---- How to get to Chiang Mai? It's so far! ---- How to get to Chiang Mai? It must cost a lot of money! ---
Have you ever wondered about this? Oh, I went there and spent 3700 baht!
We confirm that salary earners can go on this budget. (Even though it's not a cheap trip, it's not a starving trip either."
** Set a budget of 4,000 and get 300 back!**

Let's get started. First, I invite my travel companion. This time, we went as a couple, as usual. We were very brave.

Book your tickets now! AirAsia is cheaper than the bus and faster too.
AirAsia promotion round trip including tax 2,250 baht for 2 people.

Day 1

12:05 PM. We arrived and picked up the motorbike we had booked through Facebook from Bikky shop. The rental price was 250 baht per day.

Honda Click 125cc motorcycle rental for 2 days at 500 baht, with roundtrip delivery for 100 baht.

Membership sign-up offers a 25% discount per day, per vehicle, for a total cost of 550 baht.

The army marches on its stomach. Let's have lunch first. For lunch today, we had papaya salad, a local dish, at a restaurant near Nimmanhaemin Road, opposite Soi 17. It was very cheap, the bill came to only 160 baht. I would like to have this kind of food at my workplace.

With time to spare, we decided to visit the house next to the temple. We talked about wanting to take some photos and have a refreshing drink. Since we don't drink coffee, our menu options leaned towards green tea and iced black tea.

Some temples are located near the 121 road, heading towards Hang Dong district and Wat Ram Poeng. For us, Baan Kang Wat deserves an 8/10 rating. It's a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.

Fearing the approach of dusk, we set our sights on Baan Rabien Dao, embarking on our journey at 3:30 PM. The prospect of nightfall loomed large, as the mountain path ahead was devoid of illumination. Our route traversed Mae Rim District, then Mae Taeng District, before turning left to ascend the mountain in Chiang Dao. A fee of 20 baht was collected, and we continued our drive for approximately 12 kilometers.

Found it! The Balcony House

500 Baht per person, including dinner and breakfast.
3 delicious dishes, suitable for people from different regions.

The view from behind, eating like this... so satisfying.

Essential tip: Arrive at your accommodation before 5 pm, as the mountain road lacks lighting. Additionally, be prepared for a quick meal upon arrival, as dinner will be served promptly.

Our heaven is eating, but the real heaven is Baan Rabeang Dao. I give it a 9.5/10.

We would like to return. Accommodation phone number.

Waking up early, we had breakfast and said goodbye to Baan Rabien Dao.

Our original plan was to visit The Giant and stay overnight in Mae Kampong.

But let's see what caused us to miss out on Mae Kampong and Samran Chon Homestay.

Day 2

We arrived at Mon Cham at 9:30 am. It was the place we had been longing to visit, and we knew we had to come.

Drive down to Mae Taeng district, then head towards Mae Rim. There will be a right turn to go up to Mon Cham.

"Oh, Mon Cham, Mon Cham, Mon Cham, why aren't you as bright as your name suggests?"
"I apologize for saying this, but I was really looking forward to it. But on the day we went, the flowers were being replanted."
"A little disappointed --> quite a lot, haha (( It's okay, we're here, let's take some pictures))"

We long to see the vibrant purple hues of the flowers.

Lunch at a Restaurant

We had lunch at this restaurant, and the prices were a bit high compared to yesterday's lunch.

  • Minced pork omelet
  • Spicy pork soup
  • Fermented pork sausage salad
  • Coke
  • 2 plates of rice

The total cost was 405 baht. Goodbye, Mon Cham. I'll come back again next time, and hopefully, you'll be even more beautiful!

Oh no, it's raining! What about Mae Kampong?

Okay... let's talk about it. The Jai Ant shop closes at 3 pm, so we definitely won't make it. Since I'm not familiar with the route, I'm feeling a bit discouraged and resigned. Maybe we should just wait for the rain to stop, which should be around 2 pm.

"Let's go to Mon Thawan together, shall we? Maybe it'll be alright." (A whisper from someone nearby through the fog, with a hint of coercion.)

Mon Thawan offers stunning views. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Don't miss out on this gem! ++

Visit the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden.

