Where to go... If you want to stay overnight with a good view...

Where to go... If you want peace in the middle of the water
Where to go... If you want to chill by the water, amidst the mountains and private peace...

Kanchanaburi is undoubtedly the top choice, and it has never disappointed us on our visits.

Many people would think of sleeping on a raft by the River Kwai...jumping into the water, sitting and chilling on a raft in the cool evening.

That's right, at first glance, we thought of the raft on the Kwai River, but hey... we went there at the end of last year. This review is about Slow Life by the River in Kanchanaburi.

This time, we decided to visit Kanchanaburi again, but instead of the riverside area we had been to before, we opted for a relaxing getaway in a different world of tranquility amidst stunning views and Balinese-style accommodation above the Srinakarin Dam.

The journey from Bangkok takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Traveling during the rainy season, I was a little worried about what it would be like. Would it be beautiful? Would I be able to play in the water? But believe it or not, the rain made everything perfect. Imagine lying on a raft, looking out at the beautiful water, with mountains in the background, and the rain falling softly. The air is cool and comfortable. It's so relaxing. (If you go with your partner, you can cuddle up, watch the view, and listen to some soft music. It's the perfect romantic getaway.)

📌 Our accommodation, Raya Buri Resort, "a luxurious resort with an indescribable atmosphere above the Srinakarin Dam."

The experience is so heartwarming that words cannot fully describe it. You must experience it for yourself. :)

📌What can we do then... ?????

- The resort is located approximately 20 km beyond Erawan Waterfall. (It is recommended to leave early in the morning and visit the waterfall first. It is truly beautiful. If you have never been there, you must visit at least once! You will not be disappointed.)

- Upon arrival, take a break, sit, lie down, soak your feet in the water, relax and unwind. Then, around 5 pm, go for a raft ride (not a wet raft). This is a highlight, a leisurely raft ride with scenic views. If it doesn't rain, you'll see the sunset. It's like going out to chill (takes about 2 hours).
- Come back and have dinner at the resort. No need to go far. The view is amazing, romantic with orange lights, the dam view, and delicious food. Overall, it's great... It's especially good to go with your partner (tag your partner now! If not, nudge a friend first ;p
- At night, open the door and sit outside to stargaze.
- Wake up in the morning and go kayaking. If you don't know how to kayak, you can paddle a duck boat first. The atmosphere is great.
That's basically it... Just seeing the view is enough to melt your heart. Everywhere you look is beautiful. If you're lucky, you'll wake up to a light mist, maybe because of the rain... The rainy season is another great time to visit. You can bring a group to jump in the water, bring your family for a relaxing getaway, or come for a romantic escape with your partner. I can assure you that this place will not disappoint you.

This location offers a unique feature: a dedicated elevator for transporting luggage and escorting customers down to the raft, eliminating the need to navigate stairs. Isn't that ingenious?

In the evening, there is a package to take a raft to watch the sunset. The raft departs around 4:30 PM and returns around 6:00 PM. The atmosphere is very good. It is very suitable for you. I really want you to try it. 5555+

Let's have dinner later. The food here is delicious and very spicy. We ate until we were full. >,<

After dinner, we rested. The night we went was a bit cloudy, so we couldn't take any pictures of the stars. It was a bit of a shame, but we got to sleep early and exercise the next day. We rode pedal boats and kayaks, it was a great workout!

Erawan Waterfall is located approximately 20 kilometers from the resort. Don't miss the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of #Nakee while visiting Kanchanaburi.

The hiking trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and is divided into 7 levels. There is a large population of stone catfish that frequently approach and interact with tourists. However, due to a lack of water during the ascent, the group only reached the 5th level before being forced to turn back due to extreme thirst. As a result, the available photos only cover levels 1-5. Despite this, the scenery remains beautiful.

For those who cannot drive, there are buses available from Kanchanaburi to Erawan National Park. The bus schedule and fares are available online.

Let's go see the waterfall.

The highest floor I reached was the 5th floor. Next time, I will try to reach the 7th floor.
