Ploy Palace, a historic hotel in Mukdahan, has undergone a complete renovation, transforming it into a luxurious and opulent establishment reminiscent of a major hotel chain in the capital. The hotel boasts a variety of stylish corners and photogenic spots, perfect for welcoming guests and capturing memorable moments.

The lobby is spacious and impressive.

This corner would be suitable for an engagement ceremony (need to discuss with the hotel). It looks neat and formal, suitable for receiving guests and dignitaries.

The daytime ambiance is simply stunning, resembling a beachside hotel lobby where you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze (although this lobby is air-conditioned... refreshingly cool). The comfortable chairs are perfect for reading a newspaper while waiting for guests or friends.

The crystal chandelier glittered, casting a shimmering light.

This could be a living room in a guest room.

The design is appealing, incorporating both Thai and international elements.

Restroom entrance in the lobby

The walkway to the banquet hall (most people probably take the elevator because the walkway is a bit narrow and quite steep), but overall we think it's beautiful/well-decorated.

The current price (June 2017) for a room is 950++ (for multiple rooms). If you book through a general website, it will probably be 1,100++. Booking directly with the hotel is not much different, it will probably be around 1,200++. If you have a government employee card, you may get a discount of around 100 baht per room. Try calling to inquire.

The standard room is the entry-level option, offering ample space, a bathtub, and all essential amenities.

The headboard is beautifully decorated, simple and elegant, and has a reading light.

Standard double bed, not too soft or hard. Regular pillows, similar to those found in mid-range hotels (not feather or down).

Desk

Minibar and wardrobe as shown.

The spacious room features a wall-mounted TV, maximizing space and avoiding obstructions.

Lake view (city park, suitable for walking/running, with a good distance, about 1 kilometer around the park). Walk out of the hotel and turn right, very close. Ask the staff if you get lost.

The white room is spacious and bright.

The hotel offers a variety of banquet rooms in different sizes. The breakfast is delicious and offers a good variety. There is a swimming pool (not very large) and, importantly, karaoke rooms (shared). The hotel is popular and has many guests. On the 9th floor, there is a restaurant with a piano where guests can request songs. As the hotel is located in the city center, guests can easily walk to the walking street for shopping or dining. The Indochina Market is not far away (a short ride, but also walkable, about 1 kilometer. Those who have walked this distance will know that it is "not far", but those who do not walk often will certainly complain that it is far!). There are many restaurants to choose from in the surrounding area. There is a massage parlor opposite the hotel for those who are tired. For transportation, there are shared taxis (similar to tuk-tuks) in front of the hotel. The fare is determined by the driver, but you can try to negotiate.
