Macau is a small island packed with delicious food.

This review focuses on tasting Macau's famous dishes, with the travel plan designed specifically to follow a culinary trail.

We believe in having fun and eating well. If you have the opportunity to visit Macau, be sure to check out the local cuisine.

Starting with the village of Koloane.

The purpose of tracing the Korean series "The Princess and the Cold Prince"

Notably, the magnificent St. Francis Xavier Church, where many may visit the island to savor the delectable egg tarts from a renowned bakery.

However, this small area also offers delicious Chinese-Portuguese fusion restaurants to satisfy your hunger.

Nga Tim Cafe

Location: St. Francis Xavier Church, Coloane

Cuisine: Chinese + Western + Portuguese

This restaurant boasts a wonderful atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to satisfy your hunger pangs. Conveniently located next to the church entrance by the sea, it offers a delightful dining experience.

The Spicy Stir-Fried Shrimp with Sauce: A Hong Kong-Style Dish

The dish we ordered, Spicy Stir-Fried Shrimp with Sauce, is reminiscent of Hong Kong cuisine. It offers a subtle spiciness that tantalizes the taste buds.

This dish is a ribeye steak with french fries, a Western menu. My friend ordered a second serving, confirming its deliciousness.

Portuguese-style fried rice, featuring rice stir-fried with a sauce of this color, olives, raisins, and various fruits.

Shrimp salad with a rich cream sauce. The dressing contains chunks of cream cheese, which contrasts well with the sour vinegar dressing.

This dish is the most delicious. The broccoli is roasted with cheese, and the cheese is gooey and creamy.

The menu is printed on placemats with English descriptions.

We have arrived at the famous egg tart shop. Many people have asked which is better, Lord Stow's or Margaret's Cafe. In reality, the two shops are not the same and have different styles.

Lord Stow's has multiple branches, including one at The Venetian. In addition to egg tarts, they offer a wide variety of Western-style bakery items and fresh coffee beverages.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, making it a great value for money.

The Coloane branch is divided into two sections: a cafe with seating inside a shophouse and a bakery section for takeaway orders.

Shop name: Lord Stow's

Location: Coloane

Food categories: Egg tarts, coffee, and bakery items.

The atmosphere in the cafe

Here's the tart.

Let's take a closer look.

Other types of cakes are also available to order, and they are delicious too.

Western-style hot and cold beverages.

Don't be surprised to find pumpkin custard here. They say the restaurant has a Thai chef.

A few blocks away, there is a bakery that offers takeaway options. It is conveniently located near a public square and the path leading to the beach, making it easy to spot.

There are many types of desserts to choose from.

Continuing on to Senado Square, there are so many delicious food options that it's hard to choose. However, I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a Hong Kong-style porridge and noodle shop. We went there for a late-night meal around 3-4 pm, which was a great way to warm up on a cold day.

Wong Chi Kei Restaurant

Senado Square

Cuisine: Congee and Hong Kong-style noodles

The restaurant has two floors and is decorated in a Chinese style.

Serve hot tea first.

Shrimp wonton noodle soup, please. The wontons are huge!

This is wonton soup. The wontons are very, very big.

This dish is delicious.

Pork ball congee

Don't worry about ordering the wrong thing, just point at the menu!

Let's take a look at other snacks in Senado Square.

There are many brands of tea shops, but I like this brand.

**

Meatballs

I recommend trying the fish tofu stuffed with cheese. It's hard to miss, as it comes in small, round, yellow balls.

The remaining parts are too numerous to describe accurately. I will point to them randomly.

Fried pork burgers are also widely advertised. Why not try one?

"Fresh Milk Pudding" is another shop you shouldn't miss. Whether it's delicious or not depends on your taste, but if you're there, you should give it a try.

It's easy to find. Face Senado Square and walk along the street on the right. It's just a short walk.

If you see this cow, you have arrived.

The menu is so difficult to order from. I'll just have to choose randomly.

The seating in the shop is similar to the "On Lok Yun" near Old Siam.

Milk pudding with optional red beans.

Egg pudding, similar to a plain custard.

If you accidentally order Hot Milk Tea, you will get this: a glass with Carnation milk and a cup with hot Lipton tea.

Just a few blocks further, you'll find a delicious roast duck and rice shop with roasted chicken, red pork, and crispy pork. It shouldn't be difficult to locate; after all, online maps have advanced significantly in recent years.

Shop Name: Chan Kong Kei

Roasted duck, chicken rice, char siu, and crispy pork. 10/10, the most impressive dish of the trip.

The atmosphere at Longleng is pleasant, but be prepared to queue as seating is limited.

The sizzling sound of the roasted duck is enough to make anyone drool. This restaurant's signature dish, the honey-roasted duck, is truly divine.

You can order it as a single rice dish. Why call it Hainanese chicken rice? It's just plain white rice, but the chicken is like Hainanese chicken.

The taste is as good as Singapore's, but it lacks the spicy dipping sauce.

Red pork and crispy pork rice

Stir-fried chicken blood with vegetables is still delicious.

Don't worry if you don't know how to order. There is a menu for you to choose from, as always.

Walk through another alley and you will find Margaret's Cafe, another egg tart shop. It's perfect for a light breakfast.

Margaret's Cafe

Type of egg tart

This restaurant retains a strong local character, reminiscent of an old-fashioned establishment with a stern, customer-indifferent owner.

Unlike Lord Stow's, which has a more upscale atmosphere, Margaret's Bakery offers a more casual and homey experience.

Don't be confused if you see the Nata Cafe sign. It's the same shop.

This coffee shop serves coffee only. No lattes or other fancy coffee drinks are available.

In my opinion, the egg tart has less custard filling than Lord Stow's. The flavors are also different.

This bakery offers a limited selection of pre-made pastries. Instead, they specialize in customizable sandwiches, allowing customers to choose their preferred bread and fillings.

Sandwich counter, please.

For those who want to try a different breakfast option and are already planning to visit the Goddess of Mercy statue in the middle of the sea,

I recommend this restaurant. It is located on the road perpendicular to the Guan Yin statue, facing the sea. The restaurant is on the left-hand side.

Cafe Hou Fung

Category: Breakfast, Single Dish, Chinese + Western Style

The breakfast spread was impressive.

This is the most delicious.

There are menus to choose from.

On the Thai side of the border in Pa-kan, there are many shops and restaurants. Here's our recommendation: try the Portuguese food when you arrive.

Shop name: Galo

Cuisine: Portuguese

It's in the food alley, right at the entrance. Look for this chicken sign.

The atmosphere in the restaurant

Indulge in Portuguese-style fried cassava.

Grilled chicken

The cod fried rice is delicious.

In this neighborhood, I highly recommend this cozy coffee shop. Their coffee is truly excellent.

Turn to face the food alley and walk along the street on the right. You will find the restaurant there.

Passion

The coffee is excellent, flavorful, and meticulously prepared.

Finally, a review of the delicious-looking desserts at the original shop in Taipha Alley.

A Must-Try Local Dessert: Serradura

This passage describes a local dessert called "Serradura," which translates to "sawdust" in English. The author highly recommends trying this dish, describing it as a light milk pudding sprinkled with a sweet powder that has a caramel-like aroma.

This area also offers a variety of egg tarts and fried pork burgers to try, as well as many cozy cafes.

Review ends here. Have a fun trip and enjoy delicious food, everyone.
