Being an office worker is not bad. Every Saturday and Sunday, my heart swells with joy because I finally get to rest.
Saturdays are not so bad because I know I have another day off on Sunday. It's great! Usually, I plan to go out on Sundays, or I stay home and watch Korean dramas all day. The only time I feel a little down is on Sunday evenings. It's lonely and feels like I'm in limbo. I'm not sure if you've ever felt the same way. But last Sunday, I had a food tasting program, so I was a little excited. I finally have the chance to share my food tasting experience with everyone after a while. I'm talking about Sunday brunch.
This Sunday brunch that I tried is located in the heart of Bangkok at the Scalini restaurant in the Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. I tried it and loved it, so I'm sharing the details and pictures with you. If you've been there or are planning to go, you won't be disappointed. Besides the catchy name Sunday brunch, Scalini goes wild, which subtly suggests that this Sunday brunch includes a lot of outstanding dishes. It's definitely not ordinary. I have many reasons why I like Sunday brunch here, such as:
- Food Scalini has a lot of food to try, both buffet and a la minute main courses from the menu, which you can order as much as you want. The ingredients are of high quality, sourced locally and imported, such as lobster from America, Fines de Claire oysters from France, Atlantic salmon, Alaskan crab, shrimp, blue crab, New Zealand mussels, foie gras, beef, lamb, pork ribs, pasta, pizza, salad, and various desserts.
- Price and discounts The price per person is not expensive, 1,800 net. If you pay with credit cards like SCB, Bangkok, or JCB, you get a 30% discount on both food and drinks. If you book through Eatigo, you also get a discount of up to 50%, or if you are a Hilton Premium Club member, you also get a discount of up to 50%.
- Hilton comes with quality, so you won't be disappointed in the food or service.
- Good location It is located on Soi Emporium or Sukhumvit 24. You can get there by BTS by getting off at Phrom Phong station, taking exit 4, and walking into the soi for only 5 minutes. The Hilton Hotel will be on your left.
- Decoration The decoration of the Scalini restaurant is stylish, decorated in the style of the Prohibition era in New York. It has an Italian-American feel through the overall color scheme. The chalk wall is a picture of the New York skyline, the ceiling is cubic, and the wooden furniture, container cabinets, and lamps are all brought together harmoniously.
- Staff and service Honestly, if I go somewhere and the service is bad, no matter how delicious the food is, I will go there less often or stop going altogether. At Scalini, you can trust both the service team and the chef team. It may be a bit slow when there are a lot of people, but that's okay. I look at how well they are trained and how sincere and willing they are to serve us.
Let's take a look at the food and see how it looks. This is just a small sample of what's available. There's a lot more to choose from, and everything is delicious. I can confirm that!
Welcome to Scalini. Would you like a drink?
The first booth to look out for is the one giving away lobster pizza.
The appearance is good. The seafood pizza with generous lobster meat is delicious.
Bringing the sea to the heart of the city.
Besides lobster, I also love Alaskan king crab with spicy dipping sauce. It's incredibly delicious.
Lobster legs are in high demand, whether they are served on ice, grilled, or smothered in creamy Thermidor cheese. Order as many as you like!
This corner is stylish. Salmon and tuna are used for salad and dipping. You can add whatever you like. It's delicious.
This cheese is huge!
This dish can be ordered from the a la minute main course menu. The lobster risotto is incredibly rich and flavorful.
The foie gras was so delicious and tender that I kept ordering it until I was sick of it. Haha.
When visiting an Italian restaurant, don't miss the pasta. It's freshly made and delicious. Enjoy it while it's hot.
Scalini features an open kitchen, allowing diners to observe the chefs as they prepare their meals.
