As winter approaches, adventure-seeking young men and women, like ourselves, choose to visit the coldest region in Siam: Phu Ruea National Park.

We departed from our accommodation on December 4th, 2016, at 4:30 AM. After a half-hour drive, we arrived at the park's parking lot. We then walked 500 meters to board a shared taxi provided by the park. Everyone was required to take the shared taxi from this point.

Tourist shuttle buses can accommodate approximately 10 passengers. The fare is 20 baht per person for a one-way trip and 40 baht for a round trip. The journey to the top of Phu Ruea takes approximately 20 minutes.

We didn't expect it to be this cold, with a temperature of 9 degrees.

The day we went, there were a lot of people. Everyone was waiting to see the sunrise, but that day turned out to be a disappointment for everyone. The fog was so thick that there was no sunlight at all. Everyone waited from 6:00 AM until 7:30 AM, but there was still no sign of the sun.

While waiting, everyone found their own corner, just like me.
