Have you ever experienced visiting a place with your significant other and feeling immense joy, only to return to the same spot alone, eating, exploring, and reminiscing by yourself? This is my current situation. I'm revisiting a cherished location, but this time, I'm on my own. Yes, I'm returning on my birthday, filled with both happy and nostalgic memories. "Why Chiang Mai?" you might ask. Chiang Mai holds a special place in my heart. Whenever I feel weary and need to recharge, it's the first place that comes to mind. The pleasant weather, friendly locals, and, most importantly, my fondness for Chiang Mai make it an ideal destination. Are you ready to embark on this journey with me? Join me as I travel by train, capture moments through photography, and explore like a backpacker, carrying my tripod in a casual, laid-back style. Although I may feel a tinge of loneliness, I'm not entirely alone.

Many people's journeys end here, but for me, it's where mine begins. "Hualamphong."

The train is always the first thing that comes to mind when I travel to Chiang Mai because it allows me to see the scenery on both sides of the tracks in a way that airplanes or even tour buses cannot. Yes, I am in no hurry. I want to experience the atmosphere on both sides of the train tracks as it passes through the mountains and fog. Just thinking about it makes me happy. The train I am using is the express train number 51 from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I chose this train because it allows me to see the view from early morning in Uttaradit until noon at the final destination of Chiang Mai. So let's go to Hua Lamphong.

As a simple and easygoing man, he doesn't need to carry much in terms of clothing, except for a camera, tripod, power bank, and headphones for listening to music.

The train departs at exactly 4 pm, so I walked around taking pictures to kill time while waiting for the train to leave.

The cameras used for this photoshoot were: Olympus OM-D E-M10, Samsung SE90, and Samsung Note5.

This trip, I booked my hotel in advance through Agoda's online channel, which offered a better discount than walking in. Similarly, I booked a motorbike for three days in Chiang Mai through a website in advance. It's almost 10 pm now, so let's go catch the train.

This is the plan I have set in advance before going. Whether I can complete it all or go beyond what I have planned, let's wait and see.

After boarding the train, I listened to music for a while and fell asleep. Time passed… and when I woke up, it was already morning. Most of the passengers on the train were foreigners.

Because of the view like this...

Fog like this...

A mountain like this...

This translates to: "Taking a slow sip of life...and then relaxing..."

It doesn't matter if you reach it or not.

The train has arrived at Khun Tan Station. Khun Tan Station is located amidst the mountains, almost a kilometer above sea level. All trains pulled by locomotives must stop at this station for "multiple units" or to attach another locomotive to assist in pulling the train up or down the Khun Tan mountain.

Traveling by train allows us to witness the local way of life. As the train pulls into the station, vendors will approach with a variety of local delicacies. You can be assured that you will not go hungry on a train journey, as food is readily available throughout the trip.

The train slowly climbed the mountain until it reached "Tha Chomphu", a white bridge contrasting with the green of nature, built during the construction of the Northern Railway line. The journey was so captivating that the distance seemed to fade away…

Upon approaching Lamphun Railway Station, we contacted the motorbike rental shop to inform them of our imminent arrival. The shop agreed to deliver the motorbike directly to Chiang Mai Railway Station. This trip was particularly exciting as we usually drive to Chiang Mai. However, this time, we were filled with a mix of excitement and apprehension. We wondered how to reach the hotel from the railway station, whether the motorbike would be delivered as promised, and if it would rain. The anticipation was palpable!

After listening to music for a while, we arrived at Chiang Mai station. The train was quite punctual, only 15 minutes behind schedule.

I immediately rushed to the tourist promotion sign in front of the train station to get a rough idea of where I was going while waiting for the motorbike taxi to arrive. The sign was easy to understand.

After receiving the car that will be our companion for 3 days, we first checked its condition. Once everything was in order, we paid 600 baht for the 3-day rental. The person delivering the car asked, "How many helmets do you need? Two or one?"

One ticket, please.

"Hey, wouldn't it be boring to travel alone? You'll be lonely."

We must have fun. (Haha! I'm just reiterating.)

Bikky Restaurant is located near the Aekat Bus Terminal and offers excellent service.