Tonight, we have a room booked... Doi Suthep, a landmark that many people say, "If you come to Chiang Mai and don't pay respects and make a wish at Doi Suthep, it's like you haven't been to Chiang Mai." Take the road out of Nimmanhaemin and turn left onto Suthep Road. Another reason we wanted to come here is to see the night view from a high angle of Chiang Mai.

The evening twilight was pleasant and cool. The illuminated pagoda was beautiful. Be careful on the way down the mountain, as many cyclists are riding. Dinner is still the most important meal. Since our original plan for Mae Kampong didn't work out, we had to read reviews again. Heuan Pen, a local restaurant, is located opposite Chiang Mai Kindergarten. "This is what we found online," we thought. "Let's go!" We're in the north, so we have to eat more than just papaya salad! Overall, we think it's okay. The restaurant is mostly frequented by foreign tourists. We ordered a set menu for two for 350 baht and added sun-dried beef for an additional 155 baht, bringing the total to 505 baht. (No pictures, they're on another camera.)

---- - Day 3 -----

---- - Day 3 -----

In the morning, we rushed to get ready, eager to explore the wonders of the Grand Canyon and Mount Phin.

Follow the original route 121 towards Hang Dong district according to Google Maps.

Arrived at the Grand Canyon, Chiang Mai.

The entrance fee is 50 baht per person. You can exchange your ticket for a herbal drink.

We exchanged roselle and chrysanthemum water.

The Grand Canyon offers stunning photographic opportunities, particularly for wide-angle lenses, GoPro cameras, and panoramic shots. While swimming is permitted, it is not recommended due to the unpredictable nature of the water and the lack of lifeguards.

Let's continue to Phufinn ... Now, Phufinn is a coffee shop on a hill.

The view is stunning, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.

The shop opens at 10:00 AM sharp. Be warned, they are very punctual! We arrived at 9:45 AM and had to wait downstairs for 15 minutes.

The sun is hot down below. We wait for the next round, waiting for the person next to us to tell us the size because we came here with a purpose.

It's 10 am. Let's go ask first. If it's not open, I'll have to leave. Haha, what do you think? Are you passionate about it?

The view here is beautiful. The green tea is good. Overall, we like it. The price is not too high, 3 items for more than 200 baht.

(( Huh ++ Or is it too high compared to the cart next to the office 55)) Just kidding !!

I would rate this 7.5 / 10. I would like to deduct points for the early deadline and playfully tease that if you get rich from selling well, you'll be pouring concrete like a pro.

Due to the tight schedule, we need to board the plane at 2:35 PM. We must return the car before 1:00 PM because the staff informed us that there will be a 50 baht per hour charge for late returns.

Go home and pack your things!!

"Hey, we want to go to i-berry, Note Udorn's restaurant. But... looking at the time, can we make it in 30 minutes?"

"I'm fine," she replied, "but I'd like to wait because I want to go."

Just two blocks away from my accommodation, I finally found it. I'll have to ask Mr. Udom to let you know. Are you worried that I won't be able to find the store? Please put up a large sign.

Found it! The atmosphere of the shop is quite cool and shady. There are big trees and... hey, what's that thing?

It's amazing! I love it! I'm giving it a big kiss!

Head to i-berry chiangmai on Nimmanhaemin Road 17. After about 300 meters, keep right and turn left at the intersection. The shop is on the right-hand side, look for the large trees.

With limited time remaining, we opted to visit the Waroros Market for souvenirs before returning the rental car at the airport.

He called to remind me. I finally arrived at 12:45 p.m. He fined me 50 baht. Haha.

Total travel expenses

Round-trip airfare costs 2,250 baht.

The cost of accommodation for the first night is 1,000 baht.

The cost of accommodation for two nights is 750 baht.

Motorcycle rental fee 550 baht

- Fined 50 baht

The cost of fuel is 200 baht.

Food, drinks, and ice cream cost 2,000 baht.

Souvenir 600 baht

The total cost is 7,400 baht, which is 3,700 baht per person. Seeing this amount, will you be able to come to Chiang Mai?

I apologize if the information is incorrect or inaccurate. Some people may wonder why the trip doesn't seem slow-paced. The answer is that since we were able to take a vacation, we wanted to see everything. As for Mae Kampong, which we missed, I assure you that we will not miss it next time.
