Hello again, everyone! Today, I'm taking you on an island adventure. We're heading to Koh Chang, but not the one in Trat province. No, we're going to Koh Chang in Ranong province. Many of you may not know about this hidden gem, but trust me, it's worth the trip. Get ready to explore the island with me in a fun and informative way. Let's dive in!

Our task is to take 20 hundred-baht bills and use them to repair a heart at the sea.

Our journey began at Hua Lamphong Railway Station.

My journey to Ranong began with a train ride to Chumphon.

Then take a 120 baht van to Ranong Bus Terminal.

The train class details are shown in the picture.

The train arrived at Chumphon Station. We then took a motorbike taxi from the left side of the station.

Tell him to take a van to Ranong province. The fare is 30 baht.

The journey by van takes approximately 1.30 hours to reach Ranong Bus Terminal.

Look for a pickup truck with "สะพานปลา" (Fish Market) written on the side and hop on. The fare is 15 baht.

Upon reaching the area near the Saphan Pla fish market pier, look around and you will see...

There were many ticket booths at the pier. I chose to take the speedboat, which cost 350 baht.

The reason I chose this option is because it saves time. It only takes 30 minutes to reach Koh Chang.

There were a significant number of Westerners on board.

After a while of enjoying the birds, trees, sea, and mountains, you will see a Moken boat or a pirate ship.

(At first glance, I was startled, thinking I was going to be robbed. Phew!)

We had to disembark from the speedboat and board this boat, which belonged to our accommodation. Let's hurry and get on board!

We have arrived. Hooray!

The pirate's house will have 10 rooms, some with private bathrooms and some without. Guests staying in rooms without private bathrooms will have access to shared bathroom facilities.

When I went, there were two rooms available, so I could choose whichever one I liked.

It is advisable to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment, as rooms may be limited.

The price of 250 baht is for accommodation only, without meals. Meals can be ordered separately.

The food is good, and the price is reasonable.

The restaurant is open until 9 pm, and various drinks are also available for purchase.

Tents are also available for sleeping.

The sand on the island is black.

The accommodation offers a wide variety of recreational activities, including boating and swimming. Guests are free to enjoy the facilities as they please.

You can go snorkeling or collect shellfish to eat.

As night falls, the bar fills with foreigners from all over the world. As a social butterfly, I couldn't resist striking up conversations with them.

Big Bay

The trip to Koh Chang has come to an end. I will spend one more night here before taking the boat back tomorrow.
Koh Chang in the form of a craftsman's trip may be a bit wannabe, but it's still fun.
For me, it's good up here. The people on the island are very friendly. Some of them may look scary, but they are very nice. I have been able to live on this island and soak up the island life. I have learned a lot from tourists from all over the world and learned languages. It has been a valuable and memorable 3 days and 2 nights.
