The accommodation was conveniently located near Hat Yai Railway Station. We walked over to inquire about the train schedule for our trip to Phatthalung the next day. There was a local train service available free of charge. The journey from Hat Yai to Phatthalung took two hours.

We met our friends at Hat Yai Railway Station, who were returning to Bangkok today on the new Thaksin Express train. We have never tried it before, but it looks comfortable enough to sleep in.

After checking the train schedule, we took a walk to admire the Sino-Portuguese architecture on Nippat Uthit 1 Road.

Stroll along the walking street in front of Lee Gardens Plaza shopping center and enjoy street food along the way.

On the second morning, we traveled to Hat Yai Railway Station to continue our journey to Phatthalung. At the station, there was a stall selling iced chengkuang (a type of Chinese herbal jelly) with various toppings for 25 baht per cup. I didn't manage to take a picture when the cup was full, and by the time I remembered, it was already half-empty. I don't know what the toppings were, but it was something I had never tried before. It was surprisingly delicious!

The train journey from Hat Yai to Phatthalung takes approximately 2 hours, offering scenic views along the way.

Upon arriving in Phatthalung, be sure to try the famous Guay Teow Yai Vi. This popular eatery often sells out quickly after 2 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

We recommend the spicy seafood tom yum yen ta fo noodles with crispy shrimp, which is delicious.

The friendly owner picked fresh mangosteens straight from the tree to make a delicious mangosteen salad for us to try.

Thank you, Mr. Headman. The fresh mangosteen is really delicious.

I stayed at the Siva Royal Hotel in Phatthalung tonight. It is a newly opened hotel and appears to be clean.

For more information, please visit www.sivaroyalhotel.com.

We stayed in a deluxe room without breakfast for 990 baht. The balcony offered a panoramic view of the vast grasslands and the cityscape of Phatthalung.

Accompanied by our friendly Phatthalung hosts, we embarked on a scenic drive, visiting the enchanting Kwanjai Bamboo Garden and the serene Saengsuk Bamboo Forest.

Thank you to our city guides for taking the city girls on a tour.

The Pa Phai Market, which is open only on Saturdays, offers a variety of local foods, regional sweets, and handmade goods at affordable prices.

A young child dressed in a Nora dance costume welcomed me as I entered, so I asked for a souvenir photo.

Listening to children play music along the way, we found this market to be incredibly charming and unique.

A stylish bathroom made of bamboo.

We stopped by to try the traditional banana fritters, 3 sticks for 20 baht. The kind auntie even gave us an extra one!

Strolling along, I snacked on these delicious 20-baht rice flour pancakes made with fresh sago palm starch. They were truly delightful!

Next, enjoy a scoop of ice cream served in a coconut shell for 30 baht. Remember to return the shell after you're done.

The market offers souvenirs, and we chose to record our stories on postcards.

The postcard costs 20 baht per card. The kind shop owner charged us 60 baht for 4 postcards.

Before reaching Talay Noi, be sure to stop by Auntie Kee's dessert shop.

Roasted soybeans and desserts are a perfect match.

After a satisfying meal, they continued their journey...

Come and enjoy the view of Talay Noi on the 80th Birthday Anniversary Bridge, the longest bridge in Thailand.

Thank you to Mr. Win and Mr. Awn, residents of Phatthalung, for their warm hospitality.

Scenic viewpoints are available along the route for parking and enjoying the view.

Visit the water buffalo at Talay Noi.

Next to the bridge, there is a staircase for walking down.

Descend to take a picture below... Thank you to the photographer for climbing down with me.

Enjoy the view before returning to your accommodation.

Postcard ready...stamp ready, prepare to embark on a journey to tell the story of the journey.

On the third morning, join the cycling event and write postcards with the children at Baan Natorm.

Spin 3 good ways to happiness

We witnessed the traditional way of life of the villagers, including watching an elderly woman skillfully sew a torn piece of cloth.

To visit Wat Nong Prang, a temple with a hundred large rubber trees that the temple has preserved.

The atmosphere is very lush.

Enjoy the view of the suspension bridge at Ban Na Toem.

Taking a break at Mallika Coffee Shop before saying goodbye to Phatthalung.

The group took a photo with the friendly locals of Lung before heading back to Hat Yai.

The Mallika shop gave me a free sugar palm cake. I wonder if there is a promotion where you get a free dessert with every five drinks you order.

We blended unripe mango with chili and salt. It was incredibly spicy!

Embarking on a journey back to Hat Yai via complimentary train service. Expressing gratitude to my companions for seeing me off.

The train has arrived…departing to continue the journey.

The final night was spent at The Aree Hat Yai Hostel, costing 250 baht per night with a 100 baht key deposit.

After collecting our belongings from the accommodation, we continued our journey.

Pick up your motorbike rental at the train station. The rental fee is 300 baht per day, and the pick-up and drop-off fee is 100 baht, for a total of 400 baht. (We will pick up the motorbike at the train station and drop it off at the airport.)

Red Honda Click 125 motorcycle with a full-face helmet to prevent wind from entering the eyes while driving.

Ride a motorbike from Hat Yai city center to eat steak at Thanang Hom. Use Google Maps for navigation.

We arrived at Nang Hom within half an hour.

Large chicken steak for under a hundred baht.

I rushed to a small bookstore in Songkhla on my motorbike, arriving just before closing time.

The interior of the shop is filled with "The Little Prince" motifs.

Received a book and postcard as a souvenir.

Warmly welcomed by the locals during my visit to Songkhla. Thank you, P'Palm and P'Ek.

On my last night at The Aree Hat Yai Hostel, I was warmly welcomed by a Malaysian staff member.

We parked our rented motorbike at the accommodation and were able to leave our luggage there before heading out.

Breakfast at the accommodation includes bread and coffee.

Last morning... sipping tea in the middle of the field

Two bowls of rice porridge and two cups of coffee for forty baht is very cheap. The shop is located opposite Wat Khu Tao.

After eating, we visited the wooden bridge at Wat Khu Tao.

The path to the lotus pond is located opposite the tea shop in the middle of the field.

The way to Laem Pho.

Drive through the community.

Enjoy the scenery along the way.

With gratitude to our guide, Mr. Ek, for leading us on a scenic tour, starting from Khlong Ha, through Khoo Tao, to Laem Pho, and finally to Bang Nond.

And we stopped at Tha Nang Hom to write postcards before heading back to the capital.

Send a postcard to the post office…you will definitely get a Hat Yai stamp.
