The Great Kabab Factory is an authentic Indian restaurant chain with locations in multiple countries. It serves North Indian cuisine, which is influenced by Arabic and Persian flavors. Key ingredients in North Indian dishes include yogurt, tomatoes, and large onions.

The store's history reveals that it is the 18th branch globally and the first in Southeast Asia.

When it comes to Indian cuisine, many people immediately think of strong, pungent spices and fear the unpleasant smell and taste. However, at this restaurant, those concerns will vanish. Forget the notion that Indian food is difficult to eat and has a strong odor. Come and try this restaurant to discover how easy and delicious Indian food can be. The Indian dishes here lack the overpowering spice aromas that many people dread, instead offering flavors that are easy to enjoy and quite palatable to Thai tastes.

This restaurant offers both buffet and a la carte options, serving all you can eat in the following order: Starter > Main Course > Desserts. If you enjoy any particular dish, you can order more. Upon being seated, the staff will ask if you prefer a vegetarian or non-vegetarian option. Without hesitation, we opted for non-vegetarian. Now, let's take a look at the photos and see how enticing North Indian cuisine can be.

The restaurant's entrance is located on the lobby level of the Majestic Grande Bangkok Hotel.

Entrance to the shop inside the hotel lobby

Upon entering the shop, you will see a display of wines on the left-hand side. These are all renowned brands from India.

The restaurant's interior features a modern Indian design, with a concept inspired by a food factory. The dining area is not overly spacious, but the table arrangement is comfortable and avoids overcrowding. The tables are spaced adequately to ensure a sense of privacy and ease of movement.

Numerous certificates guarantee the deliciousness.

Beverage zone with both alcohol and non-alcoholic options

This kitchen is an open kitchen, allowing you to watch every step of the cooking process.

More importantly, the chef is very friendly and will even let you take photos while they cook.

The chef is preparing the restaurant's signature dish, a must-try for every visitor.

Let's take a look at the menu and see what we want to order.

This month's recommended menu

This week's menu will change every week and will rotate on a regular basis.

The first menu to be served is Chasni, which is a set of four sauces: mint sauce (green), yogurt sauce (white), tomato sauce (red), and tamarind sauce (brown). It is served with garnishes of sliced shallots, lime, and chili peppers.

These sauces are like a Thai condiment set, and they can be enjoyed with any dish.

The thin and crispy flatbread served with the sauce has a slightly salty taste. It can be enjoyed by dipping it in the sauce.

The next course is an appetizer made with yogurt, sprinkled with nuts and spices. The way to eat it is to take a bite and let the yogurt burst in your mouth. The taste is well-rounded and not too sour.

This is a blank paragraph.

Galouti Kabab

This signature dish features minced mutton infused with a blend of Indian spices, expertly grilled on a tawa. To savor this delicacy, simply crumble the kabab onto a golden-hued Kabab flatbread, drizzle with refreshing mint sauce, and roll it up for a delightful bite.

The Kabab flatbread boasts a remarkable flavor, while the minced mutton melts in your mouth, offering a unique textural experience. However, be prepared for a slightly astringent aftertaste.

Atta Chicken

This dish features tandoor-roasted chicken, wrapped in pandan leaves and bread, then baked again. This process infuses the chicken with the aroma of spices. It is recommended to enjoy this dish with yogurt sauce. The chicken is flavorful, tender, and not overly firm.

Burrah Kabab

This menu is New Zealand lamb grilled in Indian style. The grilled lamb here is very well done, no smell, not tough.

But we think it's a bit overcooked, making the meat a bit tough. But overall, it's still delicious.

Char Mirch Ka Salmon Tikka

This dish is grilled salmon marinated with four Indian spices.

The salmon pieces are generously sized, but they are slightly overcooked.

A squeeze of lemon from the garnish adds a zesty touch to enhance the flavor profile.

This menu is highly recommended. It features roti and naan bread. The naan bread comes in two varieties: plain and garlic butter. Both are incredibly soft and flavorful. The recommended way to enjoy this dish is to dip the bread into the Dal factory curry, made from lentils. The curry's flavor is reminiscent of our own Massaman curry.

This dish, whose name I cannot recall, has a flavor similar to chicken curry. It is best enjoyed with roti and naan bread.

Dal factory

Black lentil curry seasoned with butter, fragrant and delicious.

Lucknowi Murg Biryani

This dish is an Indian-style rice dish similar to chicken biryani, but with longer, slender grains of rice. The spices are fragrant without being overpowering, and the flavor is mildly savory and dry.

Now for dessert, we have two Indian-style sweets.

The first is an Indian-style mint ice cream. The mint and milk flavors are very strong, and it tastes a bit like incense. 555

Beetroot Halwa

This menu features beetroot mixed with milk, resulting in a sweet flavor. It is suitable for those who enjoy beetroot. However, we found this dish to be just average.

The Great Kabab Factory: A Culinary Adventure in Indian Cuisine

After a satisfying meal, let's delve into the experience of trying Indian food for the first time. Overall, the flavors were pleasant, although some dishes might not appeal to all Thai palates. However, there were also some truly delicious options. While some may initially recoil at the thought of Indian cuisine, this experience proved otherwise. The food was surprisingly enjoyable, exceeding expectations. The spices were not overpowering or pungent, making it a palatable experience even for first-timers. If you haven't tried Indian food before, The Great Kabab Factory is an excellent place to start. It might just change your perspective on this vibrant cuisine.
