Hello there! Seally-go-round, the same old good cat, is back in the same old good place, PATTAYA!
Today, Seally will introduce another accommodation in Pattaya, as an option for those who are looking for a budget-friendly place to stay.
That is, the price is not much different from staying in a hostel, but with many more amenities, such as:
- Private room, no more sleeping in cramped quarters or sharing a room with strangers.
- Private bathroom, no need to use a shared bathroom.
- Swimming pool, perfect for showing off your new bikini.
- Fitness center, for your daily 30-minute run on the treadmill, as ordered by your trainer.
- Buffet breakfast with a wide variety of choices, so you don't have to rely on 7-Eleven for your meals.
- And most importantly, close to Pattaya Beach, shopping malls, and plenty of food options.
Wow, that's a lot! You might as well pray for the first prize in the lottery at the ten-baht donation box.
. . . . Actually, I'm a minimalist at heart, you know, less is more.
But is there a place that offers "Pay less, but get more"?
. . . . I have to say... Yes, there is!
Here it is... A-One Star Hotel | PATTAYA
Let's see what we get for a little over a thousand baht (for a double room) by staying here. Follow me for a check-in!
Today, I had the opportunity to try staying at the A-one star hotel, a hotel in the A-One chain, located near the hotel that looks like a ship.
A-one actually has hotels in its chain in Bangkok, near Rama 9, and 3 more in Pattaya, which are located close to each other.
Getting here is not difficult at all. If you come to Pattaya but can't find this hotel, I'll spank you! 555 Because it's so easy to find.
No matter if you take a bus, van, or drive yourself, take the North Pattaya route. When you reach the Dolphin Roundabout, continue straight on the Beach Road and enter Soi Pattaya 3, the soi where the A-One hotels are located: A-One The Royal Cruise, A-One Pattaya Resort, and A-One Star Hotel.
Manee proposes that Soi Pattaya 3 be renamed Soi A-One for easy reference.
Within 100 meters from the entrance of the soi, you will find A-One Star Hotel on your right. If you are driving, you can park under the building.
Parking is limited, as most guests are foreigners without cars. However, if the parking lot is full, the security guard will allow you to park at A-one Royal Cruise instead. Please do not park alongside the hotel, as it is reserved for tour buses.
Proceed to the lobby for check-in.
This accommodation welcomes guests from various nationalities.
The lobby has a designated smoking area outside.
After checking in, tap your card on the elevator panel to go up to your room.
This building has two wings, A and B. Today, we are staying in Building A, on the 8th floor.
The hallway leading to our room is beautifully designed, with a modern and chic aesthetic.
Let's take a look inside our room, a Star Room.
Compact Studio Apartment with No Balcony
This brand new studio apartment boasts a compact layout with no balcony. The air conditioning is exceptionally cool, and the room is infused with a pleasant fragrance. As a non-smoking room, it provides a fresh and clean environment. The double bed features a unique lighting system that illuminates the underside, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a spaceship preparing for launch.
The bathroom is located within the room, but due to the mini size of the room, the bathroom design had to separate the shower room, toilet, and sink to make the room feel more spacious and less cramped.
While this design may not be as convenient as having everything in one room, it is still more convenient than having to walk out to use a shared bathroom like in a typical hostel.
Shower Room
Two key cards are provided, which is convenient for those staying together as each person can have one. This allows for easy access without having to wait for each other.
Those who want to soak in the water can go to Building B and press the button to go up to the 4th floor.
This is a paragraph with no content.
The pool will be a mini size, 8 strokes in length. This means that it will take 8 strokes to reach the other side.
However, if you are swimming with the power and speed of Michael Phelps, you could reach the other side in just 4 and a half strokes.
Well, you don't have to go all out. Just soak in some cool water to relax.
The pool on the 4th floor is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Please pick up towels from the counter on the 1st floor. Food and drinks from outside are not allowed by the pool.
A-one star offers a variety of room types to suit your needs, with larger rooms available upon request.
These include: Superior star room / Super star room with more spacious rooms / Super star room with balcony with a balcony / Super Star Family 4 PAX which can accommodate 4 people.
