Shangri-La in the Ratchaprapha Dam (เขื่อนรัชชประภา) Chiew Lan, a heavenly paradise.

This trip came about because a friend invited me, and I was completely clueless about the location. I have no idea what to expect at the destination.

We arrived at the dam at approximately 6:00 AM.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there were 21 of us on this trip. I thought to myself, "Wow, that's a lot of people. It's going to be fun!"

Please follow my work.

Upon arrival, the friends dispersed to capture the morning light at the dam. The gentle sunlight warmed their bodies instantly.

The front view shows a distant valley with wisps of fog floating around.

The sun rises alongside a straight road that stretches as far as the eye can see...

Reaching the top corner of the dam, the clouds drifted by.

This is a picture of me, taken by a friend. They must have been wondering what I was talking about, haha.

Snap a quick photo before setting sail down the dam.

It takes 2 hours and 10 minutes to reach Klong Hya unit by boat from the pier. This is the time it took us to travel by boat from the pier to Klong Hya Floating Market.

We have arrived at our accommodation, the Klong Hya Forest Protection Unit.

Known as Khlong Saeng by many, the full name is Khlong Saeng Wildlife Sanctuary. Khlong Saeng is located approximately twice the distance from the Ratchaprapha Dam Tourist Pier as the 500 Rai Floating Market, which many people are familiar with. At Khlong Pa Ya, there is no mobile phone signal, but there is Wi-Fi available for you to stay connected. Electricity is also available for charging your batteries and mobile phones as needed.

This area experiences frequent rainfall, not just during the rainy season.

The frequent rainfall is attributed to the area's status as a wetland, experiencing 30-40 rain bursts per day.

Fortunately, playing in the open air means there's no chance of being struck by lightning. Haha!

The view from the end of the dam is truly breathtaking. Lush greenery and a thriving ecosystem paint a picture of pure beauty.

On the second day of our trip, we took a boat ride to admire the scenic Khlong Saeng, the source of the Ratchaprapha Dam.

Cruising along, enjoying the scenery. Day 2, still no sign of the sun. The atmosphere is gloomy, and raindrops threaten to fall on our heads at any moment.

Note: The red headcloth signifies the leader of our tribe (Nuan) and the captain of the boat.

A withered tree against a mountain view, with mist flowing in the distance, reflecting the water ripples. This is pure paradise.

Cruising along the scenic views of Khao Sok until the end of the navigable route, the view ahead is the headwaters of the Ratchaprapha Dam.

The highlight of this place is that wild animals will surprise us all the time...

This morning was a very lucky day for us. We sailed to the end of Khlong Saeng until we could go no further. The area here has a vast grassland.

A habitat for wild bulls and other wildlife. After a while, we encountered a bull walking out to graze.

Wow! It's truly amazing!

Coupled with intermittent rain and a rainbow arcing across the mountains.

We encountered a herd of 14 bulls with reddish calves grazing in the distance. We had to turn off the engine and let the boat drift silently towards the bulls.

A wide-angle shot, unfortunately, I didn't have a telephoto lens at the time.

Crop 100% to show the bull. You are very handsome.

Day 3 of the trip, wake up early, shower, brush your teeth, get dressed and prepare to travel back to the dam.

It's time for us to depart from Khlong Saeng and return to the pier via the checkpoint at Khlong Mon.

The 360-degree view around us is truly breathtaking, wouldn't you agree?

On the way back to the pier, we stopped at Khao Sam Kler in Kaeng Krachan National Park, a key location for capturing memories.

A must-visit for those visiting the Ratchaprapha Dam.

A mountain view with mist floating around, the green water is strangely beautiful in another way.

The water is naturally green.

This is a short review of the Ratchaprapha Dam from my perspective. This is my first review, so please forgive me for any mistakes.