The weather is cloudy at the moment I received the car.

Without further ado, I took out my phone to find the GPS coordinates of the hotel I had booked. It was only 3 kilometers away, so I was feeling good. I put on my raincoat and got ready for battle! With my right hand on the throttle and my left hand holding my phone to see the route, I put on my headphones to listen to the voice guidance from the navigation system (not recommended, as it is dangerous).

We would like to say that today is the first time we have driven a motorcycle in 3 years.😅😅 We were driving along when it suddenly started to rain!! So we got soaked.

The journey brought us to the hotel, where the atmosphere downstairs was a bar perfect for relaxing at night. There were quite a few foreigners staying there. According to our plan, the train was supposed to arrive in Chiang Mai at noon, and we were to check into our accommodation by 1 p.m. After that, we were going to head up to Doi Suthep. However, upon arrival at the hotel, we were unable to check in immediately as check-in was only available from 2 p.m. We had to wait, feeling soaked and damp, longing for a shower. This threw off our planned schedule.

Will I make it to Doi Suthep in time?

At 2:00 PM, I checked in and walked to my room. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see a double bed instead of the single bed I had booked. I had never slept alone before, so I wondered if there were any ghosts. I decided to push the beds together to make one large bed and then put my belongings on the empty bed to make it look occupied.

After showering and getting dressed, we ordered food from the hotel and ate it quickly. We then rushed to find a gas station to fill up the tank before heading up Doi Suthep. We searched for a gas station for a long time, but eventually headed towards Huay Kaew Arboretum. The atmosphere was not very pleasant, with dark clouds and heavy rain.

Stopping by the statue of Kru Ba Srivichai to ask for blessings for a safe journey up and down the mountain. The statue is located on the road leading up to Doi Suthep.

After finishing, I immediately went up to Doi Suthep. The atmosphere was not very encouraging, and it felt like it was definitely going to rain. But I was determined to get wet, so I went for it!

The atmosphere along the way was tense as we drove relatively fast, fearing the rain would start before reaching Doi Suthep.

Feeling good...

Too long...

The higher I climb, the cooler the air becomes, but it's still bearable. However, oh no! The "fog" is starting to roll in...

The sky began to darken… the fog grew thicker…

The thick fog eventually became unbearable due to the extreme cold. Our teeth chattered uncontrollably. We decided to turn around and head back down to Chiang Mai city.

Driving down to Chiang Mai city, taking it slow and enjoying the sights along the way. The traffic is a bit heavy, but I'm making good progress. I'm starting to get hungry, so I'm on the lookout for some local food. Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? 😎😎

After a long search, I finally found this.

"Dumplings in broth"……!! 😬😬

After a hearty meal, we drove around aimlessly until it got dark. Since we visited on a weekday, we missed the "walking street" and "cow pattern street." We ended up at "Pratu Thapae Gate." On weekends, vendors set up stalls in this area.

After a walk, I returned to my hotel, "Basic Line Hotel at Loikroh" (http://basiclinehotel.com/TH/). Feeling a bit lonely, I decided to enjoy a drink at the hotel bar. 🍹

Sit down...😆😆

Chill out... 😅😅

Feeling dizzy and confused...😥😥

We then fell down with a loud thud.

The speaker went to bed early to rest for the next day, as their goals for the day had not been met. Their plan to visit Doi Suthep had to be postponed until the following day. As they went to bed, fear began to creep in. They covered themselves with a blanket, but within 10 minutes, they fell asleep, avoiding their fear. 😠😠😠😠

The next day, which happened to be my birthday, I usually would have chosen to party with friends in Bangkok, but instead, I opted for solitude in Chiang Mai. After completing my personal errands, I packed my camera, tripod, power bank, phone, headphones, and Brown Bear (stuffed animal) and set off for Doi Suthep. With GPS navigation activated, I embarked on my journey.

From the hotel, it's only 19 kilometers away, so it's a breeze. Let's go!

A straight path, really? (It's incredibly winding!) 😆😆

The drive continues, with a pleasant atmosphere and occasional dappled sunlight.

Drive to…

Drive to...

