Welcome back to another backpack-style travel review trip on a budget with "Deawpapai". This trip started with a plan to visit Sangkhla Buri, but due to time constraints, we had to look for a new trip not too far from Bangkok, as we only had 3 days. So, we ended up in Hua Hin-Prachuap Khiri Khan. This time, there were four of us. Let's join us on our trip and see how we can have a fulfilling trip without spending a lot of money.
The plan is as follows: Day 1, take a free train to Hua Hin and visit the beach and Plearnwan; Day 2, take a free train from Hua Hin to Prachuap Khiri Khan, climb Khao Chong Krachok, and visit Ao Prachuap; Day 3, climb Khao Lom Muak and return to Bangkok. Will the plan go as planned? Join us on our journey.
This may be the destination for many people, but this is where our journey begins. @Here at Hua Lamphong
We arrived at Hua Lamphong Station at 8:10 AM (we were super excited) to allow time for taking photos.
As the time approached, we proceeded to queue for the free train tickets, which required one identification card per ticket. We boarded the free train number 261, departing from Bangkok and arriving in Hua Hin. The train was scheduled to depart from Bangkok at 09:20 and arrive in Hua Hin at 13:35, with a fare of 0 baht per person. However, the train arrived at the platform later than usual.
While waiting for the train, I took some photos. There were quite a few people waiting for the train.
The train arrived at the platform at 10:30 AM, 1 hour and 10 minutes late. ^^
The journey was so enjoyable that they forgot how far they had come.
Traveling by train allows us to experience the natural beauty of the surroundings up close. ^^
The atmosphere along the way
At 2:30 PM, the train arrived at Hua Hin Station. The weather was hot. 😆😆 We then walked to the "Kacha Thong Hotel," which we had booked in advance.
According to Google Maps, it's a short walk. Relax and enjoy the stroll.
800 meters? Easy!
The sun is scorching hot 😂😂
A 10-minute walk will take you to Soi Hua Hin 84.
We're here! Hooray!
A selfie is a must-have. ^^
A serene and relaxing atmosphere with a focus on nature. Accommodation provided by @BaanKachaThong.
It was 4 pm when we set off for the beach in Hua Hin.
The distance from the accommodation to the destination is only 700 meters according to Google Maps. Easy!
[Image: A photograph of a young woman with long, flowing hair, wearing a white dress and standing in a field of sunflowers.]
It's only a 10-minute walk from here.
This concludes my trip to the beach in Hua Hin with this picture.
We walked from the beach to the Hua Hin Night Market to catch a songthaew to Plearn Wan. It was a short walk, only about 10 minutes. We then waited for the songthaew to arrive.
The market is only about 3 kilometers away from Plearnwan.
Two baht per person for the shared taxi, please.
We have arrived at Plearnwan! It's open until 10:00 PM, so even if you arrive late, you can still enjoy it.
This atmosphere truly brings back fond memories of childhood. ^^
This sign makes me smile involuntarily. 😉😉
Ferris wheel is here !!
The photo was taken with the dessert. Everyone is enjoying it so much. Oh, what about me? T___T The photographer missed taking a picture of me.
Group photo is here ^^
The photoshoot was a lot of fun, but also very tiring. We had to keep running into the frame after taking each photo.
This picture perfectly captures the essence of Plearn Wan, a place that transports you back to the carefree days of childhood.
We took a songthaew back to the Cicada Market, paying 15 baht each. We then walked around the Cicada Market and ended the day with this meal. After finishing our activities, we hired a tuk-tuk to return to the hotel for 100 baht for four people, as the songthaews stop running at 9 pm.
The hotel's atmosphere at night is quite beautiful.
The air conditioner here is already set to the lowest temperature. #Are you cold? Ask your heart. The first night went well.
On the second day, according to our plan, we were going to capture the first light at Hua Hin Beach. However, we woke up after 9 am, so we quickly showered and changed to continue to Prachuap Khiri Khan city.
After checking out, we headed to the train station.
We came across a tilted bowl noodle shop, so we stopped by to eat here.
Delicious and affordable. If you're passing by, stop by and try it. @Slanted Noodle Bowl, opposite Hua Hin Railway Station.

Upon arriving at Hua Hin Railway Station, I discovered a railway library. Feel free to explore it with us at @Tripallthai.