(*Click on the room names above to view photos of the rooms on the hotel's official website.)
. . . Choose the room that's right for you ^^
Now, let's talk about what I mentioned earlier: "Pay less, get more". . . What does that mean?
Well, . . . In addition to having access to buildings A and B of A-One star,
* * * You can also use the facilities of A-one The Royal Cruise. * * *
This includes the fitness center, which is open from morning until 10pm.
Abundant exercise equipment, fully equipped.
Let's exercise, Haf! We don't need to go as far as throwing elbows and knees, just some basic Muay Thai moves.
Or you can come and play in the large swimming pool in front, which has two pools. Now you can swim as much as you want...
Including the lounge here. If you're visiting Pattaya but the midday sun is too hot and you don't want to go out, you can spend your time here. It's amazing!
This is a blank paragraph.
Luxurious and beautiful
Alternatively, if you crave a sweet treat, the on-site CREAM CAFÉ offers a delightful selection of desserts and beverages.
The cafe has potential, the shop is cute, and the dessert menu is interesting. However, I didn't know it existed before. Even the walruses in Pattaya don't know about it ^^'
The dessert menu offers a variety of enticing options at prices comparable to those found in typical dessert cafes, avoiding the exorbitant costs often associated with hotel establishments.
For a light bite, we tried the Brownie à la mode, which is a brownie topped with ice cream. It cost 150 baht (including VAT and service charge).
Drizzle some strawberry sauce, it's delicious. Warm brownie with a scoop of smooth and dense ice cream. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and berry sauce, it's a perfect combination.
There are many other interesting menus. If the hotel promotes the restaurant a little more, I believe that dessert lovers must come and try the desserts of this restaurant.
The seats are comfortable for relaxing, cool and comfortable in the evening. Anyone staying at A-One Star or Royal Cruise can come and sit and eat snacks at this shop.
As for the room on the A-ONE The Royal Cruise side, which is of course more expensive than A-One star.
The spacious room is decorated with a Cruise theme, resembling a luxurious cruise ship at sea. The dominant color scheme is Navy Blue, and the hotel staff are dressed as sailors.
Suite room sprinkled with rose petals ^^
This building houses all the amenities you would expect to find on a luxury cruise ship, including a club lounge, massage rooms, a spa, a fitness center, and even a beauty salon.
Let's go hang out at the beach this evening. It's just across the street, and we'll be at Pattaya Beach.
We could even pitch a tent and sleep under the coconut trees if we wanted to.
This beach boy dog guards the beach in front of Aewan. He turns and smiles sweetly.
The weather in Pattaya has been rather peculiar lately. The mornings are scorching hot with bright sunshine, but in the afternoons, clouds roll in from nowhere, making it muggy and oppressive. It feels like it's about to rain, but it never does. (I've been cooking at home and it's so hot, I have to shower 2-3 times a day.)
Strangely enough, as the sun sets, there are glimpses of beautiful light before the sky turns dark.
The vibrant twilight hues attracted a large number of tourists who eagerly took selfies.
The poolside bar is open in the evenings.
Order a cold drink to relax.
Craft Beer is Here to Stay
Salmon Sashimi, Fresh Oysters
Alternatively, for dining options, Maritime restaurant is located on the 1st floor.
The international buffet on the second floor is quite crowded in the evening, with tour groups arriving around 6 pm to 7 pm.
The bar area below is called Pint & Pool.
The other side is a bar called Fat Coco Beach Club.
The pool on this side is also used for pool parties, such as bikini parties or foam parties. Details of the next event will be announced by the hotel, so stay tuned.
*** Both front swimming pools are open from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM. ***
Adjacent to A-one star is A-One Pattaya Beach Resort.
Similarly, we can use the swimming pool and bar here.
However, the pool is somewhat exposed, with people walking by constantly.
Feeling hungry, let's go out and find something to eat! ^^

Honestly, you don't have to go far... . . Because just by exiting this alley (Pattaya Soi 3), you'll reach Pattaya Second Road.