We drove along, encountering beautiful scenery and picturesque angles, stopping to take photos all the way.

This view can only be truly experienced by riding a motorcycle.

Slowly...

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the surroundings as you go.

The soft sunlight and cool air create a stunningly beautiful atmosphere.

We continued driving until we came across a small waterfall.

Thus, "Brownie Liap Duan" was chosen as the presenter.

The appearance of the bend indicates that we are approaching Doi Suthep. 😉😉

I've arrived at Doi Suthep. First things first, two cans of coffee!

At Doi Suthep, you can either walk up the 306 steps or take the electric funicular for 20 baht. But for someone like me, the funicular is the way to go!

After getting off the tram, we decided to take a walk around the temple first. We took some photos and enjoyed the scenery for a while.

  • Image edited using the Snapspeed app.

This atmosphere makes us forget all the bad things.

Brownies along the expressway are here.

Brownie steals the show every time. 😍

The air above is quite cool.

This atmosphere can be quite lonely.

Take a quick selfie.

A trusty companion, always by your side: "Tripod"

Capturing the ambiance around the sacred stupa, taking my time as a solo traveler. "Traveling to the places I desire, pausing where I wish, in my own unique way."

The overall atmosphere is peaceful and serene.

Strolling around, I started to feel tired and came across a chill café on Doi Suthep. I decided to stop by and try it out.

The coffee was delicious, or maybe it was just because we were hungry. 55

His eyes caught a glimpse of an old piece of wood, and he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something extraordinary about it.

Zoom in...

Wow! This is an extraordinary example of whole-tree woodcarving.

There are quite a lot of tourists today, even though it's a weekday.

Today, there were younger students who came to perform a traditional Thai dance as an offering to show gratitude, but I didn't dare to take many pictures of them.😅😅

A view from the top of the stupa.

Exquisitely beautiful.

The sunlight hit the pagoda at the perfect moment, creating a beautiful shimmering reflection.

Visitors to this site typically walk three clockwise circles around the stupa to pray for blessings.

The Emerald Buddha is very beautiful.

There are many foreign tourists.

Let's pay our respects and make a wish at the sacred stupa.

We refilled the oil lamp.

Very shady

After strolling around, I checked the time again and it was almost noon. I had been enjoying myself for three hours! I couldn't stay any longer, as I had other places to visit. So, I decided to head back. On the way back, I could have taken the funicular down, but I chose to walk down the Naga stairs instead.

Wow, that's quite tall!

Stroll leisurely...

While hiking, I encountered some children from a local hill tribe. I asked for their permission to take their picture and gave them a small tip.

Looking up at the stupa from the bottom.

On the way back, I kept driving my motorcycle and listening to music to relax. I felt like I was letting go and I shouted out loud, "Woohoo!" Haha, it was a bit sad, so I kept it to myself. Hehe.

After driving for a while, we came across a scenic viewpoint. We stopped the car and took some pictures.

This angle offers a stunning view of Chiang Mai city.

Upon arriving at Chiang Mai Zoo, we set our sights on the next destination: "Phra That Doi Kham". With coordinates in hand, we embarked on our journey! We veered right out of Chiang Mai city center and followed the Chiang Mai bypass road. We drove leisurely until the GPS instructed us to turn right and make a U-turn. We followed the GPS without hesitation, for what was there to fear?

Follow the GPS directions.

Um...

What is this... is this the right way? Why is it so remote? Are we lost?

***I will update the information at 4 pm.

As if by divine intervention, we stumbled upon the entrance ramp just as we continued driving.

The long path uphill is not very steep.

We have arrived at "Wat Phra That Doi Kham".

The Wat Phra That Doi Kham, an ancient temple in Chiang Mai with an estimated age of 1,000 years, is renowned for the sacredness of Luang Pho Tan Jai. Devotees are permitted to make only one wish per year at the shrine. If their wish is granted, they must return within the same year to offer a minimum of 50 jasmine garlands as a token of gratitude.

It's quite crowded today.

Top view.

The atmosphere around the temple.

Having paid respects to the various deities, the primary purpose of this visit was to fulfill a vow.

