Take the train to... Wanakorn Beach

This trip was born from a desire to change my sleeping environment, to lie down and listen to the sound of the wind and waves, after a long absence from the sea. Although it was a short trip of only 2 days and 1 night, it was another good relaxing trip. Plus, the train journey made it even more enjoyable. Even without a private car, you can still go. If you have a small budget but want to visit a beach with beautiful sand and clear water, come here.

While waiting for the ticket booth to open, we decided to grab a bite to eat near the station. The area not only boasts a variety of restaurants but also a fresh market.

This sign ensures you won't miss your train: "Thon Buri - Lang Suan".

The free train has arrived. Passengers are rushing to secure seats. However, due to the long holiday weekend, some passengers will have to stand until their final destination.

After a while, the food started to tempt us.

Auntie Jim's dry noodles, priced at 10 baht per pack. I ordered 4 packs, which were delicious and filling.

After a satisfying meal, a nap ensues, followed by awakening to the scenic views of nature along the way.

After a nearly 7-hour journey, we arrived at Huai Yang Station.

At Huai Yang Station, there is a train schedule posted. We collected the data for use on our return trip.

We planned to continue our journey on foot to Wanakon Beach, so we inquired about the route to be sure. The officer at Huai Yang Station provided excellent information. Thank you very much.

Despite the abundance of information available, we ultimately opted for a hired car parked near the train station. The driver, a friendly older gentleman, agreed to take us to Wana Korn Beach for 80 baht. (Motorbike taxis were also readily available in the vicinity.)

It is recommended to ask for their phone number in case you need to contact them for pick-up on the return date.

Pitching a tent by the sea, surrounded by pine trees, the atmosphere is fantastic.

We chose to pitch our tent on the beach.

This area offers shops and restaurants, but for those seeking a change of pace, a small beachfront camping experience is available. The park provides barbecue grills for rent at a cost of 100 baht.

Our dinner consists of steamed rice and grilled meatballs.

Watch the sunset in the evening

I slept very soundly and woke up to the sight of the sea right in front of me.
