Apologies, this is my first attempt at reviewing. This is my personal perspective on the experience.

Let me preface this by saying...

Koh Kula is located in Sawi District, Chumphon Province, within the Chumphon Marine National Park. The best time to visit is between January and May when the water is at its clearest. In addition to snorkeling, there are also kayaking activities, where you can paddle around the island. Koh Kula also has a sea turtle nursery, where turtles frequently lay their eggs. Therefore, the officials have set up a nursery for green turtles and release them into the sea to conserve the species for future generations.

  • We departed from Bangkok at 2:00 AM on April 30, 2017. After a six-hour drive, we arrived at Mu Ko Chumphon National Park. After resting and having breakfast, it was time to board the boat.

- Our journey began at the pier of Mu Ko Chumphon National Park. The boat captain took us snorkeling at three islands: La Wa Island, Lang Ka Jew Island, and Ku La Island. The boat rental fee was 3,800 baht per boat, with a capacity of 10 people. Contact the boat tour and snorkeling service with equipment provided at Mu Ko Chumphon National Park. Phone: 077-558144

  • Accommodation on Koh Kula Island has 3 houses, each accommodating 5 people for 1200 baht/house. There is also a camping area, if I remember correctly, renting a tent for 250 baht. Contact Mr. Samreung at 089-9700504.

- The food on the island costs 600 baht per person for 3 meals, guaranteed to be delicious every time. (Note: There are no pictures because the food was so good that it was devoured immediately.)

- Activities on Koh Kula include relaxing by the sea in the shade, snorkeling to see coral reefs right off the coast, and free canoeing. In the morning and afternoon, there are tourists who do not stay overnight, but after that, the whole island is ours because there are only 3 accommodations and we have booked them all.

Koh Kula has three beaches:

1. The waters near the pier are crystal clear, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and observing the vibrant coral reefs.

2. The beach in front of the accommodation has less clear water, but its cove-like shape makes it suitable for kayaking.

3. The west side of the beach offers the most stunning sunset views. Small fishing boats waiting to go out fishing create a truly atmospheric scene.

**** Besides the 3 islands we visited, the Chumphon Archipelago has many other beautiful islands to explore, such as Koh Matra (with accommodation), Koh Lak Raet, Koh Ngam Yai, Koh Ngam Noi, Koh Maphrao, and Koh Thonglang. For more information on tourism, please contact the Chumphon Archipelago National Park.

Let's start by telling the story through pictures.

After a short boat ride, we arrived at La Wa Island. Unfortunately, it was drizzling slightly, making the water less clear. Additionally, there were many jellyfish at La Wa Island, so we quickly got out of the water and continued snorkeling at Langka Jew Island.

Approximately 20 minutes from Ko La Wa, you will reach your next destination: Ko Langka Jew.

Wow, the water is incredibly clear! It's the clearest water I've ever seen.

Rangka Yai Island is a concession island for swiftlet nests. It holds historical significance as King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) visited the island three times to observe the nest collection. His royal initials, จปร., are inscribed on the cave wall at the southern entrance, serving as a testament to his visits. Rangka Yai Island boasts beautiful beaches and a well-preserved fringing coral reef on its western side.

We can go up to the island to take pictures. Let's go to the island now! ^^

On Langkawi Island, the beaches are characterized by small, soft pebbles that are pleasant on the feet. However, we arrived in the afternoon, and it was incredibly hot. After taking photos on the beach until our hearts were content, it was time to jump into the water. The underwater world of Langkawi Island is just as beautiful as the scenery above.

** Underwater photos will be posted later. **

After diving until our lungs were full, fatigue and hunger set in. We left Koh Larn and continued by boat for about 20 minutes. We arrived at Koh Kula, our accommodation for this trip. We were impressed from the moment we arrived at the pier.

After a satisfying meal, we dispersed to pursue our individual interests.

  • Some go snorkeling to see the coral reefs.

- Some people go boating for fun.

- We'll explore the island on foot.

Let's go boating together.

On Koh Kula, there is a beach on the west side where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. However, to reach this beach, you need to walk around for about 300 meters.

Note: We cheated by paddling across. We were too lazy to walk. ^^

The sun is setting. Let's go watch the sunset together.

Good morning on this bright Labor Day. It's a pity that Koh Kula doesn't have a beautiful sunrise because the beach faces west. This morning, we all went our separate ways to do activities before having a delicious breakfast.

Our blissful time came to an end as the boat arrived at 8:30 AM, signaling our departure.

The journey from Koh Kula to the Chumphon Archipelago National Park headquarters takes approximately 30 minutes by boat.

We have reached the shore. Let's take a group photo together. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this fun trip.

See you again at "Koh Kula", Chumphon Archipelago National Park.

Thank you, Mr. Samreung, the park ranger who took good care of us. If you want to stay at Koh Kula, please contact Mr. Samreung at 089-9700504 or Chumphon Archipelago National Park at 077-558144.

Accommodation, tour guide, and meals are all arranged by Mr. Samrarn.

Let's continue with some more underwater images of La Wa Island and Langkawi Island.
I used an SJ4000 camera and didn't take any still photos, so I captured these images from the video above.