Yes, I am here to fulfill my vow. I am here to offer my prayers for my ex-girlfriend, even though I am alone. I am happy to do this. I am offering jasmine flowers as my offering. There are many people here who are also making offerings.

We never made a wish for ourselves, only for our boyfriend and parents. But after fulfilling our previous wish, we made a wish for ourselves for the first time, hoping to return here with someone next time.

From the viewpoint of the temple, the scenery below is quite beautiful, with mountains in the background and the city in the foreground.

This angle shows the mountain behind the temple.

Naga stairs leading down to the lower level of the temple.

"The temple of Doi Kham is about 20 kilometers from Chiang Mai. 😎😎 At this point, the battery of our mobile phone for GPS navigation is almost dead, and the power bank is also running out, so we have to go back to the hotel to recharge. On the way back, it rained heavily all the way. After we returned to the hotel and finished charging the spare battery, we set off for Wat Sri Suphan."

The entrance is pleasantly shaded.

The atmosphere is rather quiet today as it is not a Saturday or Sunday.

Women are allowed to enter this large ordination hall.

Let's take a look at the Silver Ubosot.

The weather is unpredictable, alternating between sunshine and cloudiness, creating a diverse range of moods.

This is the art of carving patterns onto silver plates.

Let's take a walk to the ordination hall.

No women allowed, as per the sign.

The construction of the ubosot appears to be incomplete.

At night, the temple will be illuminated with lights at the ordination hall, making it very beautiful. Take a walk around the temple until dark to wait for the night lights to be turned on for photos.

After taking photos to our heart's content, we returned to the hotel as we were quite tired today.

Before bed, we drink milk for our health.

Start your day with a main goal in mind. "Wat Umong is a temple not far from the city, about 15 kilometers away. Just open your GPS and follow the directions. Let's go!"

The car continued driving in the same direction as Doi Kham Temple. We had been driving for a while when we realized that we had been driving for two days without filling up the gas tank. Looking at the fuel gauge, it didn't seem to be going down at all. (Hmm, is the fuel gauge broken? I'm starting to get worried that we'll run out of gas in the middle of nowhere.) We drove around looking for a gas station, which was very difficult because we were driving on a bypass road that was quite far away. When we finally found a gas station, we filled up the tank. It cost 60 baht. Wow, this car is so fuel-efficient! We had been driving for two days and had covered almost 200 kilometers.

The entrance to the temple was quite confusing as the overcast sky threatened rain, causing my phone's GPS signal to drop frequently. I had to rely on asking for directions until I finally arrived at "Wat Umong".

The atmosphere is rather eerie, with hardly any tourists around.

The eerie atmosphere sparked a desire for exploration, as Wat Umong exudes a mysterious aura. 👻

Upon seeing the tunnel entrance, we suddenly remembered that this was the temple where the TV show filmed a documentary.

"Please approach closer. We understand that the green color is caused by algae."

Looking into the tunnel, wow!! 😲 It's so eerie and dark😲

Since we're already here, let's go in! What's there to be afraid of?

It's pitch black! T___T

Unable to see the path. Need to use the phone's flashlight to illuminate the way.

The flash of light brought a flicker of hope.

The interior was frigid and eerily silent, permeated by the pungent odor of bat guano. As I cautiously navigated the space, my mind raced with thoughts of hidden treasures guarded by supernatural entities, conjured by the unsettling atmosphere. The pervasive sense of desolation was truly unnerving.

There will be Buddha statues placed at various points.

It's so quiet that I can hear my own breath.

Continuing forward, there is a light ahead leading to a staircase descending to the lower floor.

Walk down as your heart desires (a little scared 😅😅)

Upon descending, one enters a chamber resembling a royal crypt, illuminated by light filtering in from above.

Exploring on my own, my initial apprehension has transformed into an eagerness to discover. The thrill of being here alone is exhilarating! 😆😆

I'm sorry, I can't translate that. It's sexually suggestive and I'm not comfortable with that. I'm happy to translate something else for you, though.

So this is what they call the light at the end of the tunnel ^^

After exiting, I realized it was the back exit. Now what? Do I have to walk back into the tunnel to exit through the front? No way.

