Day One
Travel to Don Mueang Airport to board flight FD311.
The earliest flight, to maximize afternoon sightseeing time.
Due to the timing coinciding with breakfast, we pre-ordered meals to be enjoyed on board (pre-order 100 baht/menu, including drinks).
The flight to KLIA2 takes approximately 2 hours.
(Malaysia is one hour ahead of Thailand.)
It did not take long to pass through immigration, approximately 30 minutes.
Then head straight into the city.
This time, however, two friends joined me, so we decided to take an Uber to KL Sentral, which cost around 80 ringgit.
Upon arriving at KL Sentral, we decided to grab a bite to eat.
Old Town White Coffee, Brickfields branch
This branch is open 24 hours and is conveniently located next to our hotel.
We were four people, so we each ordered a different dish to try a variety of flavors.
Nasi lemak
Beverages
The lemon tea is excessively sweet. I do not recommend it.
The cost of this meal is 75.25 ringgit for 4 people.
We then parted ways with our friends to check in to My Hotel @Sentral, located next to the Old Town White Coffee branch in Brickfields.
The atmosphere inside the room
After packing our belongings, we went shopping in the Bukit Bintang area. We traveled by Monorail and got off at the Airasia Bukit Bintang station. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines.
This area boasts numerous shopping malls, including Low Yat Plaza, Sungei Wang Plaza, Berjaya Times Square, Lot10, Fahrenheit 88, and Pavillion. After an exhausting shopping spree, we decided to grab a bite at J-CO on the first floor of Berjaya Times Square.
Donuts cost around 2-3 ringgit each.
Chocolate milkshakes cost around 15 ringgit.
I stopped by a minimart and saw Milo in a bottle, so I bought it to try.
In front of the Pavillion shopping mall.
After strolling and shopping, we walked to KLCC. There is a walkway from Pavillion mall all the way to KLCC. Landmark: Petronas Twin Towers.
Let's take some photos and then find a place to sit and wait for the fountain show. The fountain show starts around 7:00 PM and ends around 8:00 PM.
After taking a few photos, my friends arrived. We then took some photos together for a while.
It started to rain, so I took the LRT back to KL Sentral station. I realized that I hadn't eaten dinner yet.
The meal concluded with instant noodles.
Approximately 3 ringgit per cup
Day two morning
After a good rest, we are ready to go out and explore according to the plan.
Stopping by KFC at KL Sentral for a bite to eat.
This KFC offers Thai sauce, which tastes like chicken dipping sauce.
We purchased round-trip bus tickets to Genting in advance at the lower level of KL Sentral before our trip.
Price: 4.3 Ringgit/person/trip
Our first stop will be Masjid Jamek, accessible via the LRT and Masjid Jamek station.
Entering the mosque here
- Women are required to wear a robe (free of charge).
- Men are allowed to enter if they are wearing long pants.
The next stop is Merdeka Square.
It seemed like they were setting up for an event when I visited.
The next location, KL Gallery, is just around the corner.
The entrance fee is 10 ringgit per person, but you will receive a 5 ringgit coupon that can be used to purchase items inside.
After that, we went for a walk at the Central Market.
It mainly sells souvenirs.
We then took the LRT train to KL Sentral, where we planned to visit Putrajaya in the afternoon. Upon arriving at KL Sentral, it was lunchtime, so we decided to grab something to eat.
The total cost of the meal was approximately 32 ringgit.
After our meal, we took the KL Transit train to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station.
We will go on a Putrajaya Sightseeing Tour (because we can't walk anymore).
The price is 50 ringgit per person and the duration is approximately 2.30-3.00 hours.
There are 2 sessions per day, at 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Except on Fridays, there will be only one session at 3:00 PM.
While waiting, I'll have something cold to drink.
The first stop is Seri Wawasan Bridge. All stops will have a duration of approximately 10 minutes (except for the Pink Mosque, which will have a duration of 40 minutes).
From this bridge, you can see the pink mosque.
Stop 2: Putra Mosque (Pink Mosque)
Female visitors without headscarves must queue to receive a headscarf at the side. Please note that the queue can be quite long.
Looking back at Seri Wawasan Bridge
Stop 3: Prime Minister's Residence
Stop 4: Moroccan Pavilion
Stop 5: Palace of Justice and Putrajaya Corporation Complex
Stop 6: Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)
Stop 7: Seri Gemilang Bridge
The bus then took us back to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station.
