Vietnam Airlines Review 2017: Enjoy Delicious Meals, Comfortable Seats, and 30kg Extra Baggage Allowance.
Bangkok-Hanoi-Tokyo (Haneda) Route, Roundtrip with Extended Layovers for Airport Exploration.
Hello, I have been writing reviews frequently lately! Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to use Vietnam Airlines. I intend to review the airline because I believe there is very little information available about it for those who are considering using it. Is it good?
Our reason is that it is a full-service airline. One-time payment for everything (The route we flew had a long layover in Hanoi, but that's not a problem). Laziness + another pile of work waiting, so I haven't written anything yet. But yesterday at around 3:30 PM, we received a letter from the airline, sent from the office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Inside the envelope was the membership card that the airline sent us.
BKK-HAN-HND Flight
April 1, 2017
Today marks the beginning of our journey to Tokyo, departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
We have completed our web check-in (24 hours before departure). Upon arrival, we proceeded to a separate line for check-through baggage. We received two boarding passes: * Boarding Pass 1: BKK - HAN * Boarding Pass 2: HAN - HND
After receiving our boarding passes, we waited to board the plane (it was quite a long walk).
Upon boarding, the aircraft is configured in a 3-3 seating arrangement. The majority of passengers are Vietnamese.
The seats are spacious and comfortable.
The flight was wonderful! (I almost cried)
After flying for a while, I could smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread. Soon, the flight attendants served our meals (which were meat dishes, with no choice of menu).
There were rumors that this airline had delicious food,
and I had to try it for myself. "It really was delicious!"
After we finished our meals, the flight attendants collected our trays.
Shortly after, the plane prepared for landing.

Approximately 8:00 PM, we arrived at Noi Bai Airport. We could have followed the signs to the gate for our connecting flight.
However, our next flight wasn't until the morning, so we decided to go through immigration and explore the area outside the gate.
We planned to walk around, find something to eat, and maybe even find a place to sleep outside the gate.
Big mistake! Once we were outside, we looked around and…
"I give in," she said, returning to sleep at the gate. She felt safer than walking through immigration and baggage scanning, which would have taken her straight to the gate. The gates here are arranged in a long row.
We explored the airport to find a place to sleep tonight. We chose the brand new, clean airport. We can sleep and use the wifi (although it might cut out every hour, not sure). There are also charging stations available. Most of the shops are closed, except for Burger King which is open 24 hours.
Upon reaching the sleeping quarters, we proceeded to inspect the bathroom, which was found to be clean and odorless. However, it lacked a shower facility.
The overflowing trash, however, was a cause for concern. It is possible that the cleaning staff had already departed, or perhaps the bin was simply too small.
Nevertheless, by morning, the overflowing trash had been removed by the cleaning staff. (It should be noted that we did not capture any photographs of the room in the morning.)
After attending to personal matters, we spent the remainder of the evening relaxing and intermittently dozing off.
Before we knew it, morning had arrived.

After washing our faces and brushing our teeth, we had a bowl of "pho bo" for breakfast, which cost 5 USD.
It was delicious, truly delicious, and I'm not just saying that because of the price.
The broth was very fragrant with the smell of beef, and the bowl was large. I was very full.
The restaurant also has Wi-Fi available (the password is on the receipt).
After that, you can proceed to the gate to wait for your flight. (Please check the display screen for your boarding gate, as it is not indicated on your boarding pass. Don't wander off!)
It's time to board. The line is long, and the plane is full. However, the airline manages the process efficiently, with minimal steps and no fuss. Passengers are quickly and smoothly boarded.
The seats are arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration and are equipped with individual screens. The seats recline and come with blankets and pillows.
Passengers can pick up newspapers (Japanese, Vietnamese) at the gate before entering their seats.
In just a moment, the captain had the plane in the air.
Goodbye, Hanoi ^^
The headphones will come in a plastic bag with new foam earpieces.
There are many movies to watch.
After a while, the crew came around to distribute the food menu. Passengers could choose between Western or Japanese style meals.
We both chose Japanese, and the food looks just like this.
Beverages include bottled water, soft drinks, juices, tea, coffee, wine, and beer (served in cans). Refills are available.
The plane is about to land. The captain's announcement is heard. The sun is shining brightly and the sky is clear. The weather is perfect for a trip. (Smiling)
The sentence is in Thai and translates to:
"Bang!!!!!!!! The wheels hit the ground like a ten-wheeler falling into a pothole. It's like hardcore hard, hahaha."
Arrival at Haneda Airport at 2:30 PM (scheduled arrival time was 3:05 PM).
No mistake. Arrived early, even though the plane departed Hanoi on time. ^^
The immigration queue was long, but the wait time was short.
Immigration: We opted for the Keikyu line and purchased a round-trip ticket package that included a 24-hour subway pass (1,500 yen).
Important: Keep the paper ticket safe. Don't accidentally crumple it up, as you'll need it again on your return trip.

I told you that we need to use it on the way back. We keep it well because if it gets lost, we have to pay for it again.
Before leaving the station to enter the airport, present this form to the officer for stamping. They will collect it at the exit.
The Vietnam Airlines counter is located at Row L.
There is a prayer room available, located opposite Row L.
We have already completed web check-in. We just need to drop off our bags at the check-through counter and collect them at our final destination as usual.
We received two boarding passes.
Please proceed to Gate 143 for boarding. The walk to the gate is quite long, so please be prepared.
If you haven't finished your souvenir shopping, you can do so on your way to the gate if time permits.
Arrival at the boarding gate.
The plane is now on standby, ready for departure.
The aircraft configuration is 3-3-3, identical to the outbound flight. The boarding process is the same (so we will skip it).
Food
(Note: The original text ends here. There is no further information about the food.)
We opted for the Western style (which was a bit greasy, but we finished it all anyway. Hehe.)
Our friend's choice was Japanese style (still delicious as always).
Upon arrival in Hanoi
This time, we both didn't go outside. We went to scan our luggage. Oh! I forgot to mention that in Hanoi, you have to take off your shoes when you walk through the scanner.
After completing all the steps, we went to the same place as before. The same chair, exactly the same as when we arrived, but familiar. It felt like we were visiting a friend's house. 555

Please proceed to Gate 22 for boarding.

This is the meat. My friend and I love beef. It's delicious and affordable.
The end.
HAVE A NICE TRIP