We arrived 40 minutes early and immediately went to get our free train tickets. The train we were going to take to Prachuap Khiri Khan was the Ordinary Train No. 255 from Thon Buri to Lang Suan. The train departed from Hua Hin Station at 11:47 AM and arrived in Prachuap Khiri Khan at 1:27 PM.
While waiting for the train, we went to take refuge from the heat at the coffee shop @Station Cafe. The prices are very friendly, and most importantly, the air conditioning is very cold, a stark contrast to the weather outside!!
A video review of a coffee shop.
Waiting for the train ^^
The train arrived on time at 11:45 AM. However, as it was a free train, finding a seat required some skill.
The atmosphere during the train journey from Hua Hin to Prachuap Khiri Khan.
13:30 p.m. The train arrived in Prachuap Khiri Khan on time. We must applaud the efficiency of the Thai railway system. Now, we need to find our way to the Mon Talay Hotel, which we have already booked in advance.
Not far, just 800 meters from the train station. It's a short walk, but be aware that it can get very hot in the sun.
Turn right at the fish market.
We have arrived at @Sea Magic Hotel, formerly known as Suk San Hotel. The atmosphere here is great, with a beautiful ocean view. The rooms are affordable, ranging from 590 to 690 baht.
A stunning view from the hotel. Amazing!
In our opinion, the room is satisfactory.
We walked out of the hotel to rent a motorbike and ride around.
Stopped by to confirm my arrival.
The car rental shop is located right next to the hotel. The daily rate is 200 baht for 24 hours. No deposit is required, just your ID card. You can call to reserve a car at this number: 087-7567790.
Upon acquiring a vehicle, we formulated a plan to inquire with military personnel regarding the possibility of ascending Khao Lom Muak. However, we were informed that access to Khao Lom Muak is restricted to public holidays only. Consequently, our visit coincided with an inappropriate day, resulting in disappointment. 😥😥😥
The atmosphere inside the 5th Air Wing. After this, we will head to Khao Chong Krachok.
Not far.
Not easy at all.
The monkeys on the mountaintop are adorable and tame.
With a young child
The view is stunning.
The view is definitely worth the climb.

And then like this.
The journey to this place is incredibly rewarding.
Watch the video for the atmosphere on our YouTube channel @Tripallthai. See you tomorrow!
Around 6:30 PM, we decided to head back down because we were worried it would get dark and we might encounter mischievous monkeys on the way down. 55
A thrilling moment before returning on Khao Chong Krachok.
Leaving the temple where we parked our motorcycles (the temple opposite Khao Chong Krachok), we will head to the beachfront road for some food. It is about 1 kilometer away from Khao Chong Krachok.
The view along the way was incredibly refreshing.
There isn't much variety today because it's not a weekend. We're planning to have a fancy seafood meal. ^^
Searching for seafood
Shrimp, shellfish, crab, and fish.
Where are you?
Unable to locate seafood. T____T
The meal ended with this dish, which tasted delicious and was very affordable. ^^

We sat and ate and played until late, then returned to the hotel to rest and recharge for the next morning.
On the morning of the 3rd, I woke up to capture the first light of the day in front of the hotel.
Press to watch the video. The morning atmosphere, the sound of waves hitting the sandy beach.
We departed from the hotel on a motorbike at 8:30 AM to visit Ao Manao Bay and pay respects at the shrine at the entrance to Khao Lom Muak.
The view on the way to Ao Manao Bay is stunning. It's a short drive from the accommodation.
This is a remarkably beautiful and peaceful waterfall, perhaps due to its location within a military zone, which limits the number of visitors.
Coming to the sea doesn't require swimming. We think just sitting and watching the sea is the ultimate pleasure.
To sit idly by the sea for a long time.
A slow-motion cartwheel performance at Ao Manao Bay. Afterwards, we rode motorbikes to Khao Lom Hat, which is located near Ao Manao Bay.
The atmosphere is very shady.
The view on the way to Khao Lom Muak. We think that the advantage of backpacking is that you can stop at any place you want and go to any place you want in your own way.
We have arrived. The mountain surrounds the hat, right by the sea. The view is stunning.
The refreshing atmosphere is indescribable.
The shrine of the Lord of Khao Lom Hat.
We then paid our respects and prayed to the Chao Pho Khao Lom Hat Shrine, before taking a leisurely stroll and snapping some photos.
Encountered this "spectacled langur". It's quite adorable, but I didn't see many of them today.
They live in flocks, don't they?
We finished and then rode a motorcycle to soak up the atmosphere.
