Searching for sushi restaurants in Osaka on Google will inevitably lead you to Uoshin Sushi, a renowned establishment known for its overflowing sushi toppings. This popular spot is a favorite among Thai tourists, and we will delve into the reasons behind its immense popularity.
"Uoshin Sushi," also known as "Overflowing Sushi," is located in the Umeda district. This restaurant is renowned for its "long fish, short rice, and generous toppings, resulting in a mouthful of deliciousness!" The establishment is relatively small, with approximately 3-4 tables for four people and the remainder being bar seating. When we arrived around noon, the restaurant was bustling with Japanese patrons and a few tourists.
**Prices range from 160 to 1,xxx yen.** Alternatively, during lunchtime, there are value-for-money set menus available, with 8 pieces of sushi starting at only 630 yen (approximately two hundred baht). The restaurant accepts Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and UnionPay credit cards and offers an English menu.
The set menu prices are very reasonable, but we did not order a set because there were some fish we could not eat. Instead, we chose to order our favorite dishes, such as salmon, salmon roe, and scallops.
Salmon Sushi is priced at 640 yen per pair.
The fish is so fresh and full of bones that it completely covers the rice.
Fatty Salmon Sushi costs 720 yen per pair.
Scallop Sushi (หอยเชลล์) 460 yen per pair. Sweet, fresh, and bouncy!
Cod roe sushi, priced at 160 yen per pair.
Salmon roe sushi (Ikura) is priced at 920 yen per pair.
Absolutely fresh and generous! Love it!
