"Three Thousand Bends" | Singles Go Together
by SUMVOYAGE
Shhh! Don't tell anyone we're sneaking out for a trip. (We won't tell.) Let's go on an adventure!
This time, we're taking you on a journey to the heart of Isaan... and the main destination of this trip is!!!!!!
"Sam Phan Bok"
Where are we? Let's get to know the hero of this trip.
Sam Phan Bok is located in the middle of the Mekong River, Pho Sai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
The name Sam Phan Bok comes from the words "300" and "bok", which means "basin".
Therefore, "Sam Phan Bok" means 3,000 basins.
Let's go!
We embarked on our journey by car with a friend.
We drove along Highway 2050, passing through Takarak Phipol District to Phothira District.
We then continued to Ban Song Kon and entered the village for about 3 kilometers.
Upon arrival, my friend and I hired a car to take us into the Bok.
You might be wondering why we hired a car when we had our own.
The village does not allow private cars to enter. It is better to go with the cars they provide.
This helps generate additional income for the villagers. ><
After a short drive, the car will stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the rolling waves of the 55+ basin.
Young tour guides will be available to provide guidance or you can explore on your own.
We chose to go with a guide to support their education.
Our young tour guide's name was "Nong Ploy".
Ploy is a bit shy, but her navigation skills are extraordinary. Excellent!
She is very energetic. My friends and I were exhausted after several rounds, but she was still walking calmly and comfortably.
She would always explain what each flag represented.
This is called "waving a heart shape." The younger sibling said that if someone who doesn't have love takes a picture, they will find love.
Oops!! So I took a picture lol 555+
I can't remember the name of this tree (my memory is really bad).
The scenery along the way is like this.
Let's highlight our wave!
This wave is a must-photograph for everyone who visits. It's the iconic…
"Mickey Mouse Wave"
Can you take a cool picture of me? (Please hurry)
Let's take a look at the overall view (apologies for my lack of skill).
The overall picture is about this.
In fact, the real place is quite beautiful, but you have to choose the right time to go.
Check the weather too. We think it's another place we recommend you try to visit.
Stop by and take some cool photos. The people here are lovely, kind and always have a smile on their faces. So cute!
That's about it for this Sampan Bok trip...
Where will we take you on our next trip?
