Readme before you journey
Continuing on to the last day of the trip, we returned late last night, but we still woke up early (8 am is late, right?). We had breakfast.
For breakfast today, I planned to go to a place near the accommodation that we could walk to, the Tiong Bahru area (pronounced "ti-yong-ba-ru," but when spoken quickly, it sounds like "jong-ba-ru").
This area is not very lively and is mainly a residential area.

We have arrived at Tiong Bahru Bakery, a highly popular establishment.
The restaurant was packed, but the wait wasn't long. We got a table in less than 5 minutes. There were two separate counters: one for ordering drinks only and one for ordering both food and drinks.

As the previous customer was making their selection, we quickly scanned the menu to decide what we wanted to order.
There is a wide variety of baked goods, including both savory and sweet options.
The cake looks delicious. I want to eat it all. Mmmm.

The food looked good and tasted delicious, but the bread was a bit chewy, possibly because it was cold. For breakfast, I paid SGD12.62, while my friend bought something separately. The price is comparable to what you would pay at Au Bon Pain in our country.
This friend has a sweet tooth and enjoys a sweet treat early in the morning. I'm a little surprised, but I admire their dedication. (SGD4)
We set out to find the famous street art/art wall, but we had to walk in the hot sun. It was so hot that our skin was burning.
I finally found it! The murals are incredibly disorienting. This wall reflects the way of life of the early Singaporeans. If you're curious about their locations, you can try searching on Google.
I was initially discouraged, but after walking around, I found another one. Yay!
This trip, we took the bus a whopping 1 time. We usually call Uber or Grab, haha.
I was planning to have laksa at Roxy Laksa, but when I arrived... bam!!!
Everything was closed! This place is like a food court in a university, with many shops. But everything was closed because today is Labor Day. I'm so sad. I didn't check before I came. T^T
Taking the MRT to Orchard, I thought I wouldn't be coming to Orchard on this trip, but in the end, I had to come. From Lux, it turned into salad and spaghetti. There's too much local food.
Whenever I visit Singapore, I always make sure to try Curry-O from Old Chang Kee. It's delicious!
For those who have never tried Curry-O, it's similar to a curry puff, but with a Chilly crab filling and egg. The pastry is crispy and delicious, making it easy to overindulge and gain weight.

After finishing our meal, we went for a walk in Hajilane, a bustling area with many tourists, especially Westerners.

Kampong Glam This area has a lot of Turkish restaurants.
After walking for a while, I was drenched in sweat and desperately needed air conditioning. The restaurant on my list was Brother Bird.
Most shops in this area do not have air conditioning. This shop is popular and has air conditioning, so it is no surprise that it is full of people. We had to wait outside before moving inside when a table became available.
The restaurant has a simple, minimalist loft-style decor with exposed concrete walls. There is a staircase leading to the second floor, but I was seated on the ground floor and did not go upstairs.
This restaurant is famous for its soft serve. I ordered the s'mores waffle with chocolate soft serve to share with my friends. I can't remember the exact name of the menu item, but that's the gist of it.

After a satisfying meal, I called an Uber to Henderson Wave. The walk up the stairs was quite a climb, leaving me feeling a bit out of breath.

We asked a passerby to take a picture of us together. Coincidentally, the person was Thai and was also traveling alone. So, we took turns taking pictures of each other. Haha.
After taking photos until they were satisfied, it was 6 pm. They called an Uber back to the hotel, picked up their luggage, and headed to the airport.
While waiting to board the plane, I grabbed a bite to eat (around 9 pm).

Strolling around, I came across Old Chang Kee again. What else could I do but buy some to eat? Haha!
Trip Summary:
