We began our journey on June 20, 1960.

Starting from Don Mueang Airport

The round-trip flight ticket costs around 4,000 baht.

The flight will take approximately two hours.

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, your Thai SIM card signal will be immediately cut off. However, SIM cards with internet access are available for purchase in Luang Prabang. The prices are shown in the picture. You can choose the day and plan that suits your needs.

We offer a three-day package for 250 baht with unlimited internet access. If you need to top up your call credit, you can do so at any convenience store.

Next, we will exchange money. On the first day, we will exchange only 1,000 baht, which will be equivalent to 246,000 kip.

To get to our accommodation, we opted for a taxi-like service that cost 50,000 kip, which is roughly equivalent to 200 Thai baht.

The journey from the airport to our accommodation takes approximately 10 minutes. We opted for a centrally located guesthouse in Luang Prabang, priced at 800 baht per night for a four-person occupancy.

The room is spacious with a concrete bed frame and a comfortable mattress. The bathroom is also adequately sized and well-maintained. Amenities include air conditioning, a wardrobe, a television, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, and a complete set of personal care items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap.

The staff were very friendly, smiling, and extremely approachable. Before checking in, they provided a comprehensive introduction to the tourist attractions in Luang Prabang, similar to a work briefing.

After settling into our room, we took a stroll through the nearby market, which was just a short walk away.

There will be strange and cheap food.

The souvenir zone mainly features silk fabrics and infused liquor.

The end of the line will be the smoothie zone.

In the evening, after shopping, we stopped by to buy some Lao beer to drink a little. I really want to review it. It's a bit sweet and not very fizzy. The level of intoxication, if 10 is full, is 8. It gets you drunk slower than our domestic beer.

And then fell asleep with a Beer Lao 5555

Good morning on the second day. I woke up very early today.

At 4 a.m., witnessing the alms offering ceremony in Luang Prabang is an unforgettable experience. Tourists gather to participate, either by bringing their own offerings or purchasing sets from their hotels.

We purchased a set of saffron robes from the hotel for 40,000 kip (approximately 160 Thai baht). The hotel staff then escorted us to the street where the monks from each temple in the city would pass by.

The women wore sarongs wrapped around their left sides and carried a basket of sticky rice, bananas, and frangipani flowers, which are called "dok champa" in this region. These flowers are also the national flower of the country.

After we finish making merit, we will go for a walk around the area.

After a short walk, you will encounter the morning market, which offers a wide variety of vegetables. Most of the vendors are local villagers who cross the Mekong River by boat to sell their produce in the city.

After strolling through the market, we headed to the banks of the Mekong River for a delicious meal.

The atmosphere is excellent.

Ground floor, Restaurant

As you continue walking, you will encounter an atmosphere of profound tranquility.

Bicycle rental service available for 20,000 kip.

As you walk, you will encounter a temple that no one should miss when visiting this place, the old royal temple of this area, Wat Xieng Thong.

20,000 kip

After walking through the market, you will find many more temples, making it a city steeped in Buddhist civilization, culture, and tradition.

As noon approached, we decided to hire a car and visit one of the most stunning waterfalls in the area.

This is Kuang Si Falls, the entrance fee is 20,000 kip.

Car rental is available right in front of the hotel. The general price is 350,000 kip or 1400 baht, with no additional charges.

Tad means waterfall.

The water is a beautiful color.

And then it was evening.

The next morning, we will visit Tham Ting Cave, a cave that requires a boat ride and a short hike to reach. There, we will seek blessings and admire the natural beauty.

13,000 kip

It was extremely hot, but also very beautiful.

Upon arriving by boat, visitors can ascend to meet various monks, participate in fortune-telling rituals, and explore the renowned Tham Ting cave.

Look a little mysterious.

Upon descending, you will find restaurants nestled within the water, offering a truly exceptional ambiance.

And return to the accommodation with a walk to find delicious desserts in a chic atmosphere by the Mekong River.

This charming coffee shop boasts adorable decor and captivating coffee plants. Prices are comparable to other establishments in the area.

Today, I ordered pentos and a hamburger for a total of approximately 160 Thai baht.

It is a mango pentosome.

In the evening, we continued to eat, making it a day of non-stop eating from afternoon until night.

Dinner will be spaghetti. Let me tell you, it's delicious and very cheap. It's spaghetti made with an original French recipe. The price is 70 baht. It's a very delicious dinner.

Today is our last day to explore Luang Prabang.

We will visit a scenic viewpoint overlooking the panoramic vista of Luang Prabang.

Price: 20,000 kip

The climb up the stairs is quite steep, but the view is truly breathtaking.

The houses here mostly have orange roofs, and the river running through the town is a beautiful sight.

A revered golden pagoda, perched atop a mountain, gleams majestically.

To have the opportunity to pay respects at the sacred That Luang stupa in Luang Prabang is considered a great blessing in life. During my three-night, four-day stay in Luang Prabang, I had a unique and enriching experience. I learned about the local culture, way of life, and the orderliness of the city. This experience taught me that true peace and tranquility can be found amidst cultural and natural beauty, and it has fundamentally changed my perspective on life.

...I will return to Luang Prabang...

See you later.
