For tonight, we will count down to 2017 together by the sea.
