Star Chefs Maki Champion is a restaurant owned by Chef Yasuji Morizumi, a Michelin-starred chef who also won the TV Champion competition. The restaurant's main menu features a variety of unique and innovative maki rolls, showcasing Chef Morizumi's signature style.

Star Chefs Maki Champion has two branches: The Nine Rama 9 and Terminal 21. Today, we will try the food at The Nine branch. Let's see how delicious it is.

The first menu item is Salmon Sashimi, fresh salmon that is a must-have every time you visit a Japanese restaurant. Today, I added the restaurant's LINE account and received a 1-for-1 promotion for 250 baht + 17 baht VAT, for a total of 10 thick slices. It's a great deal!

The second dish, Uni Bomb Maki, is a maki roll filled with avocado and topped with sea urchin. This dish costs 380 baht for 4 pieces. To be honest, this was my first time trying sea urchin. I stared at the sea urchin, and it stared back at me as if to say, "Go ahead and try it, don't be shy."

Hey! What are you talking about?!

I'm not sure what the standard taste of sea urchin roe is, as this is my first time trying it. The first bite was unremarkable, but after chewing for a while, my mouth was filled with a distinct ocean flavor and aroma. It's similar to the taste of Japanese seafood rice bowls, but more intense and concentrated in a single bite. My dining companions described it as fishy, and I agree, as I'm not particularly fond of strong fishy flavors. However, I enjoyed the rich ocean taste and aroma that lingered in my mouth, making the fishy taste tolerable. I'm starting to develop a taste for it, but I hope I don't become addicted like I am to salmon, as that would be bad for my wallet and my relationship.

This review was taken with an iPhone 7+. It can achieve a blurred background effect, although it may appear somewhat unnatural. It's a decent option when a dedicated camera is unavailable.

This Wagyu Sushi costs 275 baht, but it's not small. Seeing it reminds me of the legendary air conditioner technician's famous phrase...

The sight of my tablemate's drool was enough to make me feel sorry for them. I divided the dish into three pieces so that everyone could enjoy it. Wagyu beef, a gesture of kindness for my hungry friend. Oh, how unfortunate they are...at this table.

This is Buta Curryaki, a pork curry rice dish. The taste is average, but I like the thin layer of egg underneath. The edges of the egg are slightly crispy, which adds a nice contrast when you wrap it with the rice and pork. This dish costs 220 baht.

Having reached this point, our gang, lacking any restraint, beckoned the staff with small gestures and declared, "Three plates to share, please." In this spirit of mutual support, we savored another dish.

The next dish, Larb Spicy Saimon Maki, is a maki roll with a spicy minced meat filling, topped with salmon and salmon roe, and drizzled with a spicy sauce. Personally, I would not recommend this dish, as the flavors do not blend well, and the rice has a strange, mushy texture, similar to sticky rice. This dish contains 4 pieces and costs 180 baht.

The meal concluded with a Salmon Tataki dish that was quite enjoyable. The sauce, reminiscent of a seafood dipping sauce infused with wasabi, was flavorful. The salmon itself was fresh. This dish, priced at 180 baht, would likely appeal to Thai palates.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and relaxed, with a selection of Japanese pop music playing softly in the background.
