Today, we will take you on a trip to a province that has been gaining popularity lately.

This province is located in the eastern region of Thailand and is known for its delicious seafood, charming homestays, fruit buffets, and scenic roads.

Yes, that's right, it's "Chanthaburi".

For our family, Chanthaburi is an annual travel destination.

This is because my mother loves durian very much and must eat it from the gardens of Chanthaburi only. 55555

Last year, we went to Chanthaburi to eat a fruit buffet, visit beautiful streets, and stay near Khao Laem Sing Beach.

This time, let's take a trip to the city of Chanthaburi.

After doing some research,

We found that Chanthaburi is a land of many beliefs.

Perhaps because this area has been important and has appeared in Thai history many times.

Due to its age, many places are full of interesting stories!

First, let's introduce the accommodation for this round.

..

PIMDARA HOTEL

Pimdara Hotel

The hotel's location is excellent, situated right at the Khao Kichakut intersection.

Although it is located in a small alley, this hotel is worth a visit!

Pimdara is a newly opened hotel. The highlight of this place is its style, which is a semi-art gallery.

It feels like every corner is filled with design.

For those who like new and trendy accommodations, I must say that this place is very enjoyable.

The highlight of this project is the concept behind the creation of the artwork.

Every design element has a purpose, a story, and most importantly, it is functional!

Let's take a look at each section.

Pimdara's accommodation looks like a typical building from the outside.

The first highlight is the color scheme. They use an orange tone that is very eye-catching and can be seen from afar.

They have a spacious parking lot in front, so you don't have to worry about how many cars you bring.

Although the building may appear like an ordinary one, its interior boasts a well-designed layout.

The ground floor features a small garden, adding a touch of greenery to the common area.

Not only that, the interior space is also adorned with various artworks.

These include both collected pieces and paintings created by the owner himself.

It's an experience akin to visiting an art exhibition or a pop-up art gallery.

The corridor outside the guest rooms is also stylishly designed.

This is not just a stylish design, but also a functional one.

In the late afternoon, the sunlight falls directly on the corridor, creating shadows as shown in the picture.

The concept is inspired by the patterns of Chanthaburi mats.

It's a profound idea, and not everyone gets to see it.

You have to wait until the afternoon when the sun is in the west.

The second floor has been transformed into a rooftop relaxation area.

Relax and unwind in our comfortable seating area.

Every Friday and Saturday night,

the hotel provides a relaxing atmosphere with soft music in the evening.

Drinks and food are also available in this area.

The most important highlight to check out is the dining room!

I want you to try to observe all the pictures in that room.

The room resembles an art gallery, with a black and white color scheme.

The paintings in this room depict various locations in Chanthaburi, also in black and white.

We couldn't help but wonder why the interior is so different from the vibrant exterior.

The artist's concept is to play with people's imagination.

Of course, anyone who wants to visit must do some research beforehand.

Some people may have seen the place in photos before, while others may have never seen it at all.

The artist chose to depict various corners of Chanthaburi in black and white because it allows viewers to imagine the colors and details themselves. This approach encourages viewers to actively engage with the artwork and envision the scenes in their own minds. Additionally, the artist believes that experiencing the actual locations in person creates a more profound connection than simply viewing photographs.

Moving on to the rooms, they are very spacious and not cramped at all.

The walls are decorated with stylish line art featuring rabbits.

At first, I thought the owner must have liked rabbits.

But I just found out that rabbits are the symbolic animal of Chanthaburi.

Each room has its own private balcony.

What's special is that the balconies are designed to be functional.

They're not just for standing and looking out (you know what I mean, right?).

In the morning, you can sit on your balcony and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Another unique aspect of this hotel is its breakfast.

The breakfast is prepared and served by the owner's mother, who is known for her generous portions and authentic local dishes.

The breakfast is a highlight of the hotel experience, offering a taste of the local culture and a warm, personal touch.

The day we went, they had stir-fried crab with rice vermicelli, which I think is hard to find in a delicious version.

An ancient local dish of Chanthaburi, it tastes similar to the familiar Pad Thai but without the egg.

The chewy noodles are stir-fried with a sweet and sour sauce, served with fresh vegetables. Delicious!

Another recommended menu is stir-fried pork with Chinese olives and stir-fried pork with ginger.

It depends on the chef's expertise on what the mother wants to serve to the customers today.

The menu changes every day, feeling like cooking for their children.

It feels very much like home.

The relaxed atmosphere here means you can also take your breakfast to your room.

Normally, other hotels do not allow this, but as I mentioned, every room has a balcony in front of it.

