Once, my friends and I had the opportunity to relax on a private island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Mun Nok. This island is part of the Koh Mun archipelago in the Klaeng district of Rayong province and is home to only one resort. We started our journey from Bangkok and boarded a boat at Laem Tal Pier in Ao Khai, Klaeng district. The resort provides a modified fishing boat to pick up guests daily at 1:00 PM. Parking is available for those arriving by car. It is recommended to arrive before the boat's departure to register for your stay and prepare your luggage for boarding. Additionally, there are many seafood restaurants near Laem Tal Pier where you can enjoy lunch before boarding the boat to the island.
After a 45-minute boat ride, a breathtaking island emerges, beckoning visitors with its crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand beaches. Small boats ferry guests from the larger vessel, transporting them to a paradise where bungalows line the shore. This tranquil escape offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With only 22 accommodations nestled amidst the natural beauty, guests can truly unplug and reconnect with nature. The island's vibrant peacocks provide a warm welcome, adding to the enchanting ambiance. Their presence throughout the stay serves as a constant reminder of the island's serenity.
Welcome drink with refreshing red soda and lime. We felt like we were really stranded on an island, but it might be a paradise island with many amenities. Air conditioning, water heater, bathroom separate from shower, essential toiletries like a hotel, and basic utilities. The resort provides fresh water throughout the day and electricity. The generator will be turned off for maintenance every day from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All meals are included here and are delicious. There is only phone signal in some areas, which we think is good. No need to contact anyone, just relax and enjoy the nature therapy. There are many activities to do here, such as walking around the island, which is both tiring and fun. It is also an eco-friendly trip because the back of the island has a complete ecosystem.
We strolled and took photos until dusk, capturing the breathtaking sunset. After freshening up, we indulged in the resort's delicious and fresh dinner. Satiated, we relaxed and admired the ocean view before parting ways for some personal time. Later, we gathered at the beachfront pavilion, enjoying light drinks, the soothing sound of waves, and moonlight as we reminisced about old times, catching up after a long time apart. As the night deepened, we bid each other goodnight and retired to our rooms for a peaceful slumber.
The morning began with a breathtaking sunrise and a delicious breakfast prepared by the resort. We then embarked on an invigorating snorkeling adventure, exploring the vibrant coral reefs and crystal-clear waters surrounding the island. After a refreshing swim, we showered, captured memories through photographs, and relaxed in the beachfront pavilion, savoring the tranquility of the ocean breeze. Finally, we indulged in a delightful lunch prepared by the resort before checking out.
As our blissful time on the island drew to a close, we bid farewell to this paradise. However, instead of returning on the resort's boat, we had another mission to accomplish. We chartered a speedboat at a reasonable price, as it was necessary for our journey to another island.
Another island to visit is Koh Man Nai, which houses a sea turtle conservation center. It's worth a quick stop. While Koh Man Nai may not be as visually stunning as Koh Man Nok, it offers a delightful natural environment with clear water and fresh air, providing an equally enjoyable experience.
This sanctuary houses sea turtles of all ages, including adults, juveniles, injured turtles, and hatchlings. The center provides care and rehabilitation for injured turtles and nurtures hatchlings until they are ready to be released back into the ocean.

This island also provides a green space for the little rabbits to run around... and then we have to go back. We said goodbye with the image of the cute little rabbits and the joy of being stranded on the heavenly island of Koh Mun Nok, which everyone should find time to experience. Because this is a real Slow Life and unplug vacation. Nature will definitely heal and recharge our lives to the fullest. Come and visit us^_^
