A short weekend trip on February 11-12, 2017 to Rayong. Leaving home after midnight on Friday (February 10) and arriving in the morning on Saturday (February 11). Taking the usual route through Bang Pa-in, entering Highway 9 (East), then Highway 7 (Bangkok-Chonburi), turning left onto Highway 344 (Ban Bing-Klaeng). The road is good except for the section around Ban Bing, which is bad all the way to Klaeng. Reaching the Klaeng intersection and arriving at Prasae at 6:00 AM. The total distance is 500 kilometers, taking 6 hours.
An impressive nature study trail spanning over 6,000 rai, this site serves as a nature conservation tourism destination near the mouth of the Pra Sae River. It offers an educational experience, fostering understanding of the mangrove ecosystem. Visitors can witness the natural beauty of mangrove forests, including Sonneratia caseolaris, Avicennia marina, and coastal trees. The 2.5-kilometer trail leads to the HTMS Prasae Warship Memorial at the mouth of the Pra Sae River.
From the parking lot, if you don't want to walk, you can take a motorcycle sidecar (5 baht per person/parking fee 20 baht).

After walking and walking, stopping and taking photos, covering approximately 2.5 kilometers, we reached the destination at the HTMS Prasae Warship Memorial at the mouth of the Prasae River. We then took a motorcycle sidecar, costing 30 baht per person, to the parking lot.

The journey begins at Mae Ramphueng Beach, passing through Rayong on Highway 36 (Rayong-Bang Lamung), entering through routes 7 and 9 as usual, until reaching home. The total distance covered is 1200 kilometers, encompassing the golden mangrove fields and Mae Phim Beach, the charm of Rayong's coastline.
