"Chiang Dao," a popular tourist destination and landmark in Chiang Mai, continues to attract visitors due to its scenic beauty.

The hidden rawness of nature

Travel

Private car

The journey from Chiang Mai city to the destination takes approximately two hours using Google Maps. Be aware that some sections of the road are narrow and winding, requiring the use of a horn frequently. Therefore, it is essential to exercise caution while driving.

Public transportation

Take the orange bus at Chang Phuak Bus Terminal, Chiang Mai-Tha Ton route. Tell the conductor to drop you off at Lotus Chiang Dao.

Take a local shared taxi ("songthaew") with a sign saying "Muang Kong." Tell the driver where you are staying, and they will drop you off there.

Upon arrival, the initial impression is of a bustling atmosphere (although currently, several houses have been demolished, leaving only a few remaining, and replaced with tents, which, I must say, offer a different kind of charm).

Accommodation surrounded by mist, it's so cool.

Waking up to a scene like this brings immense joy, especially when surrounded by loved ones.

This kind of happiness, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Waking up to a morning cup of coffee with the mist embracing you.

Turn off your phone (even if it has an intermittent signal) and hold hands with the person next to you as you lie down and count the stars in the sky.

The rooster's crowing at dawn, almost bursting its throat, serves as our alarm clock.

Stepping out the door, I was greeted by a veil of mist.

It would be beneficial…

The accommodation provides a warm and cozy duvet, which is especially helpful during cold weather. The duvet is clean and odorless, and it can be easily moved to the balcony for relaxation.

Dinner will be served in a Khantoke set. If you are not full, you can ask for more. There will be steamed rice, stir-fried vegetables, spicy Nam Prik Lee Sue, clear soup with tofu and minced pork, and crispy fried eggs. Simple food...but why is it so delicious?

The accommodation includes a large bed with a duvet, pillows, and mosquito net (tents are also equipped in the same way).

It is recommended to take a shower early in the day as the water is very cold.

Around 6 am, I heard a tapping sound in front of my house. I thought it was someone.

To our surprise, the staff brought us breakfast.

This includes minced pork congee (highly recommended), a coffee set, Ovaltine, and a hot water kettle.

Enjoying breakfast while watching the mist drift by.

The rain last night has left the morning air fresh and humid.

May the beautiful nature stay with us for a long time.
