Ayutthaya, our ancient city, where memories linger and stories unfold.

The journey begins with a free train departing from Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong) at 9:25 AM and arriving at 11:27 AM, with a slight delay.

We talked for almost two hours, and it felt like no time at all.

Walk straight from the train station first, you will find the pier. Pay 5 baht per person to cross the river.

Each trip is round-trip, depending on the number of passengers. There are many people on the way to the other side, but not many people on the way back. I asked the aunt who was driving the boat to take a picture.

A short 3-minute ferry ride will take you there!

Upon reaching the pier, you will find a bicycle rental shop. Rent a bike from the first shop you see. When you return the bike, you can board the boat directly.

Bicycle rentals are available for 50 baht per day. You will need to leave your ID card as a deposit, but no additional security deposit is required. The owner is friendly and speaks politely.

The first temple is located at the end of the alley, just across the bridge. You can easily cycle there as it is not far.

Maha That Temple

Each temple charges an entrance fee of 10 baht for Thai citizens.

After leaving Wat Mahathat, you will find Wat Ratchaburana right next to it.

Exiting Wat Ratchaburana, cycle into the alleyway where you will encounter Wat Mongkolbopit, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Phra Ram, Pang Chang, and Khun Phaen's residence.

Wat Phra Ram

After visiting Wat Phra Ram, we took the 4:37 PM train back to Hua Lamphong, arriving at 6:40 PM.

Don't forget to buy Ayutthaya silk as a souvenir when you visit Ayutthaya. However, we didn't buy any; my friend did. 555555
