Hello, I'm Gib from www.fallenforadventure.com (www.facebook.com/fallenforadventure).

Today, let's change the scenery from mountain trips to beach trips. If any of you are looking for a new beach that is not far from home, to go on a relaxing vacation, today we recommend the Burmese sea. Burma has the Mergui Archipelago, which is located in the south of Burma or on the left side of Ranong Province, Thailand. This archipelago consists of over 800 islands. Since the Burmese sea has only been open to foreign tourists since 1997, this place is considered one of the most untouched places in the world.

Mergui Archipelago

The ideal time to visit is from November to April, with December to February being the most perfect months.

Traveling to the islands is not difficult. You can simply take a plane or drive to Ranong province. From there, you can cross the border at Ranong province. There are several ways to explore the islands of Burma, including:

1. Stay in Ranong and join a tour company that offers one-day trips or round trips in the morning and evening.

2. Take a speedboat to a hotel on the Burmese side. Out of the 800 islands, there are 2-3 hotels open for tourists.

3. Liveaboard: This option is ideal for diving enthusiasts, allowing you to visit multiple dive sites and islands within a single trip. Several tour operators in Thailand offer liveaboard diving packages.

We opted for the liveaboard option because we also wanted to go scuba diving in the depths of the Burmese sea. The tour we went with was called A-One Diving. If you are interested in diving in Burma, we highly recommend A-One Diving. It is a Thai-owned company with excellent service. (All the crew members were friendly and attentive, and the chef was Thai, so the food was delicious every meal.) Plus, the boat was new and the price was reasonable. It was definitely worth it. Fallen For Adventure's Fan Page also offers special prices. If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected].

Our ship is called SEA WORLD.

In total, we completed 18 dives, with some days including visits to islands and beach walks at the captain's discretion. On our final day, we went diving and snorkeling at the Emerald Heart Island, also known as The Secret Lagoon, which was a highlight due to its stunning beauty. Checklist for Embarking on a Ship

- Raincoat and sweater – Because of the strong wind and getting wet during the dive, it is easy to get cold. Bring a windproof and rainproof jacket or a sweater to avoid getting sick.

- Extension cord - As there are limited power outlets, but we have too many electronic devices that need to be charged, bringing an extension cord is very useful.

- Waterproof bag – When going to the island, you have to take a small boat (Dinghy) to get there. Therefore, you have to walk through the water a little bit, so your belongings won't get wet.

- Quick-drying microfiber travel towel - Excellent water absorption and fast drying, very useful.

- Clothes Pegs – Clothes pegs are limited on board, and sometimes there may not be enough. It's a good idea to bring some extra ones.

- Medications – Although the ship has all the necessary generic medications, don't forget to bring your personal medications as well.

- Board Game – As there is no mobile phone signal in the middle of the sea, playing board games or dice is a good way to have fun.

  • Ziploc bag - for storing small items, such as wet swimsuits.

When diving, avoid touching coral, starfish, and other marine life. These creatures are delicate and can be easily damaged by human contact. Additionally, some marine animals may be poisonous. It is best to observe them from a distance and avoid any physical interaction.

Another important point is to be mindful of your fins while diving. Avoid kicking or stepping on the coral, as it takes years for these delicate organisms to grow to their current size. Let's work together to conserve our marine environment and its inhabitants so that future generations can continue to enjoy its beauty.