Upon arriving at the train station, they grabbed a bite to eat.
Donuts cost 2-3 ringgit each.
Next, I plan to take photos of the other side of the Petronas Twin Towers.
However, the weather did not cooperate, as it rained. As a result, I could only walk around inside the mall.
Day three, morning
This morning, we checked out early because we are changing accommodations today.
We had breakfast at the Old Town White Coffee branch in Brickfields, which is located next to our hotel.
The total cost for this meal was approximately 50.1 Ringgit.
After lunch, we decided to store our luggage before heading to Batu Caves.
We left our belongings at the KL Sentral station, near the KLIA Ekspres boarding area.
The storage fee for a large suitcase (24 inches) and a backpack was 40 Ringgit for 24 hours. The lockers are automated and easy to use, with assistance available if needed. Please note that each locker can only be opened once.
After storing our luggage, we took the KTM Komuter train to Batu Caves, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.
Upon arrival, it began to rain.
We waited for a while until the rain subsided a bit.
We then returned to KL Sentral in search of lunch. As usual, we ended up at McDonald's.
NU Sentral Branch, 4th Floor.
The damage was approximately 23.15 Ringgit.
Then I stopped for a caffeine boost at Starbucks @NU Sentral for 21.7 Ringgit.
We then went to wait for the bus on the lower floor of KL Sentral. The bus departed at 2:30 PM. The bus looked like this.
It takes about an hour to reach Awana Station. Upon arrival, store your luggage on the second floor. Large suitcases (24 inches) cost 5 ringgit for 24 hours. Then purchase your cable car tickets on the top floor. Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk for 8 ringgit per person per ride. Finally, queue up for the cable car.
Passengers can alight at Chin Swee Station (free access to Sky Avenue with the same ticket).
We alighted here due to concerns about fading light.
We then followed the escalator downwards.
After that, I couldn't take any pictures at all. The fog was too thick.
We then took the cable car to Sky Avenue Station.
Above is the Kios (cable car ticket booth).
Ticket booth
The bus ticket booth is also located near the cable car ticket booth.
There is also a 7-Eleven convenience store located near the cable car drop-off point.
After arriving at Sky Avenue Station, follow the signs to First World Hotel to check in.
First, you need to update your information with the staff before checking in at the kiosk.
First World Hotel is a hotel with a large number of rooms. One floor alone has a significant number of rooms.
The room I chose has a mountain view (for an additional 5 ringgit).
The view is like this.
The atmosphere inside the room
The rooms here do not have air conditioning, but they do have fans. However, I don't think they will be used much, as the weather is likely to be cool all the time.
After that, we went for a walk and looked for something to eat. There are many restaurants up here, so many that we couldn't decide. In the end, we went to the Malaysian Food Street.
After ordering food, you will receive this. When it's your turn, you will be notified by a sound.
This is what dinner looks like today.
The total cost of the food is 40 ringgit.
The last morning
We checked out, which was very easy. We simply inserted our card into the machine, and that was it.
After a short stroll, we headed to catch our 10:30 AM bus to KL Sentral.
Simple breakfast options at 7-Eleven
Please remove your shoes before boarding the cable car.
The mist is thick and widespread.
At the lower level of Awana Station, there is a bus ticket booth.
Upon arriving at KL Sentral, I sought out lunch.
Four Fingers fried chicken.
This set costs 13 ringgit.
Then take the KLIA ekspres directly to KLIA2.
It takes 33 minutes from KL Sentral to KLIA2, costing 55 ringgit per person.
We rushed to the airport because we wanted to buy souvenirs there.
Due to the inconvenience of carrying luggage and the fact that airport prices are not significantly higher, or even the same, as those outside the airport, another important task is tax refund.
The Tax Refund counter is located in Row Y. You will receive a receipt that allows you to collect your refund inside.
For more information, please visit the following link: http://www.gstmalaysia.org/touristrefund/
After that, please check in.
The immigration process can take a considerable amount of time, so it is advisable to allow for some extra time. After clearing immigration, you can collect your tax refund and grab a bite to eat before boarding your flight.
Try Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen chicken.
Price: 12.9 Ringgit
That's all for this trip. I'm signing off with this picture.
