During the rainy season, many people choose to travel to forests and mountains to enjoy the lush greenery and camp amidst nature.
It is unclear whether it would be unusual to choose to relax and listen to the sound of waves and wind and rain at the beach.
Among the many attractive options, Koh Chang stands out. Located within driving distance from Bangkok, it offers a convenient escape. Despite the persistent drizzle throughout the journey, we managed to create a pleasant atmosphere with music that perfectly complemented the rainy ambiance.
Driving to Ao Thammachat Pier and taking the ferry to Koh Chang takes less than half an hour. The surrounding atmosphere, although overcast,
(Who told you to visit the sea during the rainy season?) But it's a strange sight.
The day is almost over, but we still haven't caught a glimpse of the sun. We are heading to our accommodation for today, THE DEWA KOH CHANG.
Guests are welcomed with a refreshing lemongrass and pandan leaf drink, while the evening's menu is explained.
More exciting than sleeping is eating. Let's quickly put our things in the room and take a nap to recharge before we go out to eat.
Our room was a Deluxe Room, which was perfect and comfortable for two people.
The bathroom is clearly divided into dry and wet zones.
Whether it's a shower zone or a soak in the tub,
The overall ambiance of the hotel harmonizes perfectly with the current rainfall. It evokes a sense of cool and refreshing tranquility, despite the fact that the swimming pool would undoubtedly be more visually striking under the sun's rays. However, the present conditions do not diminish the overall appeal of the establishment.
Our first-day dinner was supposed to be grilled seafood. However, due to the rain, we were unable to enjoy the sunset by the sea while sipping beer and eating seafood. As a result, we had to move our dinner to the hotel's dining room. No worries, we'll try again tomorrow.
Food is just as important as rest, and breakfast is something we can't avoid talking about.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including traditional Thai dishes, rice porridge, noodles, and Western-style breakfast items.
After a satisfying meal, let's take a long nap, listening to the sounds of the wind, rain, and ocean waves before we go swimming.
Fortunately, the weather cooperated today. Although it was a bit hot, there was no rain to disrupt our dinner.
Today is Saturday, and the buffet menu here is charcoal grill. The price is per head, excluding drinks. I saw the beautiful pink sky, so I quickly booked a table, ordered food, and sat down to enjoy the sunset. Wow, it was so romantic.
Regardless of the season, the sea is always a great place to relax and unwind. Next time we have the opportunity to visit Koh Chang again, we will choose another accommodation that catches our eye, AWA KOH CHANG (which is actually part of the same group as the one we stayed at). We stopped by for a quick look while driving around the island, and even though we haven't seen the rooms yet, just seeing the surrounding area makes us want to come back again.
