Hello.

After much anticipation, I finally had the opportunity to visit Goju Sushi, a Japanese restaurant located on the 4th floor of Siam Center. The restaurant boasts a modern and minimalist Japanese aesthetic, with seating arrangements designed to provide a sense of privacy. This review focuses on the restaurant's buffet options, which range in price from 399++, 599++, and the top-tier Super Premium Buffet priced at 1199++ Baht. Let's embark on a culinary journey together.

The top-tier buffet includes a "Special Set" for each person, consisting of 5 pieces of sushi (foie gras, sea urchin, otoro, chutoro, and akami). The generous portions and thick cuts are sure to satisfy, with a perfect balance of rice and toppings. The large pieces provide a full-bodied experience, allowing you to savor the flavors to the fullest. The lightly seasoned rice complements the rich ingredients and textures, making this a highly recommended option.

Following your initial order, you may order unlimited additional items from the Super Premium Buffet menu.

'Sashimi' The main target for Ronaldo in this buffet is Akagai - Japanese ark shell, which has a unique aroma and a very sweet and chewy texture. Ronaldo ordered a mixed platter from the restaurant, but we can order separately and choose only what we want without any restrictions. All the ingredients are fresh and clean, the size of the pieces looks good and there is nothing to complain about. Recommended.

'Sushi'
There are 10 pages in total, with generous portions of thick-cut ingredients that look good, including hamachi, scallops, Japanese clams, ark shells, flying fish roe, salmon roe, seared scallops, and engawa with ponzu sauce. However, there are a few comments: Sweet shrimp: the amount of shrimp meat is a bit small, adding 2-3 more pieces would be great. And Matsusaka roll: the meat is tender, but the sauce is too strong and overpowers the flavor of the meat.

"Salad Goju"
This is a mixed raw fish dish with generous portion sizes. The fish is accompanied by fresh, crisp salad greens and surrounded by seaweed. The salad is dressed with a familiar Japanese-style dressing that is sweet, sour, savory, and salty with a fragrant aroma. Recommended.

"Cold seaweed salad"
This refers to a seaweed salad served with a refreshing, crunchy texture. The seaweed is neither dry nor soggy, and the dressing is well-balanced and flavorful, meeting high standards.

'Hamachi / Salmon Slide with Ponzu Sauce'
Thickly sliced hamachi and salmon, not too thin to break apart. The ponzu sauce has a good flavor, meeting the expected standard.

'Sweet Wasabi Shrimp'
The shrimp were a bit small, but the all-you-can-eat option made up for it. The sauce was rich and tangy, but the wasabi flavor was not prominent. Overall, a good standard.

Hokkaido Scallops, Toban-style
Large, impressive scallops, grilled to perfection with a fragrant aroma. The flesh is sweet and juicy, complemented by a rich, savory sauce that is not overpowering. Highly recommended.

Iron Chef Menu: Spicy Lava Cheese Roll
This sushi roll is a flavor explosion, featuring a generous portion of both eel and salmon. The roll is generously drizzled with a rich, sweet, and savory cheese sauce, finished with a spicy kick that will leave you wanting more. Highly recommended.

Foie Gras / Eel / Salmon Roe Rice
The eel is of good quality, the fish roe is sweet and not salty, and the foie gras is not too thin. It is cooked until it is cooked but not dry. The sauce is fragrant and slightly salty. It is recommended to eat everything in one bite to get a variety of flavors and textures. It feels very good. Recommended.

'Akagai - Japanese ark shell'
The main target of this meal was ordered many times. The size, freshness, texture, and quality were consistently good throughout the meal. Recommended.

The price does not include drinks. If you order green tea, hot or cold, it will be refillable for approximately 50 baht, if I remember correctly.

The atmosphere is simple and comfortable, with excellent service. The ingredients in the Goju Sushi Super Premium Buffet promotion are fresh, clean, and of high quality, with generous portion sizes. The overall flavor is well-balanced and delicious, making for a satisfying dining experience. Personally, I found the value for money to be exceptional, exceeding my expectations. For those considering trying it, I recommend checking the menu for the top-tier promotion to see if it includes your favorite dishes. In my experience, most of the dishes were enjoyable, but my personal highlights were the special set, Japanese clams, Hokkaido scallops, grilled Toban, and rice bowls with foie gras, eel, or salmon roe. Focusing on these dishes alone would make the experience worthwhile.

Thank you very much.
Ronaldo
