A Trip to Kanchanaburi
The title of the post claims that 550 baht is enough, which may leave many people wondering how that is possible.
However, if it is here, the islanders' houses are definitely enough (excluding travel expenses to Kanchanaburi).
Baan Chao Koh is a small homestay owned by Uncle Yot, a kind 70-year-old man, located in the heart of Kanchanaburi city.
This package includes:
- Free tour throughout the program
- Welcome drink
- Air-conditioned room with shared bathroom
- Breakfast
- 24-hour coffee and tea
- Karaoke
- WiFi
- Bicycle and motorbike rentals
Uncle Yos's travel program

The number of guests can vary, with some days being busy and others having only your group present. The hosts are very kind. For the price, we believe it is an excellent value and wanted to share this information with you for your future travel plans.
The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

This trip, hello strangers!
As I mentioned earlier, the uncle accepts 3 people or more.
However, we only had two members, me and my friend, so we had to find someone to join us.
Thanks to the "Backpack Travel" group, we were able to meet some lovely members this time.
Including us, there are a total of 5 people.
We are scheduled to meet at the Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal at 10:00 AM.
Upon arrival, call Uncle. He will tell you to wait in front of the 7-Eleven opposite the bus terminal. He will also provide you with the color and license plate number of the van so you can recognize it.
We waited for about 15 minutes before the uncle arrived in an old white van with cool air conditioning.
The driver asked if we wanted to go to our accommodation first or go sightseeing. We told him we wanted to go sightseeing first, and he said he would take us there right away.
002)
Our first stop is the Golden Dragon Cave Temple.
The nun floats on the water.
The first place was impressive, unseen, and adventurous. It was a fun and charitable experience.
003)
A giant rain tree, over a hundred years old, with a circumference of 10 people.
This photo was an attempt to capture a group of 5 people using an iPhone tripod with a remote. The result is a hilarious image, as you can see.
A local vendor is selling **mango, **\*garcinia cambogia\***, and **\*citrus hystrix\* **juice, a type of herbal drink. While some may be unfamiliar with this beverage, it is known for its delicious and refreshing taste. Each bottle costs 10 baht.

Tiger Cave Temple is a temple that houses the largest Buddha statue in Kanchanaburi province.
The beautiful and prominent pagoda can be seen from afar as it sits atop a hill.
The temple also houses a stupa containing relics of the Buddha for devotees to pay their respects.
157 steps with an additional 60-degree incline.
We have trams available for 10 baht per ride.
A spiral staircase leads down to the cave below.
However, the lower cave was closed when we went.
005)
Our uncle took us back into the city for lunch.
Let's have some noodles together.
Check in and settle into your accommodation. Enjoy your free time at your leisure.
The room has books to read, but I forgot to take a picture of it. When I reached the bed, I felt the cool air from the air conditioner and immediately lay down.
After a while, my uncle's girlfriend brought us a refreshing herbal drink.
Let's take a break and wait for the sun to go down a bit. Then we'll head out and explore Kanchanaburi City.
(006)
In the late afternoon, when the sun was less intense and the wind had calmed down, we decided to continue our exploration. This time, we ventured out on our own, as the remaining attractions were located within the city center. However, we were short on bicycles, so our aunt generously lent us a motorbike instead. With a sense of exhilaration, we set off on our two-wheeled adventure. We made a stop at the renowned Sitthi Sang Coffee Shop, where we enjoyed a refreshing cup of coffee. Additionally, for those interested in sending postcards, this establishment serves as a convenient drop-off point.
City Gate