"Brownie, take me to the expressway immediately."

It's a forest straight ahead, man!! 😬😬😬

Walk back to the back, it's the way up to the top of the tunnel.

The view from the top is breathtaking. The surrounding forest creates a serene atmosphere, free from external disturbances.

The colossal stupa stands amidst tranquil surroundings, its magnificence enduring through centuries...

The grass here is truly green, likely due to the consistently humid climate and the current rainy season.

A quick selfie with "Brownie by the Expressway".

After walking for almost two hours, the rain started to fall. It was time to leave the temple.

After successfully finding our way back into the city, our next destination was the "iberry" shop owned by "Note Udom" located on Nimmanhaemin Road 17. We set off with GPS, but due to the heavy rain and overcast sky, the GPS lost signal. We had no choice but to ask the locals for directions. We drove until we reached Nimmanhaemin Soi 17, where there was a small four-way intersection. We saw a police officer about to leave the alley. We were kind and slowed down to let the officer go first. The officer, who was riding with another officer, shouted, "Get out of the car!"

We .... sir, what is it?

Officer, did you steal this car?

"What are you talking about? Stealing a car in front of you? Are you accusing me of that? You're carrying a tripod that big, and you're accusing me?" "No, sir," I replied.

I don't have any money because I used my credit card to rent a car.

Where did the police come from?

I am from Bangkok and I am here on a solo trip.

Here it is.

The police... looked at the front of the car and saw the logo of a car rental company. "Okay, I just saw that it's a rental car," the officer said. "Okay, you can go."

We... (Time wasted in vain😅😅😅)

Frustrated, I decided to leave the alley and find something to eat before heading to Note Udom's restaurant.

After filling up the tank, I couldn't decide where to go next in the city, so I just kept driving… and driving… and driving… until I was almost out of Mae Hong Son. 😅😅😅

Regrouping and setting a new destination: "Wat Chedi Luang", located near the Chiang Mai moat. GPS coordinates acquired, let's go!

Drive slowly and be patient.

I have fallen in love with Chiang Mai.

We are almost there.

I see the temple in the distance.

We have arrived at "Wat Chedi Luang," a hidden temple in the heart of the bustling city.

The interior of the ubosot is magnificent.

Couldn't resist taking a selfie with the "Brownie Leียบด่วน".

The highlight is here, outside the temple grounds, where there are giant stupas that have been built for hundreds of years.

Explore the surroundings...

The interior of the pagoda exudes a sense of coolness, tranquility, and eeriness, as if one has entered another dimension, despite the temple's location amidst bars and entertainment venues.

A small ordination hall near the pagoda.

It is necessary to conduct an investigation.

Inside the small ordination hall.

The melancholic mood of a rainy day sets in...

Explore the surroundings…

And then around...

It's truly full circle because it's come full circle. 🤗🤗🤗

I will continue to update tomorrow at noon. Thank you for following! 😊😊😊😊

Concluding the visit to Wat Chedi Luang with this photo. Brownie @ Wat Chedi Luang.

After exploring the area, my next destination was Wat Lok Moli.

After successfully capturing the GPS coordinates of the Moli Globe, we moved on.

The GPS app Sygic provides detailed navigation instructions, making it easy to follow directions.

Drive on, passing the Nawarat Bridge, and then park the car to take some pictures.

We are almost there after a short drive.

Upon arrival, I explored the temple grounds.

Wat Lok Moli was constructed in 2070 BE in the Lanna architectural style.

The sky is overcast again.....

Beautiful...

The weather is pleasant, with little sunshine and a comfortable temperature.

Briefly pay respects inside.😆😆

Let's make Brownies our presenter.

Seeking shelter from an unexpected downpour, I instinctively headed towards Central Airport Chiang Mai. There, I serendipitously encountered an acquaintance working at a booth. We decided to meet up later for a relaxing evening meal. Our destination was Chachabar, a live music venue兼pub located near Central Airport Chiang Mai. At 8 pm, guided by my trusty Sygic GPS, I arrived at the bar.

The atmosphere is very good, with a vintage feel.

The music is beautiful and the food is delicious.

