Many people go to the sea because they are tired of life. Many people go to the sea because they are tired of love. Many people go to the sea because they are tired of work. Many people go to the sea because they are tired of studying. But I believe that everyone who goes has one thing in common: they throw their boredom into the sea. My trip this time is no different.
**Let me say in advance that this post is a remake of my old post. #Trang#TravelTrang

Phraya Ratsada's city, generous people, delicious grilled pork, the birthplace of rubber trees.
Magnificent Trang flowers, coral reefs under the sea, charming beautiful sandy beaches, magnificent waterfalls.
Trang's motto, Trang is a southern province of Thailand, bordering the Andaman Sea, the Indian Ocean, the west coast. It is a province with beautiful, peaceful, and uncrowded beaches. It is ideal for relaxation. And this is where I will throw away my boredom.

For my travels, I prioritize cost-effectiveness. I explore every money-saving avenue, even booking flights during cross-year promotions and taking free train rides to Bangkok to catch flights at Don Mueang Airport. I firmly believe that regardless of the travel method, having enough money to enjoy the trip is paramount. Saving wherever possible is always a good idea.

On November 3rd, 2023, I took a free train to Bangkok. This time, I wasn't as unlucky as the train didn't stop to refuel as often as it did on my trip to Koh Tao. However, I arrived in Bangkok a little early. Upon arrival, I continued sightseeing, riding the train like a country bumpkin entering the city, carrying all my belongings with me.

Our flight was in the afternoon, so we spent a considerable amount of time at the airport. Due to a booking error on my part, we lost a bit of time, but I tried to console myself by thinking of it as an opportunity to explore Bangkok. Our flight was divided into two groups: the women's group at 13:30 and the men's group at 17:30. Since our group consisted of both men and women, we decided to let the women go first. Chivalry, right? Just kidding!

The man continued to sleep at the airport.

It was time to take flight.

The journey took almost two hours. Upon arrival at the airport, the hostel owner picked us up. We stayed at a hostel called Nighthawk House in the city center of Trang. The reason we chose this hostel was because it was affordable and comfortable. Two nights cost 380 baht per person. As I mentioned before, this trip was all about saving money. Haha! After checking in, we went out to find food. Luckily, our hostel was close to the market, which the locals call "Khon Deen." I always believe that traveling to different places often leads to new friendships. This time was no different. While we were sitting under the hotel, enjoying our beers, a foreign woman named Huda from Holland came and asked to join us. The six of us used our level 1 English to talk to Huda. Whether Huda understood us or not didn't matter, as long as we understood her. Haha! From our conversation, we learned that Huda's name is Huda, she is 23 years old, and she has been in Thailand for 3 weeks, but only traveled in the south. Huda has been backpacking alone for a whole year. She said she came alone, but not lonely. Wow, that's amazing! What surprised us even more was that Huda finished her bachelor's degree at the age of 19. So, we all raised our glasses to celebrate Huda. Cheers!

For this trip, we didn't focus on visiting many places, but rather on savoring the atmosphere for an extended period. Therefore, we agreed that renting a car would be the best option for transportation (the car rental fee is 1200 baht per day). If you ask if anyone knows the way, I can only say that we will have to rely on our dear Siri for this trip.

Missing out on dim sum at Ruengthai is a big mistake. This restaurant is renowned throughout Trang province. A friend of mine was so excited, it was as if the restaurant was giving away free food. He woke his friends up at four in the morning, or rather, very early in the morning. But the meal was worth it, as the dim sum was delicious. As for the price, I'm not sure how to answer that, because when we ordered, we didn't think twice. Before we knew it, the table was full.

Each menu item looks so delicious, who could resist?

The food arrived, and we dug in.

The restaurant is as popular as its reputation suggests.

After a satisfying meal, we continued our journey towards Pak Meng Pier. However, we first needed to find a gas station. This presented our first challenge. While the locals seemed to understand our questions, their rapid speech made it difficult to comprehend their responses. We resorted to using Siri, our trusty virtual assistant, who led us on a scenic detour through a rubber plantation. Siri claimed it was the birthplace of rubber in Thailand, but we suspected it was just a way of saying we were lost. At this point, we were tempted to delete Siri from our phones. To make matters worse, we had no idea where we were in Trang Province. Oh well, since we were already lost, we decided to take some photos and enjoy the scenery.

After driving around for a while, we found a gas station. The second problem arose with our leader, Tan, who is the most trustworthy person to look at the number of liters as the price. He ordered a full tank for 680 baht, which would have been enough to drive back and forth between Krabi and Trang eight times... Fortunately, this trip was a relaxed one with easygoing people, so there was no fuss or tension.

After filling up the gas tank, we continued driving until we reached Pak Meng Pier. Initially, we planned to take a large passenger boat, but the next available trip was fully booked (this is a classic example of my impulsive nature, always forgetting to plan ahead). After much deliberation, we decided to charter a boat for 3,000 baht. The boatman agreed to take us to two islands. This wasn't a problem for us, as we chose Koh Kradan, the farthest island, and Koh Muk, the "star" island, known for its Emerald Cave. From what I've seen in reviews, the water color is absolutely stunning.