You can sit and relax and enjoy your meal at your leisure.

In conclusion, I personally love this place.

As a newly opened accommodation, cleanliness is not a concern.

The design is cool and perfect for taking cool photos.

The most impressive aspect is the creative concept, which draws inspiration from Chanthaburi province.

It embodies the spirit of a new generation returning to their hometown and striving to develop it in their own unique way.

The meticulous attention to detail is evident, and the overall execution is truly remarkable.

The accommodation is currently offering a promotion.

Rooms are reduced to 960.-/night with no additional charges! Great value for money!

For those who have plans to visit Chanthaburi and will be staying in the city center or visiting Khao Khitchakut, we highly recommend this place!

Let's start with the trip this time.

Every year, many people make merit, worship Buddha, and resolve their bad luck.

Chanthaburi is a very interesting destination.

As mentioned, it is an ancient city with many temples and religious sites.

Full of beliefs, this time we would like to present 2 interesting temples suitable for enhancing your luck!

...

Wat Khetnabunyaram

Despite its proximity to the popular tourist destination of the Chanthaburi Riverfront, this temple remains relatively unknown.

Notably, it is one of the few remaining Vietnamese temples in Thailand.

A significant highlight of the temple is the annual 'Nava Graha Puja' ceremony.

Why do we worship the stars?

In Chinese belief, the stars are like the destiny of our lives.

The movement of the stars has an effect on our destiny.

The stars are constantly moving, and their positions influence our lives.

As the stars shift, they affect different aspects of our lives, both positively and negatively.

This is what we often hear people say when they talk about "planetary movements."

These movements bring both good and bad experiences, adding flavor to the tapestry of life.

This is why we must perform a ceremony to ask the stars to protect us.

For good luck in life.

This temple is the only one in Thailand that has preserved the traditional star worship ceremony.

After visiting the temple for good luck, we continued our walk to the riverside community of Chanthaburi.

..

We believe that this community is unique compared to other districts.

Although it has been developed into a major tourist destination, it still retains a peaceful and nostalgic atmosphere. The old-fashioned streets maintain a local charm.

Along the way, there are shops and things to buy all the time. It's a lot of fun to walk around.

In addition to the retro atmosphere, there are also cool street art hidden in various corners.

If you're strolling through the riverside community of Chanthaburi, don't miss the legendary egg desserts.

..

Aunt Tai's Egg Dessert Shop

With over 60 years of experience passed down from mother to daughter, this shop operates day by day.

The queue at this shop is quite long, so it is recommended to order in advance and pick up your order after you have finished your walk.

It is also a great option for souvenirs, with very affordable prices of 20 baht per bag and delicious taste.

Location: In front of a small alley that leads to the Niramon Bridge and the Christian church.

Our destination is to admire the beauty of

The Immaculate Conception Church

This Christian church is considered a highlight of Chanthaburi.

It is located in the riverside community of Chanthaburi.

Crossing the canal, you will see a large statue of the Virgin Mary in front of you.

The interior is truly as beautiful as its reputation. :3

Let's take a break and recharge before we head to a local favorite for some delicious noodles.

It's not the famous mantis shrimp noodles, but rather…

Grandma's Noodles

The coordinates are at the Phuhua Floating Market. Let's say you find your way to the floating market.

You can park your car here because the parking fee is shockingly cheap, only 2 baht.

And if you can't find it, ask anyone around, everyone knows it. Hehe.

This spacious two-shop restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, including chicken rice and noodles.

I couldn't resist ordering one of each!

The first dish is Hainanese chicken rice. Hainanese chicken rice in Chanthaburi province is served with a spicy chili paste.

Mix it all together and enjoy! It's a different kind of deliciousness.

For those who prefer a spicy kick, there's also a delicious "yam" option available.

With a wide variety of choices, including fried chicken, roasted chicken, and grilled pork neck, there's something for everyone.

The menu here has a lot to offer. After eating a lot of rice, let's switch to noodles.

What I love about these traditional shops is that they don't hold back on the ingredients.

They give you a lot of toppings, and my favorite is the thinly sliced fried wonton sheets that float on top.

Eating it with the tom yum soup is the best. :3

The Hidden Gem of This Restaurant: Fried Mushroom Tom Yum Yen Ta Fo

This restaurant boasts a unique and delicious dish: Tom Yum Yen Ta Fo with fried mushrooms. These thin, crispy mushrooms, made with a batter, add an addictive crunch and a powerful flavor boost to the classic Thai noodle soup.

Consider ordering an extra side of these signature fried mushrooms to enhance your dining experience.

