This trip involved sleeping on the train. I had read many reviews beforehand, but in the end, I was struck by the sheer number of places to visit in Chiang Mai. I had planned to visit 10 places, but I decided to abandon my plans and explore as I went along, stopping wherever I felt like it. This way, I wouldn't have to limit my travel time.

With a burst of laughter, I packed my bags and set off on an exciting adventure to explore the northern city! Let's go!

DAY 1

✅ Embark on a special overnight train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, departing at 7:45 PM and arriving at 8:40 AM.

✅ Take the red car from the train station to the accommodation. We stayed at Trekker Camp, a budget-friendly hostel with friendly and welcoming staff. Hostel lovers, don't miss checking in!

😄
✅ Check in at Tha Pae Gate and find cool and stylish angles for taking photos.

📸
✅ Hike up Doi Suthep to pay respects and make offerings at the revered Phra That Doi Suthep temple.
✅ Ascend Doi Pui to immerse yourself in the cultural traditions of the Hmong people at the Hmong Village.

Hmong Village on Doi Pui

🍃

A breathtaking view from Hmong Village. The higher the altitude, the colder the temperature. The air is refreshingly cool and invigorating on Doi Pui.

😄

Day 2

✅ Explore the diverse flora at the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden.

✅ Indulge in a delicious meal at the "Nam Neua Nang Len" restaurant, a must-visit for food enthusiasts. This riverside restaurant offers stunning views and delectable dishes, earning a perfect 10 rating for both location and cuisine. Relax and savor the ambiance as you dine amidst the tranquil stream. A perfect escape to rejuvenate after a day of exploration.

🍃

✅ Visit Wat Tham U Mong, an ancient and amazing temple. Highly recommended!

😁
✅ Trendy milk shops in the Nimmanhaemin area.
✅ In the evening, take a walk on the Iron Bridge, which is decorated with colorful lights to create a romantic atmosphere. There is a legend that if couples walk on the Iron Bridge, their love will last forever.

The receptionist at the water shop is playing Chao.

Don't forget to stop by and say hi to the adorable kittens! They are incredibly cute and make excellent models.

😂

The Tham U-Mong Temple is a hidden gem that is not yet well-known among tourists. This is likely due to its role as a meditation retreat, which requires a peaceful environment. If you are visiting Chiang Mai, I highly recommend stopping by this temple. It is truly an unseen wonder, with a unique beauty and mysterious atmosphere.

Saphan Lek, the bridge of romance. Don't forget to take your loved one for a walk there.
