No phone signal, no WiFi, no electricity. What can you do at Sweet Home Floating House?

Here, we can break free from technology and return to nature, like being isolated on a deserted island. Haha

Last weekend, we stayed at a floating house on the Srinakarin Dam in Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province.

What makes this place different from other floating houses?

It is the only floating house that is isolated on a small island, just a 2-3 minute rowboat ride away.

Accommodation prices are available as rooms and as a whole package. The price for a room is 890 baht including breakfast (2 people).

Is it worth it? Ask yourself.

We went during the rainy season, the sky was cloudy, and we couldn't see the sun. It was a different feeling from the cold and hot seasons.

But the advantage is that the weather is very cool.

For fishing enthusiasts, this place offers free fishing and even cooks your catch for you!

For those who enjoy kayaking and swimming, come party and have fun! You'll be treated like family and friends.

The map clearly shows that it is a small island separated from the Srisaket Dam. The dam itself is very large and there are many car ferries that provide a shortcut across the winding roads, significantly reducing travel time. For example, we took this ferry and crossed in just 10 minutes for 60 baht, saving us 30 kilometers.

For directions, it is recommended to find the coordinates and type "Sweet Home Floating House" into your smartphone. This will lead you to the correct location, as explaining the route in words would be confusing. Once you arrive at the island, you will be able to see your car parked on the shore. They will then pick you up by boat free of charge.

A short 2-3 minute boat ride will take you to the raft. The beautiful green water is a clear indication that there is no electricity.

The first impression is that it is very rustic, with a slow-paced lifestyle.

However, we checked out their page and saw pictures of the stunning sunsets and sunrises.

The golden orange hues during sunset are breathtaking, making us wish we could experience it ourselves.

Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire time we were there.

Oh well, it's worth a try. Why not experience a technology-free vacation, disconnected from the outside world?

Accommodation is available in separate houses owned by the raft owner and by customers.

Customer houses have four bedrooms each. The price for renting an entire house is 3200-3500 baht, including breakfast.

The price for renting a single room is 890 baht plus breakfast.

Let's take a look inside the bedroom. It looks good, doesn't it?

The bedroom is equipped with a solar-powered fan.

Electricity is provided by solar panels, which operate during specific hours.

A small, battery-powered lantern provides additional lighting in the room.

The bathroom is located at the back of the room.

It is a shared bathroom for all the houses.

The water supply here is also time-based. The water pump turns on and off according to the solar power supply. We think it's funny. 555

There are no amenities. We need to bring our own toiletries, such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and towels.

There are also relaxing seating areas on the balcony of each raft.

This corner is perfect for chilling, having fun, and partying.

Fishing equipment for those who love fishing, bring it yourself with bait. Fishing enthusiasts will definitely love it.

With an atmosphere that is perfect for escaping from technology like this.

If you ask, is there no phone signal? We've checked. Dtac is completely dead.

As for True, there are two bars, and it takes more than half an hour to upload. 555

Only Ais is usable, but if it rains heavily, the signal can also crash, I'm telling you.

Amidst the light rain that evening, we decided to have dinner at Sweet home floating house.

There will be a variety of menus on the raft for us to choose from, both single dishes and set menus. They will make it fresh for us.

The price we have eaten is okay. The price is not expensive, not much markup, and the quantity is very large. Because we haven't finished eating yet, hehe.

The dim light of the night amidst the soft drizzle and the gradually fading and extinguishing lights.

I wish everyone could come here to rest and sleep early. At first, I thought I would be able to sleep earlier, but in reality,

I still end up sleeping at midnight. 555 I guess it's because I'm not used to it.

The morning arrived with the lingering traces of the continuous rain that had fallen throughout the night. Upon waking, we noticed that the fan had stopped working. Investigating further, we discovered that the power generator at the accommodation automatically shuts off in the early morning when the temperature cools down.

Fortunately, the air was already pleasantly cool when we arrived. We continued exploring the raft during the morning, amidst intermittent showers.

The bamboo fence here serves as a barrier for a designated swimming area, although we did not try it out ourselves.

Some people sleep so comfortably that they don't even need to sleep in their bedrooms. If you look closely, you'll see people sleeping on wooden chairs until morning. 555

It makes you realize that the air is really good and the sleep is really comfortable.

We woke up around 6:00 am and the kitchen staff hadn't finished making rice porridge yet.

Everyone else was still fast asleep. With the atmosphere like this, with the rain falling like this, you could just keep sleeping. It's super comfortable, I'm telling you.

This is a blank paragraph.

This morning, we started our day by savoring a cup of coffee on the raft before breakfast.

After exploring the small area on the raft, we had nothing to do, so we went for a walk with the chef.

We sat and watched the water and the creatures around the raft. We saw many geese swimming freely on the reservoir.

At that moment, we stopped and stared for a while, not even thinking about taking out our cameras to capture the moment.

Please translate the following sentence:

Our breakfast porridge, which is included in the room rate, was served at 8:00 AM. We were among the first to arrive and were surprised to see that the porridge was indeed just porridge, with no visible pork. However, after stirring the porridge, we found some pieces of pork hidden beneath the surface.

One bowl was not enough to satisfy our hunger, so we asked if we could have more. The chef kindly agreed, and we ended up finishing two bowls of porridge that morning.

I admit that I am quite addicted to social media. When I don't know what to do next, I just pick up my phone and scroll through it.

I don't want to waste time, but if I have enough battery, I would like to bring my computer to work.

I still can't stop thinking about work.

It's hard to let go of work, and I can't even let it go. Haha.

Sweet Home Floating House slows down time, allowing for extended periods of quiet reflection. It's ideal for those seeking true relaxation, free from worries, anxieties, or external distractions. For those seeking a slow-paced life and complete rejuvenation, this is the perfect place. The key is to let go and embrace the tranquility after arriving here.

This is a paragraph with no text.

After finishing rice porridge, it was a little late in the morning, plus the rain had stopped, with one activity that wouldn't make it boring.

That is kayaking, which we just paddled for the first time 3 months ago on the Sri Dam. This time, I tried it again without a life jacket. 555 It was quite fun, you know.

How about a peaceful corner for relaxation at Sweet Home Floating House?

It's okay for those who really want to get away from it all and seek peace and quiet.

The more you rest, the better it is for yourself.

The rest is up to the person staying. Can you let go of the cluttered thoughts in your head while you're here? ^^

Thank you for watching.
