**Let's go exercise, challenge the heights, raise the Thai flag, and stand on the mountaintop together.**

No mountain is higher than our legs...

This trip, it's just me. I couldn't trick anyone into coming with me. 5555.

On April 14, 2017, we embarked on a journey from Cha-am District by private car. We used GPS to navigate to Khao Lom Muak, which took approximately two hours.

Good morning, Wing 5. We arrived at 8:00 AM without having breakfast. We were in a real hurry. We wanted to take off as early as possible to avoid the hot weather and sunshine.

Access to Wing 5 is restricted to vehicles only. Bicycles and motorcycles are permitted, but walking is prohibited.

At the entrance, a flock of Asian openbill storks awaits to cheer you on. There are also food vendors selling snacks for the birds.

The initial section of the trail is a series of stairs, which, surprisingly, proved to be more tiring than the actual mountain climb.

After the stairs, the climb becomes more challenging, but there are ropes to help you ascend. There are eight service points along the way to the top of Khao Lom Muak, where soldiers are stationed to assist hikers. If you run out of water, you can ask the soldiers for some; we received a bottle ourselves after finishing our own supply surprisingly quickly.

Occasionally, we encountered soldiers disembarking, requiring us to wait while they reorganized. Despite these interruptions, the scenery along the way remained exceptionally beautiful.

There were only two sections where the climb was truly challenging. It wasn't too strenuous, but it required some arm strength to pull yourself up. However, the rocks here are sharp, so be careful.

We finally reached the summit of Mount Lompoc, standing at an impressive 902 feet. The view from the top was even more breathtaking than in the pictures.

We arrived at around 10 am after a 2-hour hike. The sun was already out, and it was scorching hot. Hiking during the hot season requires enduring the heat. We highly recommend coming during the winter season for a much more pleasant experience. The current temperature is 33 degrees Celsius, and we are sweating profusely.

There is a Buddha statue for you to pray for blessings before going down. (May my child go down safely.)

Take a break and then brace yourself for the hot weather again. There are a lot of people, so if you want to take pictures on the many cliffs, you have to queue up. Be careful, it's all cliffs.

The viewpoint that previously offered a panoramic view of both Ao Prachuap and Ao Manao is now off-limits for photography. This restriction extends to any area within the operational jurisdiction of Wing 5 of the Royal Thai Air Force.

Although it was a short distance, it was full of excitement, beauty, and the charm of each mountain, which was different. Even though the weather was hot, it would be a greater pity not to come up and see it with my own eyes.

This is a picture of the descent. It took us 1.5 hours.

You can request a certificate at the registration point upon arrival. The fee is 60 baht per person.
