Hello everyone! Today, Seally-Go-Round the sea lion is reporting from Pattaya, my hometown. 😄

Even though I live in the tourist city of Pattaya, I don't often see the sea, the beach, or the sunset. After all, I spend most of my days working in the kitchen.^^'

Since moving from Bangkok, I've become a local in Pattaya, making a living here. Many of my friends, especially my close girlfriends, often message me on LINE asking...

...Hey, I'm going to Pattaya. Do you have any recommendations for places to stay? Where should I sleep/eat/hang out, etc.? The questions are endless!

Well, I live at home in Pattaya, so you'd think I work for the TAT Pattaya branch, right? But since I want my friends to visit me in Pattaya, I just complain to myself and then quickly search for information to give them. I use reviews to find accommodation options, as long as my friends give me some specifications about their preferences and budget, I'll find 2-3 choices for them.

Honestly, I don't have much personal experience with accommodation in Pattaya. I mostly focus on collecting information about tourist attractions, restaurants, and food. ^^

But today I had the opportunity to survey a hotel that I think my girlfriends, both real and fake, would love for its chic and stylish vibe. Plus, it's located right on Pattaya Beach, making it convenient, with great views and a true Pattaya beach feeling.

- MERA MARE -

This hotel is a Boutique Hotel that has been open for just over a year, which is considered very new compared to the many hotels in Pattaya. Its newness comes with a sleek and luxurious style, but at an affordable price, with various amenities and a prime location on Pattaya Beach Road. Just a few steps across the street, and you're on the sand and in the sea.

- Getting to Hotel Mera Mare -

Over 50% of visitors to Pattaya come by car, as it's only a short drive from Bangkok (less than 2 hours, traffic permitting).

Take the motorway for a short distance until you reach Pattaya. Then follow the Pattaya North road until you reach the Dolphin Roundabout. Continue straight onto Beach Road.

Drive along the beach, but don't just enjoy the beautiful sea view. Look to your left occasionally. The Mera Mare Hotel is located before the Hard Rock Hotel, with a clear sign. Drive in and park below the hotel. There is ample parking available, as most guests are foreigners who do not have cars. ^^

Before heading to the beach or exploring Pattaya, let's check in at the front desk in the hotel lobby.

Check-in time is from 2:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM. The hotel has a good rating on popular hotel booking websites.

Before heading up to the room, let's hang out in the lobby for a bit. I have to say, the lobby is absolutely glamorous!

The black and blue marble floor, along with the overall mood and tone, is perfect for a fashion shoot.

This is why I said that my girlfriends, the "Lady Gang," would go crazy and immediately unpack their clothes, grabbing their best outfits to take photos, wanting to be the top contenders in the "wanna be on top" competition while traveling in Thailand.

Woman on Top: A Definition

Today our room is on the 4th floor, take the Da Vinci Code elevator for a bit and you'll be there.

This hallway leading to the room makes me want to nudge you, Te, to use it as the Final walk runway for The FACE. Seriously.

Oh... what a pity. I didn't bring an evening dress and high heels. I was going to walk and do a full turn before entering the room.😆

- MERA MARE DELUXE ROOM -

Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a spacious and well-appointed deluxe room.

. . . Conveniently, the hotel provided two key cards, allowing for independent access for both guests.

Wi-Fi access was secured through a web-based login system, utilizing the password provided on the key card envelope. The internet signal was consistently strong throughout the lobby and guest room.

Let's take a look at our room. It's a Deluxe room with twin beds.

Spacious and airy room, comfortable to live in.

The bathroom is also quite sexy, with a view or TV to watch while you shower.

Or you can let people in the room watch you shower. . . . Oops!!!! 18+

The room has both a shower and a bathtub, so you can relax and enjoy your stay.

Let's take a look back at our bed, pillows, and mosquito nets.

. . . I lay down and looked up at the ceiling. Oh my! I was startled and almost dropped the camera.

A room with more than six sides of mirrors (the sound of the title song of the show is echoing in my head 555)

I'm here to tell you that this room is top-notch, with grade A mirrors, not just cheap knock-offs.

The room is full of mirrors, more than any room I've ever seen. The bedroom, the bathroom, the bathroom door, the ceiling above the bed, everywhere you look you see yourself. . . . It's a room that truly reflects who you are, showing you yourself in every dimension.😆

The balcony opens up to a seating area. This room faces the Hard Rock Hotel, and from the balcony, you can catch a glimpse of the sea in the distance.

Mera Mare's Restaurant: 'October Sky'

Mera Mare's restaurant, aptly named 'October Sky,' offers a tantalizing fusion of Thai and international cuisine. For today's meal, let's have 3 light Thai dishes (hmmmmm, light?).

Let's take a look at each menu. . .

The first menu, which is an appetizer, is

' Shrimp Cakes '

Spherical in shape, resembling meatballs, topped with a sauce similar to passionfruit sauce, with a subtle hint of alcohol in the sauce.

The body massage was very good, the muscles were firm and bouncy.