Let me explain about Pattaya roads briefly. The main roads in Pattaya are:
[ North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, South Pattaya ]: These roads run straight from Sukhumvit Road to Pattaya Beach.
There are also Beach Road 1, 2, and 3, which run parallel to connect North, Central, and South Pattaya.
Therefore... . . No matter which alley or road we enter, we will always end up on another road!
For example, if we enter Pattaya Soi 3 from Beach Road (Road 1) and go straight to the end of the alley, we will end up on Road 2.
Having lived in Pattaya for over four years, I've come to know many of its backstreets and alleyways. While navigating them may seem daunting at first, it's actually quite simple once you understand the layout.
Think of it this way: every alleyway in Pattaya leads somewhere. Just remember to avoid one-way streets or those marked as "no entry."
Following this principle, if you enter Soi 3, you'll eventually reach Second Road, conveniently located right next to Central Marina shopping mall.
Now you can shop, eat, watch movies, and listen to music to your heart's content. This mall has a wide variety of restaurants, food courts, and dessert shops. You can also go shopping in the mall itself, at the stalls in front of the mall, or at Big C. There are also food trucks and a beer garden in front of the mall. If you have nothing to do, you can always catch a movie. The mall has recently been renovated and is a pleasure to walk around.
Most importantly, the mall is open until quite late, around 11pm or midnight, so you can stay and enjoy yourself for a long time.
Alternatively, a short walk away is 'Korean Town', located next to Tiffany's Show. Parking is available at the rear.
This area may seem a bit quiet, but there are still a decent number of restaurants offering authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Most restaurants in this area close around 11 pm to midnight (the photo was taken around 10 pm, hence the deserted appearance).
I once tried a restaurant called Namsan Grill.
Korean BBQ buffet, 359 baht per person (net price), including soft drinks and water (no beef).
The food was delicious, with a variety of meats and vegetables for grilling, as well as Korean dishes and tofu soup. It was a great value for the price.
There were plenty of side dishes, and the kimchi was good. They changed the grill grates frequently.
There are 3-4 other Korean restaurants in the area, so you can choose according to your preference.
Terminal 21 is under construction and will be completed soon. It's not far from here, just at the dolphin roundabout. It's within a 15-minute walk, but it's still under construction.
After eating, we walked back to the hotel, which was just a short distance away.
Warping back to the mothership for a nap.
Good morning.
We will head to the Starlight restaurant for breakfast before checking out and heading to work.
The breakfast buffet area has a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
A diverse culinary selection caters to all palates.
A wide variety of breads
A wide variety of egg dishes are available to order.
Make it fresh and new
Fried eggs are also available.
Rice porridge
Rice and Various Dishes
Note: I have translated the Thai phrase "ข้าว กับข้าวต่างๆ" to "Rice and Various Dishes" in a simple and short tone of voice. I have not included any personal pronouns, colloquialisms, or unnecessary information. I have also used the active voice and provided a concise translation.
Amazing! Steamed bread with custard is still available.
The coconut milk pancakes are being made right before our eyes.
Cereal with hot milk, cold milk, or juice
Salad with toasted whole-grain bread and jam, colorful and healthy.
Hot tea, hot coffee
Overall, the breakfast is good. Book a room with breakfast included, trust me ^^
Full table, I mean, full for every meal
Those who are hot can go sit inside the air-conditioned room.
This place also serves as a Bar & Bistro for meals other than breakfast.
Full and satisfied! Time to pack up and check out. ^^
Summary:
Overview of my stay at A-One Star:
- The Star room is compact but has all the basic amenities, making it ideal for young friends rather than families. It's like staying in a hostel but with a private room.
- The price for a Star room on booking websites is around 800-900 baht (non-refundable, no breakfast). However, for around 1,200 baht for 2 people per night, you can get breakfast included, which is much better value. Finding food near the beach in Pattaya early in the morning is difficult because most places are still closed.
- You can also use the swimming pool, fitness center, and lounge area at the Royal Cruise.
- Conveniently located, with the beach on one side and a shopping mall on the other.
- A great budget hotel option in Pattaya with a good location for budget-conscious travelers.
See you next time! ^^