Next, we headed to our next destination.

Mangkon Buppharam Temple (Leng Noei Yi Temple)

This temple is an extension of the Mangkon Kamalawat Temple in Yaowarat, belonging to the same network.

When I say it's an extension, I'm not kidding. It's true.

You see, the Chinese dragon's belief consists of three parts: the head, the body, and the tail.

The temple was built with the intention of creating a place of worship for Thai people of Chinese descent.

The design of the temple is based on the Chinese dragon, which is considered a symbol of good luck.

The dragon is divided into three parts: the head, the body, and the tail. These three parts are represented by three different temples:

The head of the dragon is represented by the Mangkon Kamalawat Temple in Bangkok.

The body of the dragon is represented by the Chinprachasamosorn Temple in Chachoengsao.

The tail of the dragon is represented by the Mangkon Buppharam Temple in Chanthaburi.

The design of these temples is based on the Mangkon Kamalawat Temple.

This temple is another popular place for people to come and resolve their bad luck and misfortunes.

This is due to the renowned reputation of the Mangkorn Temple.

Follow the dragon's path and explore!

After a fulfilling spiritual experience, it's time to satisfy our hunger! 555555

Before concluding our trip, how can we miss a trendy spot?

Before heading home, we highly recommend this place:

'Bear Café'

A cafe with both coffee and spectacular Western food.

At first, I thought it was just a chic cafe, but it's not. They have something better than that.

The highlight is the signature menu, "Bear Ribs," which is a must-order for every table.

Guaranteed to be delicious, I really want you to try it!

Let's get to know the restaurant briefly first.

Actually, Bear Café' started as a small coffee shop.

With the desire to have a cafe in Chanthaburi that is easy to eat, like Chiang Mai,

So they opened a shop in their own style and have more and more customers.

The café has now expanded to include a full-fledged Café & Restaurant menu.

The food is just as delicious and unique as the coffee.

...

Since it was originally a coffee shop, I wanted to try the coffee, but it was already late and I didn't want to stay up all night.

I decided to have an iced cocoa instead to cool down.

Let's start with a savory dish.

An appetizer to whet your appetite: New Zealand mussels baked with cheese.

Large mussels with a generous amount of cheese - it's truly a delightful combination.

Next up, we have the soft-shell crab spaghetti with dried chili, a recommended dish displayed on the board.

This spicy noodle dish is perfect for cutting through the richness of other dishes.

The soft-shell crab here is no joke. It's not served in pieces or fragments, but rather, it's deep-fried whole!

Now for the main course, a menu item that is arguably another highlight of the restaurant.

A special recipe burger that I can only say is delicious and very impressive.

The burger towered majestically, reaching the height of the Baiyoke Tower.

Slightly grilled bread, topped with French fries, ground pork, fresh vegetables, cheese, and various sauces.

Finished with a thick slice of pineapple, bacon, and Mac & cheese.

Everything was so harmonious, so delicious that we forgot about calories (sometimes I'm scared of myself) 555.

The restaurant's signature dish is "bear ribs," which are actually pork ribs prepared by a chef with a bear-like physique.

The ribs are enormous, and their pricing defies conventional restaurant norms.

While most restaurants price ribs by weight, this establishment bases its prices on length.

The ribs can reach a staggering one meter in length!

Judging from the size of the dish served to the table next to us, it seems like it might be too much for us to handle. 555555

So, we'll just order half a meter for now. XD

But please note that the picture shows the medium size (half a meter).

The half-meter pork ribs are a must-try, priced at only 360 baht and perfect for sharing among four people.

The ribs are incredibly tender, practically melting in your mouth.

The sauce is delicious, although the portion could be a bit more generous. We ended up licking the plate clean!

The pork is well-marinated, with the flavors penetrating deep into the meat. The price is also very reasonable, making it an excellent value for money.

The total damage was only about 200 baht per person.

The ingredients are of high quality, the taste is excellent, and the owner is lovely.

I want everyone to experience the magnificence at a pocket-friendly price like us.

That's the end of our trip. For a short trip to Chanthaburi, 2 days 1 night.

I think I'll be back in the middle of the year.

Because it seems like my mother has a monopoly on appointments in the eastern zone during the durian season 555555

But then again, Chanthaburi is a year-round destination, a city that's not just about fruit.

Simple charm, not chaotic, it's another interesting travel route. >3

I think we'll be back in the middle of the year.

Simple charm, not chaotic, is another interesting travel route. >3

And there are actually many more places to visit in Chanthaburi that we haven't been to yet. The charm of Chanthaburi is truly overflowing!