The next dish, which looks good but is a bit small, is...

'Braised Pork Salad'

Beautifully colored, so beautiful that I don't dare to scoop it up and eat it. If I scoop it up, it will be broken, and I'm afraid it won't be beautiful ^^

The salad is flavorful, the braised pork is tender and melts in your mouth. I would like to see a larger portion size for this dish.

Another dish is

' Spicy Roasted Duck Curry '

This is a Thai curry that is not often eaten. Normally, at the restaurant, the sea lion will only make coconut milk curries, such as panang and green curry, with pork or chicken, depending on what is available. It's not that they are lazy to go buy roast duck. When they were abroad, they tried making it themselves, but they replaced the roast duck with roast pork instead. It was a good substitute.

The curry paste here is flavorful, but there is a slight bitterness from the chili paste. Based on my experience as a cook, it seems that the chili paste was not fried with oil long enough before the meat was added. If the paste had been fried longer, it would have been more fragrant and the chili paste flavor would not have been so prominent. This is just my personal opinion, but the people I was eating with said they liked it. They said the curry was rich and flavorful.

The addition of fruits enhances the sweetness, richness, and color of the dish. Red grapes, pineapple-stuffed lychees, and heirloom tomatoes add a fruity touch to this spicy roasted duck curry, making it a complete and visually appealing meal.

The dishes are incredibly colorful, making for a visually stunning meal. The flavors are bold and authentically Thai, while the presentation is creative and well-executed. The prices are reasonable for a hotel restaurant.

Whether you are staying at Mera Mare or not, you are welcome to enjoy a meal here for lunch or dinner.

The October Sky restaurant is open from breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Parking is convenient, you can park on the side or on the lower floor of the hotel's parking lot.

- SWIMMING POOL & FITNESS -

The swimming pool and fitness room are located on the front side of the building on the 2nd floor. You can work out while enjoying the sea view. It's refreshing.

The pool provides towels, so please do not bring your own from your room. Wet towels can drip water and create a mess, making it difficult for the maid to clean.

Please sign your name and room number and take a towel. When finished, please place the used towel in the basket next to the pool.

The pool here is shallow, with a depth of 1 meter throughout. Perfect for a petite mermaid like me who can't swim well. Yay!!

Most hotel, resort, or condo swimming pools are very deep. Even standing on my tiptoes like a ballerina in Swan Lake, my head doesn't even come out of the water. My weakness is my height, I guess. . . . Oh well!!! It's okay, I can just crawl around the edge of the pool.

. . . But here, at one meter deep, I won't drown for sure ^^

The swimming pool is not very large, but it is big enough for guests to take a dip, sunbathe, and enjoy the beautiful view.

In the late afternoon, when the sun is not as strong, guests from various countries come to the pool to swim and sunbathe.

The swimming pool is open from 7 am to 9 pm. If you want to feel refreshed and awake, it is recommended to come in the morning. The sun is not too strong because the building blocks the sun. There are no people because they are still asleep. You can swim freely.😆

Next to the swimming pool is a fitness room called 'Get Lean'.

Running on the treadmill here at sunset feels like jogging on the beach.

The gym also has a resident Korean trainer. If you want to burn calories or do cardio,

you can consult the trainer. . . . Hello!

After swimming until I was soaked, I went back to my room to shower and relax.

Since my room has a bathtub, I decided to have a private foam party.

No one is here to join the party today, so I'll just play with the soft bubbles quietly by myself.

It's nice to finally feel like I'm truly relaxing. I'm so used to being in Pattaya every day that I sometimes forget it's a tourist destination. ^^

In the late afternoon, I wanted to go for a walk and watch the sunset, with a view of the P A T T A Y A sign.

I just had to cross the street in front of the hotel and sit on the beach, letting the sea breeze blow in my face.

Pattaya may be crowded, but the sea is still pretty good.

Foreigners seem to be happy with the sea in Pattaya.

This kind-hearted foreign citizen jogged along the beach in the evening and even helped pick up trash to keep it clean. How admirable!^^

For ladies who love sweets and are looking for snacks to munch on while catching up with friends,

there's no need to go far. The Mera Mare Hotel has a cute cafe called 'Pastry Addiction' right at the entrance.

In the late afternoon, order an Afternoon Tea set, sip tea, and enjoy beautiful pastries. Just like that, you'll get the feel of an English gentleman. 😁

Woke up in the morning, opened the curtains on the balcony, the light came in and pierced my eyes. The weather today is quite clear, huh? Look at the clock, it's exactly 7 o'clock.

Great, let's go jump in the water to refresh ourselves. In the morning like this, no one wakes up to play.

Ready to start the workday feeling refreshed.

After swimming, I returned to my room to shower and prepare to return to my duties. That is, to open the shop at nine o'clock in the morning. But for those who are staying leisurely, they can check out as late as noon. You can sleep in late, but don't be too late or you'll miss breakfast.

So I took a shower, packed my things, and went down to feed the seals breakfast at the usual place, October sky.
