Even though it's the season for chasing fog, we, the #TeamSea, couldn't resist the urge to escape to the sea for a bit at D Varee Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.
Why choose this place?

"7 good things that make us like Dee Varee Jomtien Beach Pattaya"
1. Ocean View Room
Guaranteed, if you're someone who loves waking up to ocean views from your bed, you'll be amazed!
The hotel boasts 38 floors, with room categories ranging from Superior to Deluxe, Executive Club, Executive Suite, Family Suite, and Jacuzzi Suite. During our stay, we were accommodated in a Deluxe room on the 25th floor. Let's take a look inside the room...
Upon entering the room, you are greeted by a breathtaking view of the Pattaya seascape. The room boasts stunning panoramic vistas, offering exceptional value for its price. The balcony features comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze.
The room is clean and well-organized. Upon entering, the bathroom is located on the right-hand side, featuring both a bathtub and a shower.
Amenities are complete, including shower gel, shampoo, and lotion. No need to worry.
On the left side, there is a wardrobe and a refrigerator (with 2 bottles of complimentary water). Coffee and tea are available for you to make and enjoy.
Twin bed with a bouncy mattress, perfect for watching TV comfortably.
King-size beds are available upon request during booking.
Minor Drawbacks:
- The air conditioner in our room was occasionally noisy.
- Some of the wooden furniture, such as the wardrobe and interior doors, showed signs of wear and tear.
However, the cleanliness was impeccable, with no musty odors despite the hotel's age.
2. Convenient location without the hustle and bustle.
The D Varee Jomtien Beach Hotel Pattaya is located on Jomtien Beach, Soi 14, approximately 155 kilometers from Bangkok and 2 kilometers from Pattaya City. The beach is peaceful and ideal for relaxation, with a 7-Eleven convenience store conveniently located in front of the hotel.
The hotel lobby features a clean and elegant aesthetic with white, brown, and gold tones.
A pianist plays the piano, creating a mesmerizing and enjoyable melody.
Check-in time is 2:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
3. There are 2 swimming pools.
There are two pools: one on the ground floor and another on the 5th floor. There is no separate children's pool, but there is a shallow and deep zone within the main pool. If you have children with you, they can play in the shallow zone. You can swim laps or just relax and enjoy the water.
Level 1 Swimming Pool features a spacious swimming pool for a refreshing swim or a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi, where the water jets will massage your body and leave you feeling rejuvenated.
5th floor swimming pool with stunning views. Whether you're swimming or sunbathing, you're sure to enjoy yourself. This pool is more private than the one downstairs.
4. Rooftop bar on the 38th floor with an amazing atmosphere.
Breakfast is served on the 38th floor, an exclusive privilege for guests who have booked Executive Club rooms or higher. The views are truly exceptional, as it is rare for hotels to offer breakfast on a rooftop of this size.
Normally, breakfast is served on the first floor for guests who book Superior and Deluxe rooms. However, this time the hotel invited us to review their services, so they allowed us to come up and take pictures.
The breakfast buffet at this hotel offers a decent selection of both Thai and Western dishes. While not particularly extravagant, the menu provides a variety of options to satisfy most palates. Some of the available items include pasta, French toast, stir-fried cabbage, stir-fried pork, white rice, and rice porridge with assorted toppings.
While there is no Egg Station on display, you can still order various egg dishes from the staff. As shown in the picture below, the "Khai Gatha Song Krueng" (egg pan with mixed ingredients) has a delicious and well-balanced flavor. We highly recommend trying it.
This waffle shop offers a unique experience, allowing customers to make their own waffles fresh. The waffles are incredibly soft, fragrant, and delicious. With a variety of toppings and whipped cream to choose from, you can customize your waffle to your liking. Even those who typically avoid waffles will find themselves wanting more after trying these.
A variety of cereals, fruit juices, sushi rolls, kimchi, and a salad bar are also available.
The hotel offers a self-service juice bar with a pulp extractor, perfect for health-conscious guests.
Don't forget to end your meal with a steaming cup of hot coffee. We tried the Mocha and Latte, and we can guarantee that they are delicious.
In the evening, the stylish DIB D Varee Inspiration Bar transforms into a vibrant drinking spot. Enjoy their Happy Hour promotion, where you can buy one drink and get one free, every day from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Unfortunately, the day we visited the hotel, there was a private party group, so we missed the opportunity to sit and enjoy the evening view from the top. We could only take a few photos of the daytime atmosphere. Next time we visit Pattaya, we will definitely not miss it!
5. Enjoy a relaxed seafood dining experience at Dee Beach Pub & Restaurant, featuring live music daily.
Seafood is a must-have when visiting the sea. At Dee Beach Pub & Restaurant, live music bands perform every day, starting around 8 pm. Enjoy the view of Jomtien Beach while dining.
We opted for an a la carte dining experience, starting with appetizers: shrimp in fish sauce and golden-fried shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were exceptionally crispy and free of excess oil, making for a delightful snack.
Shrimp in fish sauce is served in 5 spoons, one shrimp per spoon, with various vegetables as side dishes. The shrimp is fresh and has no fishy smell. It is served with a spicy dipping sauce. The first bite is sure to make your mouth tingle! This dish is perfect for those who enjoy spicy food.
The salmon salad, or "yam salmon," was presented differently than we expected. Instead of long strips of salmon sashimi, the salmon was cut into mini cubes, smaller than dice. This presentation likely encourages diners to enjoy the salmon alongside the various "yam" ingredients. As with other dishes, the spicy dressing was delicious! This restaurant truly excels at preparing "yam" dishes that suit our taste.
Next up is the drunken shrimp spaghetti.
The price of cocktails ranges from 200 to 260 baht per glass, which is considered reasonable for a hotel setting.
We tried a cocktail called Gusto. It contains vodka, pineapple juice, orange juice, grenadine, and lemon juice. The taste is predominantly sour, leaving a refreshing feeling. However, the alcohol content seems a bit weak.
For those who want to indulge in an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet, it is available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The hotel also offers a Japanese buffet at DaRe Restaurant, located at the front of the hotel. The buffet is available daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and costs 299 baht net or 499 baht net for the premium option. The restaurant has fewer than 10 tables. From what I could see, the buffet line includes sushi with salmon, tuna, and various rolls, as well as tempura and soups. (I did not try the food myself.) If you are interested in trying the buffet, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance by calling 038 418 999.

7. Excellent service with great attention to detail. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. On our birthday, the hotel restaurant singer sang Happy Birthday to us, and the hotel surprised us with a huge cake in our room. It was so lovely! ^^
To end this trip, which coincided with my birthday, I had the opportunity to visit and make merit at Wat Phra Yai, which is only 15 minutes away from the hotel.
Here are some photos of the temple... :)
Thank you to everyone who has followed me to this point.