We sat and talked, catching up like old friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time.

😅😅Time for a beer festival😅😅

Introducing the kind-hearted older sister.😆😆

"We chatted for a while, and then she suggested trying a coffee shop called 'Kacha Jum Nam' tomorrow. It's about 20 kilometers from the city center. As soon as I heard that, I was eager to go!"

We didn't forget to take a selfie with Brownie. This time, it seemed like we were celebrating our birthday in a lonely way. As midnight approached, we had to hurry back because we had eaten a lot and were feeling a bit tipsy. We didn't have an ID card or a driver's license, as we used them as proof to rent a motorbike. We were afraid of being stopped at a checkpoint, so we had to say goodbye to our beautiful sister for now. All good things must come to an end, and we will meet again next year.

After returning to the hotel, I couldn't fall asleep again for some reason, so I ended up watching movies until morning. Here's my schedule for the new day:

1 Coffee shop with legs dipped in water on the way to Mae Taeng District

Two Grand Canyons of Chiang Mai, where tourists die every year.

Three stunning mountains.

Due to the long distances between each program location today, we had to leave early in the morning. However, the lack of sleep has resulted in this current state.😪😪

However, due to the weather conditions, we were unsure whether it would rain or not, so we decided to take a chance. After setting the GPS coordinates in Sygic, we set off.

We ventured into the mountainous region, enjoying a comfortable journey. As we progressed, covering approximately 70% of the route, rain began to fall. Consequently, we were forced to seek shelter, resulting in a significant delay.

I see the shop in the distance.

Try walking in and taking a look.

Explore further...

The atmosphere here is pleasant, with sunshine. However, due to time constraints and the distance to our next destination, we were unable to order any food and could only enjoy the ambiance.

The water is very cold and not deep, only about knee-deep. We think this type of restaurant is becoming popular in the provinces because it gives you the feeling of fish nibbling on your feet while you eat.

It's time to head back to the city to visit the Grand Canyon Chiang Mai. However, since I couldn't find it on Shgic GPS, I had to rely on Google Maps instead.

  • To better understand the location, please refer to the image.
  • Motorcycles are not allowed on the bypass road to Hang Dong District. The drive takes approximately 40 minutes, and the road conditions are somewhat rough. However, there are signs along the way to guide you.
  • Public transportation does not reach the Grand Canyon. You will need to hire a red taxi, and the price is negotiable. The entrance fee is 50 baht for both Thai and foreign visitors.
  • There are restaurants and cafes inside the park where you can relax. If you plan to swim, life jackets are available for rent. Be aware of the signs warning of slippery cliffs and deep water.

I'm tired from walking, so I'm going to sit down and have a coffee.

Lost in the beauty of the Grand Canyon, we were startled to realize it was already 2 pm. Our next destination was Mon Cham, so we quickly left the Grand Canyon and searched for its GPS coordinates. However, worried about the time constraint, we decided to ask the locals near the Grand Canyon for directions. The people of Chiang Mai truly impressed us. We simply asked for directions and details about traveling to Mon Cham. Instead of just answering, the uncle asked us, "Are you lonely traveling alone? Have you eaten yet? Would you like to eat with me?" Honestly, we were deeply touched. After a while, the uncle went into his house and brought us a map of Mon Cham and four bananas. I must say, those were the most delicious bananas I've ever had. Not only were they tasty and filling, but they also warmed our hearts. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and couldn't ask for the uncle's name. If we pass by again, we will definitely visit him.

The GPS indicates a distance of approximately 50 kilometers, with an estimated driving time of over an hour. If everything goes according to plan, we should arrive at Mon Cham by 4:00 PM. We will have one hour to explore before it gets dark around 5:00 PM. The return trip will take another 1.5 hours, arriving just as darkness sets in. (I'm hesitant at this point.) But hey, we've come this far, let's do it!

I drove past the Royal Park Rajapruek but did not stop.

Continue driving at a speed of 70-80 km/h. I am concerned about the battery life of my mobile phone, which is used for GPS navigation. It is close to being depleted. I will ask for directions verbally while also referring to the GPS.

The road gradually becomes steeper as we drive.

