Before the high season, I had a playful thought that it would be nice to have a good book to read by the sea.
I could hear the sound of the wind and rain, interspersed with the branches and leaves of the coconut trees hitting each other.
It would be quite enjoyable, but I don't know how many times we've been to Krabi.
We planned a little bit of diving and island hopping. We've been to most of the places already, so this time we'll just take it easy.
Without further ado, let's take a leave of absence and book a flight ticket.

Let's plan to book a flight ticket. This time we're going with Thai Smile.
The price is not much more expensive than other airlines. If you're willing to trade a little snack for a wider seat.
(Actually, we're just greedy) But never mind, it's not really anything. We just booked a little late, everything else is full. 55555555

Krabi has a unique charm with its mountains, coconut trees, and rooftops.
Everywhere you look, it's surrounded by nature. The light rain during our visit added to the lush and cool atmosphere.
After a 30-minute drive, we arrived at our accommodation, Beyond Resort Krabi.
Based on our research, this hotel is a multi-star establishment.
We're not sure how many stars, though. 555555 Hopefully, it will live up to our expectations and provide a peaceful escape from our studies.

Let me take you on a tour around the hotel, starting from the inside.
This is a building with the lobby on the 5th floor.
You can see the sea view from this floor. It's amazing.

Check-in and Room Tour

After a smooth check-in, it's time to explore our room! Located on the 4th floor, accessible by elevator, our Deluxe Sea View Room 1406 awaits. We opted for a king-size bed, but twin beds are also available upon request. The spacious sofa by the bed is a welcome addition, found in every room.

The interior boasts a dark wood theme, contrasting beautifully with the plush white bed in the center. Amenities are plentiful, including a hairdryer, flashlight, slippers, and a safe.

The bathroom is equally well-equipped, featuring neatly arranged toiletries like soap, shampoo, and even lotion – a lifesaver considering its restriction on flights! Various towels are also provided.

A small counter bar allows for a refreshing morning coffee or tea. Imagine waking up to stunning ocean views right from your bed!

Let's go see the view from the balcony. Our room is on the top floor.
The view we will see must be amazing. Let's open the curtains.
Looking down, you will see the hotel's swimming pool. It is divided into a children's pool and an adult pool.
The size of the pool is as long as the building we are standing in.
Looking out, you will see the sea view, as far as the eye can see. It contrasts with the blue sky and the slightly dark clouds.
It just so happened that we encountered a storm when we went there.

.
.
.
.
.
We ordered room service for lunch and the food was delicious.
However, it was quite expensive, as expected for a hotel of this standard.

.
.
.
.
.
After a good night's rest, it's time to explore the pool.
As we mentioned, the pool here is as big as the building we're standing in. How's that for impressive?
The crystal-clear blue water contrasts beautifully with the lush greenery surrounding the pool.
It's truly a refreshing and invigorating way to spend a relaxing day.
Looking up, we can see the curved roof of the hotel.
We suspect it's designed to resemble lying in the ocean, with waves rolling overhead.

The original text describes a scene at a beach near a hotel. The speaker mentions that the staff warned them about the abundance of rocks and passing boats, advising them to swim within the designated, buoyed area for safety. Despite the rocky terrain, the speaker notes the natural beauty of the beach, observing small creatures like crabs and shells.

Here's the translated text:

Walk about 400-500 meters to the right, and you will find a small hidden sea.
Actually, I guess that this small island is a place to shelter from the wind when sailing.
You can tell by the dozens of boats that are parked side by side.
There are also beautiful rocks to take pictures of, so don't forget to bring your model to take pictures.

The evening came, after we took a shower and got ready.
It was time for dinner. We booked a table around 7 pm.
It's a restaurant in the hotel called @Beach Bar & Restaurant.
There are both indoor and outdoor areas. If you want to feel the sea breeze, choose a table by the beach.
You can choose any table you like (but most people sit by the beach 555555).
When we went down, we saw the table setting. We felt like big bosses coming from somewhere.
It was like a real candlelit dinner. 555555
" 4 special dishes "
- Avocado & crab meat salad -
- Asparagus Cream soup -
- Grilled Salmon -
- Tiramisu -
I'll explain more about each dish below.

Avocado & Crab Meat Salad

This dish features a creamy avocado base topped with generous portions of fresh crab meat. The vibrant contrast of orange and red caviar adds a touch of elegance, while the avocado sauce and pomegranate seeds provide a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the crab. This appetizer is sure to tantalize your taste buds and leave you feeling satisfied.

Asparagus Cream Soup

This soup features pureed asparagus blended with a creamy sauce and finished with a dollop of whipped cream. Toasted garlic bread is served alongside to balance the richness of the soup. The flavor profile is slightly salty, effectively stimulating the appetite.