My brother is good at acting cool.

Your uncle's boat is a long-tailed boat. It's very friendly and exciting as always. After putting on the life jackets, we took turns taking pictures, forgetting the hot sun. The blue sky and the silver sea, this is the South Sea.

The atmosphere as the ship sailed through.

With that, we set off for Koh Muk.

Upon reaching Koh Muk, home to the Emerald Cave, we embarked on an 80-meter swim into the cave, covering a total distance of 160 meters. The strong currents, comparable to walking 3 kilometers on land, posed a significant challenge. Additionally, I was tasked with assisting three non-swimmers, further increasing the difficulty of the journey.

We reached the mouth of the cave. Our group made up 25% of the island's population. The sand was incredibly soft and beautiful. Unfortunately, we couldn't bring our cameras inside because we didn't have waterproof cases. This is the entrance to the cave.

Exhausted from our adventures on Koh Muk, we boarded the boat in silence, resembling weary warriors returning from battle.

We then took a boat to Koh Kradan, which is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful island. Upon arrival, we found a spot on the beach to relax and enjoy a meal.

With renewed energy, we embarked on our primary activity: photography. Get ready for a barrage of stunning images!

Time flies when you're having fun. In the blink of an eye, almost three hours had passed, and it was time to take the boat back to shore. Just then, a storm rolled in. Luckily, it was heading towards Phatthalung, which was in the opposite direction from where we were going. The sky was so dark that it was a little scary. I thought to myself, "I almost had to spend the night on the island!"

As the boat journeyed back, each passenger retreated into their own corner, some listening to music and enjoying the scenery, others watching music videos, sharing photos, or simply napping. The atmosphere was diverse, reflecting the individual preferences of each traveler.

As the sun began to set, we arrived at the picturesque Pak Meng Pier. The stunning scenery confirmed our decision to rent a car, allowing us the freedom to explore at our own pace.

We decided to find a spot to sit by the sea and watch the sunset. We bought a few drinks, some fried chicken, and papaya salad (since we couldn't think of anything else to eat). The sunset was beautiful, and we took turns taking photos and soaking up the atmosphere until it got dark. Then, we got back in the car and headed back to our accommodation.

After everyone finished showering, they gathered in the hotel's lounge area as usual. The friends chatted, shared photos from their cameras, and helped each other decide which photos to upload first. This trip had generated tens of thousands of photos! From the time they were in Bangkok, through Hua Lamphong, taking the BTS at Don Mueang, and so on, until now, their phone memories were full because they had downloaded photos from their cameras. It was fortunate or unfortunate that this trip was a gathering of camera enthusiasts, both men and women. When taking photos for a long time or in multiple shots, no one complained, and no one stopped them from laughing.

The morning began with the cheerful sound of Hamtaro's theme song. At first, I was startled, thinking it was the hotel owner's child playing it. But it turned out to be my friend. The group of girls had returned early in the morning, while we were scheduled to return in the afternoon. They tried to wake us up with the music, but to no avail. We were able to continue sleeping, oblivious to when they left. Since we were returning in the afternoon, we had plenty of time to explore the city of Trang. We didn't have a specific destination in mind, just a desire to wander. It is said that when visiting an old city, one should not miss the iced coffee or chrysanthemum tea. I didn't hesitate to indulge in this local tradition. During my stay in Trang, I consumed three or four glasses of iced coffee. The shop was located near the police station, and the coffee was delicious. The owner, an aunt, was very friendly.

This is another unique characteristic of Trang Province that, upon seeing the image, one would immediately recognize it as Trang.

Continuing on, we searched for transportation to the airport. Unsure of the location of the transport station, we stopped at a shop called S. Taveetruechai to ask for directions. The owner was incredibly kind and called a car for us right then and there. We were so grateful at that moment. I want to express my sincere gratitude once again. The people of Trang are truly kind-hearted. This is the real Thailand.

The "frog-head car" is a common sight in Trang province. In my hometown, it would be a three-wheeled motorcycle.

Upon arriving at Trang Airport, I enjoyed a cup of coffee while waiting for my flight. As the time approached, I bid farewell to Trang, Thailand.

After nearly two hours, we arrived in Bangkok. It was time to part ways. I had to catch a flight to Udon Thani, while my two friends drove back to Khon Kaen. Everyone on the trip returned to their reality, going back to school, work, and their daily routines. I also went back to work and my normal life. Of course, nothing has changed in my environment, but what has changed is my mindset. I feel like my world expands every time I travel. It's like coming back with a different perspective and attitude. For me, exploring new places is like giving myself a gift. Some people might think it's pointless and wasteful, but I believe that we should make the most of our lives on this earth. Do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't harm others. This concludes my review of this trip.

Thank you for reading every line of mine.

Thank you to my five fellow travelers.

Thank you for all the feedback.

Thank you for looking at my pictures. Thank you.