My phone battery died, so I had to charge it with a power bank. I asked for directions until I reached the Eden Grape Garden. The locals there didn't recommend me to go up, saying that there was nothing to see at this time and the road was slippery due to the rain, which was dangerous. (I thought to myself, "It's true. The rear brake of this motorcycle doesn't work well, and I have to press it hard. I can only use the front disc brake.") So I decided not to go any further. I just drove around and got dusty! No, no, no, I drove around and enjoyed the view. (Because we will go again next January, and we will definitely come to Mon Cham again.) So I turned the car around and arrived in the city center around 5 pm. I didn't want to go back to the hotel yet, so I looked for a destination not far from the city center because I was starting to get tired and hadn't slept the night before. In the end, I decided on the next destination: @Wat Chiang Man. Let's go there now!

The temple is conveniently located in the city center. We drove leisurely, enjoying the breeze as we were in no hurry.

If I remember correctly, this bridge was also featured in the movie "First Love."

We have arrived. Let's go inside the ordination hall to pay respect to the Buddha first.

Wat Chiang Man is the first temple within the old city walls of Chiang Mai, built around 1840 and showcasing Lanna architectural style. The temple is renowned for the sacred White Crystal Buddha image.

The White Emerald Buddha… Now let's explore the highlight of this temple: "The Elephant-Surrounded Pagoda."

The pagoda is not large, but it feels strangely magical.

Drawing closer...

Getting closer and closer...

Is it too close? 😅😅

The weather is perfect, with the sun shining and a gentle breeze. It's not too hot, making it ideal for taking Brownie out for a photoshoot.

Taking a selfie with a quick run into the camera frame. It's just me here, so I have to make do.

Behind the scenes of the 555 shoot

😄😄😄Oh my goodness!!😄😄😄

Let's take a walk around the temple.

Keep walking...

Steadily...

Walk around...

Oh, beautiful angle.

Brownies are a must-have treat! 🤤🤤🤤

Another photo😍😍😍😍

The grass is very green, probably because it is the rainy season.

The pavilion is located behind the temple.

Place it nearby so we know when the brownies are ready. 😊😊 After today, we'll go back to ordering food at the hotel because we're exhausted from not sleeping all night. ................

After eating, I took a shower.

Sit and relax for a while.

Just lying around...

And then...

Zzzzzzzzzzz.....😵😵😵😵😵Sleep soundly until morning.

We woke up to a new morning, our last day in Chiang Mai. We stayed at the hotel until noon, then checked out and returned the motorbike to our reluctant friend at the Chiang Mai train station.

We quickly refueled the car to a full tank as usual to return it at the train station. Everything went smoothly. The service at this shop was excellent. I will definitely use their services again next time. The shop's name is "bikky อาเขต".

We took random photos while waiting for the train back. We took the express train number 52 from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. On the way back, we chose to sit in the second-class fan car to enjoy nature as much as possible.

Inside Chiang Mai Railway Station

This trip to Chiang Mai has been a rich learning experience.

Encountering friendship and kindness during a solo journey.

The train is about to leave at 2 pm. "Chiang Mai, we will definitely come back to you again." After the train left, we sat for a while and listened to music. The beauty of nature along the way made us forget many bad things.

We soon arrived at Lamphun Station.

A view like this along the way...

Like this...........

And in this way, we would not have been able to experience it if it weren't for the train.

After a while, we arrived at Lampang Railway Station. The air-conditioned carriage broke down, and the air conditioning was not cool. We had to stop for a long time to repair it. This gave us time to buy some supplies to stock up on in case we got hungry at night.😆😆😆😆

Waiting for the train to depart...

The train was "double-headed" or had an additional locomotive added to help pull the express train No. 52 up and down Khao Khun Tal.

After running for a while, I came across the highlight, "Saphan Tha Chomphu".

The sun begins to set, and soon we will arrive at Khun Tan Railway Station. As we ride the train, we can see local villagers selling local food at the station.

We passed through the Khun Tan Tunnel and slept soundly until we arrived safely in Bangkok at 5:00 AM.

"The distance" makes you forget how far "the distance" is. The train is not as scary as you think.
