We had agreed to return to Phu Thap Boek after our first attempt was thwarted by relentless rain, which prevented us from witnessing the breathtaking sea of mist. This time, we woke up early, prepared everything, and set off immediately. We chose the Lom Sak route again, but the weather seemed uncooperative. Rain poured intermittently throughout the journey, leaving us wondering if we would be disappointed once more.

The journey up Phu Thap Boek via Lom Sak route is not as difficult as one might think. However, the road is winding and steep. With determination, one can reach the destination. Similarly, travel often brings new experiences to life. As dusk approached, I sped up the engine to reach the top before darkness. After reaching the summit, the fog became so thick that I could barely see the road. The drive to the accommodation took a while longer, creating excitement that we will remember for a long time. Finally, we arrived safely at our destination. We stayed at Rai Rim Pha, just like our first visit. The room rate during the rainy season is affordable at 1,500 baht per night. We got a fantastic room next to the mountain's foot. It was an incredible experience.

The sound of the alarm clock woke us up in the early morning. We got out of bed and opened the curtains to see the sun rising from the horizon. We were ready to go see the sea of fog in the rainy season, which is just as beautiful as in the winter, and take pictures as a souvenir. However, we were a little disappointed. Today, the sky was not very cooperative. The fog was still thick, and we could barely see the view. So we decided to go for a walk and take some pictures while waiting for the weather to improve. We hoped that we would be able to see the sea of fog as we wished.

The air at Phu Thap Boek in the late afternoon, evening, and early morning is quite cold, and most importantly, the wind is strong throughout the night, even when sleeping in a room. The weather at Phu Thap Boek on that day was still unpredictable. The two of us tried to capture the sea of mist, which may not be as beautiful as others who came to see the sea of mist during the rainy season in its beautiful form.


However, we do not regret it. Although what we saw that day was different from others, what we received in return was an impression of this place, love, attachment, and it will be a place of our memories forever.