Continuing with the sandy shores of Chuk Don, the delicious papaya salad, the clay pots, the rowing boats, the still water, the brackish water beach of Thailand... Chuk Don.
008)
The Allied War Cemetery at Don Rak.
We enjoyed our visit here, even though it was just a quick stop for photos. We felt a range of emotions: peace, sadness, sacrifice, and longing.
009)
The Bridge over the River Kwai is a must-see attraction. Don't miss it or you'll regret it.
Thank you for this shot. The train happened to pass by at the right moment.
Thank you to these four people for helping to make our trip complete.
010)
Lost in the joy of taking photos, we returned from the bridge when it was already late in the evening. We continued to the Tor Rung market to find something to eat. There were many things for sale, but only food. If you're looking for clothes, you'll have to go to JJ Market. There's a ton there.
We ended up having a delicious hotpot dinner.
After finishing the meal, I returned home to rest. I got a little lost because it was late and I wasn't familiar with the way.
No worries, Google Maps will help. I always get lost when I visit, but it's fun to explore.
If you are worried about getting lost, feel free to call Uncle for directions.
011)
Day 2
Slept soundly, although the air conditioning was a bit cold. I remember waking up around 5:00 AM. The morning air was fantastic.
Sitting on the balcony, I could hear clanging sounds coming from the kitchen. I suspect the aunt was preparing breakfast for us.
After a while, the aunt called out to us to come down for breakfast. There was rice porridge, youtiao, roti, and fruit. A full spread for breakfast!
Eating rice porridge while chatting with my uncle and discussing where to go next.
We were originally going to part ways this morning, with my friends heading to Sangkhlaburi and the other friend wanting to visit Erawan Waterfall.
We decided to rent the uncle's car to Erawan Waterfall first, so that in the afternoon we could return to catch the bus to Sangkhla in time.
The price has been agreed upon. Pack your bags and say goodbye to the island home.
The dining table in the central hall also doubles as an impromptu conference table. Haha!
Walk around the house before leaving.
Let's hop on a ride and head straight to Erawan Waterfall! 🚗 🏞️
012)
On the way to Erawan Waterfall, my uncle stopped to take pictures of us at various locations, including Wat Pa Lelaiyk.
Nine Armies Historical Park
The road winds up the mountain, with lush trees providing ample shade on either side.
Our uncle drove us around while narrating the history of each location.
As we drove past Khao Chon Kai, my uncle recounted that even on Buddhist holy days, the sound of people fighting cocks could still be heard.
The sound of people cheering on fighting cocks is a bit creepy. 55555
The uncle is recounting the history of this place, starting from the time when the Burmese army invaded Siam.
This vantage point offers a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view.
013)
We took some photos, listened to the stories of the uncle, and took a nap. Finally, we arrived at our destination.
Erawan National Park
We arrived at around eight in the morning. The entrance fee for the park is 50% off on weekdays.
From 100 baht, it is now 50 baht per person.
Upon our arrival, we were the only ones present. During our ascent, we encountered no other groups.
The weather is pleasant, not too hot. Let's hurry up and conquer the 7th floor!
The climb was incredibly challenging, but the reward was well worth it. The stunning turquoise water was truly breathtaking.
Crystal-clear, refreshingly cool water, with visible fish, and even a free fish spa! Haha!
Upon reaching the top, we were greeted by a private waterfall cascading down the entire level, creating an exclusive and breathtaking experience.
After soaking comfortably for about half an hour, we turned around and saw this!

This is a single period, which can have various meanings depending on context. It could be used to:
- Mark the end of a sentence.
- Separate items in a list.
- Indicate a pause or hesitation.
- Represent an ellipsis, leaving something unsaid.
Without further context, it's impossible to determine the specific meaning of the period in this case.
.
.
Overwhelmed by the sheer number of people and the abundance of food and drinks, we decided to give up on the waterfall and head back down to shower and change clothes.
The uncle said he would take us for a train ride before we part ways.
014)
Before deciding to visit Erawan Waterfall, we planned to take the Thon Buri-Nam Tok train and then find another way to get to Sangkhlaburi. We wanted to pass by the Tham Krasae station, but when we changed our route to the waterfall, we thought we would miss it. However, we were wrong. As soon as we mentioned it to the uncle, he immediately called to check which station the train was at and then took us to wait for it.
Let's wait for the train at Ko Mahamongkol Station.
The train is here! Please hurry and board.
The breathtaking views along the way left me completely captivated.
Captivated by the locals, enamored by the islanders' homes, and
Captivated by Kanchanaburi
Our uncle picked us up at Tha Kilen Station and then took us to the bus terminal.
They said goodbye to their uncle with a smile and then parted ways.
The other two sisters decided to return home first, leaving the three of us to buy tickets for a van to Sangkhla Buri.
See you later at Sangkhla Buri (I'm currently working on a blog post, and I'll share it with you when it's finished).
