• The Deva Pitak Cave is part of the Khao Erawan Wildlife Sanctuary. The cave entrance is located at the Khao Erawan Monastery in Phatthana Nikhom District, Lop Buri Province.

The entrance to the cave is located high up on a mountain, requiring a climb of approximately 500 meters. The entrance is a small opening, and visitors must descend a ladder 2-3 meters to reach the cave floor. Once inside, a flashlight is essential as the cave is devoid of natural light. Crawling is necessary to navigate the initial 5 meters, which are narrow but not constricting. Beyond this point, the cave gradually ascends, leading to the location of the coffins. The air is cool and breathable, with no musty odor. As you explore, the flashlight reveals both living and fossilized stalactites and stalagmites.

This cave has only one point where light can shine in, which is near the end of the explored area. This is considered a highlight because at noon on a clear day, the sun aligns perfectly with the opening. If you are inside the cave, you will see a beautiful beam of light shining down.

*Beyond this point is the last point of exploration. This is the most important place because it is the location of the stupa, which was discovered during the first cave exploration. However, the origin of the stupa remains unknown. Currently, a pagoda has been built to cover it. The air here is very cool and comfortable, and it is easy to breathe without any musty smell. If we don't waste time taking pictures, it will take us no more than half an hour to walk from the mouth of the cave to the stupa.