Wherever we find beauty, we stop to capture it. ^^
It's a pity I didn't climb Khao Lom Muak more. One day, I will return to climb it again. ^^
We will now ride our motorbikes to Wat Ao Noi, where there is a reclining Buddha statue inside a cave.
Only 11 kilometers from Google. Easy breezy.
The
A view along the way.
I see the temple! We're almost there!
Nestled amidst lush greenery, this temple offers breathtaking ocean views. The serene atmosphere and picturesque setting make it an ideal place for reflection and tranquility. Located in Ao Noi, this temple is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Our destination is on top of this mountain. There is a large reclining Buddha statue in a cave up there. Let's go!
Warm up to energize yourself before entering the stage.
The path is easy to walk on, with concrete all the way. Follow us!
After a while, you will come to a fork in the road. Do not go up the fork, but continue straight ahead to the Phra Non Cave.
There is a sign that says "Sabai" (meaning "comfortable" or "relaxed" in Thai).
The path is very shady.
Keep walking, the sun isn't hot.
Weary, we stopped to admire the view.
The road ahead is long.
Not easy yet.
Rising steadily.
I'm starting to get tired. 555
The path is lined with cacti. Be careful not to fall, as it will hurt!
The higher you climb, the more beautiful the view, wouldn't you agree? ^^
It's almost here.
Let's take a break.
We have arrived. The path leading up here will have two rest stops.
The cave is dark. There is a coin-operated donation box with 102 coins. Once you donate, the lights in the cave will turn on.
Click the link to watch the video from @Tripallthai.
Downstairs please ^^
We have descended to the bottom.
There is a passageway that allows for single-person entry.
The entrance to the cave leads to a large, open chamber.
Very wide.
Look up ^^
From the cave hall, there is a path leading down to the reclining Buddha statue. Please follow me.
You will encounter a large reclining Buddha statue. The atmosphere is remarkably cool, with the intermittent sound of bats chirping.
Let's go inside.
It's actually very dark in the cave.
After walking for a while, I came across a sign that I wasn't sure was in Burmese or Khmer. However, it looked like it had some kind of magical power.
Nearby, as far as we can see, it seems to be a holy well.
Continue straight ahead, and you will find another reclining Buddha statue.
The number of tourists seems to be increasing steadily, judging from the current situation.
The interior is a spacious hall, remarkably cool.
This place gives me goosebumps. ^^ Actually, there are still many places for us to explore, but we decided to return after paying our respects and making wishes due to time constraints.

Click the link to see the atmosphere inside the cave with us @Tripallthai ^^
The cave actually has a lot more to explore, but due to time constraints, we had to descend quickly.
The descent was much more comfortable than the ascent.
After descending from the Phra Non Cave, we were famished. We decided to find something to eat at the Lotus Prachuap branch, but there was no food court. MK and KFC were also fully booked, so we ended up at this restaurant in the HomePro Prachuap branch.
Every meal of ours is Isaan food.
Hungry faces of the trip participants ^^
After that, we returned the rental car and headed back to our hotel.
Please contact the rental shop for more information.
The friendly car rental owner kindly drove us to the train station.
Prachuap Khiri Khan Railway Station: While waiting for the train, I took some photos.
The big boss of Prachuap Khiri Khan Railway Station
The train schedule for Prachuap Khiri Khan station is as follows: We will return to Bangkok on Express Train No. 40, originating from Surat Thani and terminating at Bangkok Station. This is a second-class air-conditioned train departing Prachuap Khiri Khan at 3:00 PM and arriving in Bangkok at 7:45 PM. The fare is 455 Thai baht per person.
2:58 p.m. The train arrived at Prachuap Khiri Khan station on time.
Classic red label
Photographed on the train.
There are snacks to be distributed as well ^^
We were unable to sleep because of a rule that stated whoever falls asleep will have their picture taken and shared publicly. Who could possibly fall asleep under such circumstances?
We disembarked at Bang Sue Grand Station. The train arrived on time, which was great.
This trip would not have been possible without the four of you. Thank you for joining me, having fun, and laughing all the way. Here is a summary of the expenses, which only includes transportation and accommodation, not food.
Hua Hin - Prachuap 3 days 2 nights not as expensive as you think ^^
Thank you for reading until the end. We would like to thank everyone who has been following us. We hope that our trip review will be helpful to those who are interested in backpacking like us. Please stay tuned for our next trip. Follow our journey at "Deawpapai" https://www.facebook.com/Taere...
