The definition of relaxation for you is what? For us, relaxation is escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, finding a peaceful place, getting close to nature, sitting and listening to the sound of the waves, the sound of the mountains, eating delicious food, sleeping late, waking up when our body is ready, without having to rely on an alarm clock, in order to fully recharge our body and mind, making the most of the limited weekend time we have as salarymen.

Our journey began in Bangkok, heading towards Pran Buri district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province. After a three-hour drive, we arrived at L'AIR DU PRAN, our accommodation for the night.

After checking in, I took a seat in the dining room, where the staff served me a welcome drink of blended pineapple juice. The pineapple was of the Pattavia variety, a renowned fruit from the Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

After resting in the cool air conditioning, the staff began serving lunch.

The star of the meal was sun-dried squid, a renowned dish from Pranburi district.

Followed by dessert and fruits.

The restaurant offers a view of the expansive swimming pool facing the ocean.

There are chairs and cushions for lying down to enjoy the view.

After finishing their meal, they moved their belongings into their accommodations. The lodging offered three room types: Superior, Deluxe, and Family.

Our Deluxe room is 40 square meters in size, offering a spacious and airy atmosphere.

The room is fully equipped with amenities, including a TV, refrigerator, electric kettle, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, and air conditioning.

The room offers a choice of single (King bed) or double (Twin bed) beds, with the option to add an extra bed.

The room is decorated in white tones and uses warm orange lighting.

The bed and pillows are incredibly soft, with an estimated gravitational pull of 637.65 Newtons. The comfort is so profound that it makes it difficult to leave the bed.

The bathroom is clearly divided into three sections: the sink is located in the center between the shower and the toilet.

The bathroom is located on the right-hand side, with a door separating the dry and wet areas. It features two shower options and provides hot water.

The right side features a toilet with a bidet and blinds for additional light.

The room includes a dining table and chairs.

The balcony is furnished with a table and chairs for relaxation.

Succumbing to the irresistible pull of the cozy bed and soft pillows, we drifted into a deep slumber for several hours. Upon awakening, the sun was nearing the horizon, casting a warm glow across the sky. We decided to take a leisurely stroll along the beachfront near our accommodation. A small wooden bridge extended over the granite rocks, providing a path to the sandy shore.

The coastline in this area is protected by large, systematically arranged granite boulders, which help to prevent coastal erosion during the monsoon season.

A visually appealing breakwater that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment, creating a subtle yet impactful presence.

Wildflowers bloom in crevices between the rocks, swaying gently in the breeze.

Beyond the breakwater lies a long stretch of beach that extends from Khao Khao Lok to Khao Nam Sao.

The pristine white sand deserves an eight out of ten, while the overall atmosphere receives a perfect ten.

In addition to the beachfront, there is a dedicated path for cycling and jogging that runs parallel to the beach for several kilometers.

There are only a few hotels in this area, and the streets are not crowded with people or vehicles. This creates a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place to truly relax and unwind.

In front of the accommodation, there are two palm trees, symbolizing a loving couple standing side by side. This location is suitable for hosting wedding ceremonies.

The left building is the Lobby, while the right building is the dining room. Both buildings have a rooftop for parties.

The Lobby features a charming seating area adorned with adorable Cloud pillows, welcoming guests with a touch of whimsy.

For dinner, there will be a seafood party on the hotel's rooftop. If you are interested, please inform the hotel in advance so that they can prepare accordingly.

The table was adorned with candles and flowers, creating a pleasant ambiance.

All of these seafood products are directly sourced from local fishermen.

In addition to enjoying fresh and clean seafood, it also helps generate income for people in the surrounding community.

On the morning of the 2nd, we woke up relatively late, without the use of an alarm clock.

After showering and getting dressed, I packed my belongings and ventured out to explore the surroundings of my accommodation.

Each house has two floors, with one room on each floor. The walls of the room are made of large glass panels, allowing for ample natural light, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere.

For early risers, bicycles are available for loan from the hotel to enjoy a scenic ride along the beachfront.

A small cafe is located next to the hotel, offering a relaxing spot to enjoy a refreshing drink and the sea breeze.

In addition to drinks and cakes, there are also dim sum to enjoy. They are delicious, I must say.

"L'AIR DU PRAN" translates to "The Air of Pranburi" in French. The name also has a Thai pronunciation, "Lae Doo Pran," which means "See Pran." This name invites you to experience Pranburi for yourself.

For lunch, we dined at the hotel, which offered a wide variety of dishes, some of which are not available in Bangkok.

The restaurant's signature dishes showcase locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared by our talented local chefs.

This dish allows us to savor the unique local flavors, such as "Khao Pad Khai" (fried rice with "Khai," a small shrimp-like creature). "Khai" is typically used to make shrimp paste, but here it is stir-fried with rice, giving the rice a reddish hue, and topped with large shrimp.

After finishing the meal, we set off on our return journey to Bangkok.

Briefly stopped to take photos near the fishing village beside Khao Khao Lok.

The final stop is Khao Kaloke Beach.

The precious weekend for salarymen like us has passed in the past two days. It has been spent on worthwhile relaxation, fully recharging our physical and mental energy, ready to fight against our duties for another month.

Seeking a tranquil retreat to recharge your batteries? L'AIR DU PRAN emerges as an enticing option. Its secluded ambiance and comfortable accommodations, coupled with the serene ocean vistas, guarantee a genuine relaxation experience.
