Let's move on. Our destination tonight is Aloha Homestay, where we have stayed for three consecutive years every time we visit Chanthaburi. Why? Because of the authentic food, of course! It may sound like we're gluttons, but it's truly delicious. Especially since last year, Aloha added more amusement rides than when we first visited. We loved it even more! Let's see if we'll be as impressed this year.

Jumm arrived at the pier of Aloha Homestay around 2 pm. It was during low tide. We had to take a chubby long-tailed boat to the accommodation, which took about 15 minutes. We enjoyed the atmosphere.

The sight of this mother's smile brought her child more joy than the joy of the trip itself.

We arrived at our accommodation, a mud-free haven. This time, we were treated to a stay in a "squid room," playfully named for its resemblance to our previous year's lodgings. The layout featured a central hall flanked by rooms on either side, as described below.

The addition of two bathrooms on each side is a fantastic improvement, as it will significantly reduce waiting times after swimming.

With our bags and clothes neatly stored, we turned our attention to setting up the karaoke equipment for the evening. This way, if we encountered any difficulties, we could promptly call the staff for assistance.

This time, there are more rides, including a bright red slide that is still under construction. This seems to be an invitation to come back next year.

In the afternoon, Aloha Homestay hosted a red hawk feeding session. We were initially curious about the food, which turned out to be chicken. The chicken was thrown into the water, and the red hawk swooped down to grab it.

After feeding the hawks, we watched the locals play banana boats and donuts for a while before it was our turn. There are no pictures to share because I was in the water having fun. I didn't want to bring a camera for fear of hitting my siblings in the head if I fell into the water and got hurt.

After an exhausting swim, we headed to the familiar restaurant for a long-awaited meal. Let's see if the food lives up to our fond memories.

The first dish served was fried fish cakes.

A plump crab, the star of this meal, looks incredibly delicious. It's a shame that I can't actually taste it.

This was followed by fresh oysters, the star of the meal, which I devoured without a care for my cholesterol levels.

Crispy and piping hot sea bass topped with a savory fish sauce and garlic sauce.

Steamed shrimp with salad, a dish where Jum can only eat the salad again. She sits staring at the shrimp with wide eyes.

Shrimp in fish sauce, everyone says it's so delicious. Oh, I'm so jealous.

The menu actually only has 8 dishes, and 10 people can have 2 sets with unlimited refills. However, this dish was specially arranged by Sister Ah, the manager of the homestay. Sister Ah remembered me and felt sorry for me because I can't eat shrimp or crab. So she arranged two plates of boiled squid for me. This dish cannot be refilled like the other dishes. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Sister Ah for her kindness.

The dessert options include caramelized bananas, pineapple, watermelon, and mangoes with chili and salt.

The ruins of civilization, I'm so full I could burst 55555. Soft drinks are available, but they are slightly more expensive than outside.

Good morning, a new day with a light drizzle, refreshing. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, the dining room is my destination. 55555

The weather was still pleasantly cool, so we decided to take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront to enjoy the scenic views.

The first year we came, we stayed in a two-story building. Last year, we stayed in the green building.

Last year, there seemed to be none.

This time, there are more pork noodle options on the menu, which is great. We don't have to eat only rice porridge with fish anymore. There are both fresh pork and meatballs available.

After finishing their meal, the homestay invited monks from a nearby temple to allow guests to participate in the alms-giving ceremony. It was a truly wonderful experience.

After eating and making merit, we returned to our room. My mother was too lazy to walk, so my younger brother rowed the boat to take us back.

After a short digestion break, it's time for the fun to begin for the kids! Good morning, everyone. The sun is scorching hot today, so I'll be the one capturing the memories. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Aloha has added a new rule for participating in activities this year. Everyone must sign a waiver acknowledging the potential risks associated with using the playground equipment. However, bicycles, boats, and inner tubes are still available for use at your own discretion.

This morning, my niece and I went on a banana boat ride.

Exhilarating and incredibly enjoyable.

The niece fell into the water and couldn't climb out, so she stopped playing. Only two people were left, and they went around twice without getting a bite. Three other customers were waiting to play, so they joined in.

However, our family is not out of energy. We would like to switch from bananas to donuts instead.

New ruthless hand-wringing

The niece asked to test the toughness.

The time to say goodbye to Aloha Homestay has arrived. As we prepared to board the boat, I snuck away to check out the lunch. This year, Aloha offers free lunch, but only on the first day of your stay. On the day of departure, you won't be able to eat it. If I hadn't stopped for Yen Ta Fo on the first day and arrived before 2 pm, I would have been able to eat it too. Here are a few pictures.

After stopping for a roadside papaya salad, we headed to a place that, according to Google, is a must-visit in Chanthaburi. Wow! Does this mean I haven't truly visited Chanthaburi in the past two years?

This significant landmark is the Shrine of King Taksin the Great, a crucial site in Chanthaburi. It serves as a spiritual center for the people of Chanthaburi, embodying their faith and unwavering loyalty to King Taksin the Great. I can't believe I missed this for two years straight.

The court is a 9-sided structure with a pointed roof in the shape of a royal crown, similar to the crown that King Taksin always wore.

The inner sanctum of the court houses a blackened brass statue of King Taksin the Great in a seated position.

When we went to pay respects to King Taksin the Great, we parked our car at the Taksin Camp, 2nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, Marine Division. They allowed us to take pictures, so I took some to share with you. And I would like to end this review with a picture from inside the battalion. Bye!