.
.
.
.
.
Next up, item number 3: Grilled Salmon (the menu I've been waiting for 55555)
As the name suggests, it's a large piece of grilled salmon,
accompanied by asparagus topped with carrots, red beans, and green peas, all stir-fried together.
It comes with mashed potatoes and spinach as side dishes (this is a must-try, it's delicious).

.
.
.
.
.
Finally, it's time for dessert. I'm actually so full I can barely eat anymore, haha.
This dish is called Tiramisu, and I'm guessing many of you have tried it before. The coffee-flavored cream is so smooth,
and it contrasts perfectly with the tartness of the strawberries. This is the perfect way to end the meal.

After a restful night's sleep, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves, it was time for another meal. This trip was clearly a culinary adventure, and breakfast was already laid out before us. It was like a paradise in the middle of the sea!

The breakfast buffet was available from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM and was located on the first floor, next to the restaurant where we had dinner the night before. There was a wide variety of food to choose from, and I'll show you what we ate in a moment.

.
.
.
.
.
Let's go for a walk in the breakfast area.
The dining area is well-equipped, boutique style, with approximately 40-50 tables.
The savory zone offers a variety of Thai dishes, including green curry, stir-fried morning glory, fried rice, and rice porridge.
Western breakfast options include ham, fried eggs, bacon, and various types of cereal with milk for children, all of which are available in unlimited quantities.

.
.
.
.
.
Moving on to desserts and fruits,
the dessert section is neatly organized, offering a variety of fruits,
breads, jams, and spreads. Indulge yourself to your heart's content.

Today we have a special trip. We booked a kayak tour yesterday.
But the weather was a bit uncooperative, with rain falling all the way from the hotel.
Until we were about to get into the water, the rain showed no signs of stopping. But this rain might be a good thing.
Because there were less than 10 people on the tour with us this time, it was super private.
I secretly asked if there were a lot of people, and there were almost 50 people on each tour.
We arrived at the pier around 2 pm. The guide was very friendly and easy to talk to.
After introducing the equipment and how to paddle, it was time to get into the water.
Let's go with the rain. I think it will give us a different feeling.
Wet and cold instead of hot like every time I've paddled before.

The guide led us on a paddle boat ride to the mountain on the opposite shore. We paddled hard at first, but after about 10 minutes, we were exhausted.

However, the view was absolutely stunning. If it weren't raining, we wouldn't have been able to see such a beautiful sight.

We were glad we came at this time, as we didn't have to worry about our belongings getting wet.

They provided us with two waterproof bags each, but for larger items, we could leave them on the shore. There was a storage room available, but it's best to keep all valuables with you for safety.

.
.
.
.
.
The guide led us on a leisurely paddle along the mountain, stopping at various checkpoints along the way.
We were constantly lagging behind, which was strange considering we seemed to be putting in more effort than the others.
However, the lush, humid atmosphere of the forest was truly captivating. Some people brought their own raincoats,
but they weren't provided here. We figured it wouldn't matter anyway, as we were bound to get soaked. It was a quick adventure.

.
.
.
.
.
After sailing for some time, we encountered a towering mountain in the distance.
We had to navigate through it, which felt like a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Despite the relentless rain, we couldn't help but feel exhilarated.
Those who visit during dry weather are truly missing out.

.
.
.
.
.
After paddling for a while, we came across a mangrove forest. We continued paddling deeper into the forest.
The silence was broken only by the sound of our paddles hitting the water. See the pictures, it's hard to describe. 5555555555

Unfortunately, our luck wasn't great this time. The water level was low, so we couldn't paddle around the island.
We had to paddle back the same way. Just thinking about it makes my arms tired.
But on the way back, luck was on our side. The rain stopped, the sky cleared, and we could see nature clearly.

.
.
.
.
.
On the way back, we took the same route, but fortunately, the rain had stopped.
So we were able to take out our big camera to take pictures, but we couldn't take pictures all the time because there was no one to row the boat. In the end,
we were still at the back of the line. 5555555555555
The guide took us to a small beach on one of the islands.
There were monkeys watching us tourists, and they weren't afraid of people.

On the way back, the guide whispered to me, "I'll paddle faster on the way back. Can you keep up?"
I honestly replied, "I can't anymore, haha."
So the guide let me sit with him and towed our boat behind his (as shown in the picture).
I still had to help paddle, but not much. I took advantage of the opportunity to take some photos.
On the way back, he paddled very fast. The sun was starting to come out, and the views on both sides were amazing.
I have to thank the guide for saving my life, haha.

How are you doing with the rainy season in Krabi?

It's strange, no matter how often we visit our favorite places, we always find ourselves drawn back to them. And it's always strange how time seems to fly by whenever we're on vacation.

I don't want to go back to work yet! 555555555

Thank you, rainy day, for introducing us to new experiences.

Thank you, special accommodation, for providing us with a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Thank you, guide, for helping us paddle back to shore.

And thank you, my cameras, for surviving the rain and making it back home.
