Journey to Lom Muak Mountain
Inspired by the captivating photos shared by fellow adventurers, I embarked on a journey to conquer the majestic Lom Muak Mountain. After meticulously researching the accessibility dates, I determined that the optimal window for my ascent would be between October 13th and 15th.
Travel Preparations
With the dates set, I meticulously planned my travel itinerary, ensuring all necessary arrangements were in place. This included securing transportation, acquiring the appropriate gear, and coordinating with the relevant authorities to obtain the necessary permits.
The Ascent Begins
On the designated day, I set off with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The initial stages of the climb were relatively straightforward, allowing me to acclimate to the increasing altitude and admire the surrounding scenery. As I progressed, the terrain became more challenging, demanding greater physical exertion and mental focus.
Overcoming Obstacles
Undeterred by the obstacles, I persevered, drawing strength from the breathtaking views that unfolded before me. Each step forward brought me closer to the summit, fueling my determination to reach the peak.
Reaching the Summit
Finally, after hours of relentless effort, I stood triumphantly at the summit of Lom Muak Mountain. The panoramic vista that greeted me was nothing short of awe-inspiring, a testament to the power and beauty of nature.
Descent and Reflection
As the sun began its descent, I commenced my journey back down the mountain, carrying with me the memories of an unforgettable experience. The challenges I had overcome and the breathtaking views I had witnessed would forever be etched in my mind.
Conclusion
My ascent of Lom Muak Mountain was a transformative experience that tested my physical and mental limits. It taught me the importance of perseverance, resilience, and the profound connection between humanity and nature.
As usual, I took the train from Hua Lamphong to Prachuap Khiri Khan. It was the express train number 43, departing Bangkok at 8:05 AM and arriving in Prachuap Khiri Khan at approximately 12:31 PM.
The return trip is on express train number 40, arriving in Prachuap Khiri Khan at 2:59 PM and in Bangkok at 7:45 PM.
Accommodation
I am staying at the Yuthachai Hotel, which is a 5-minute walk from Prachuap Khiri Khan Railway Station. The room rates are 250 baht per night for a fan room and 500 baht per night for an air-conditioned room.
Let's go!
Upon arrival in Prachuap Khiri Khan, without delay, I unpacked my belongings and rented a bicycle from the accommodation to explore the area.
We then cycled to the airbase to reach Ao Manao. On the way, it started to rain heavily, so we had to take shelter for a while.
Seeing that the rain was unlikely to return, I decided to climb Khao Krachok to enjoy the view of Prachuap Khiri Khan city. There were many monkeys, but they weren't very aggressive.
Day 2
Please note that there will be a walking street, but I will visit it the next day as I need to prepare for climbing Khao Lom Muak tomorrow morning. I need to save my energy.
Waking up early in the morning, I cycled to the 5th Air Force Wing to register for the Lom Muak Mountain Climb. Registration was open from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM. (If the information is incorrect, I apologize.) After registering, it was time to hit the trail! Most importantly, wear sneakers and bring gloves.
The workshop takes half a day to complete, and participants will receive a certificate for a fee of 40 baht. Those interested can register at the designated point.
In the afternoon, I decided to visit Wat Tham Sai, located near Khao Thong Chai in the vicinity of Baan Grood. I opted to hire a pickup truck for transportation, as I was accompanied by three fellow travelers.
After paying respects at the temple on Sai Sai Road, I returned to my accommodation, took a shower, and went for a walk to enjoy the evening atmosphere.
Exhausted from the day's journey, I'm going to turn in for the night. Tomorrow, we'll head to the final bay, "Ao Noi." Goodnight! Zzzz
Day 3
I woke up early to watch the sunrise, but it rained in Prachuap Khiri Khan last night, so there were a lot of clouds.
After that, we went to find something to eat near our accommodation. After eating, we cycled to Ao Noi Bay. What are some interesting things to see there? Please take a look. ^^
The first place we arrived at was "Khao Tham Mong Lai Forest Park".
After cycling for a while, you will reach Wat Ao Noi and Wat Tham Khao Khan Kan Kra Dai. You can enjoy the scenic views of Ao Noi along the way.
After that, I quickly cycled back to my accommodation to shower and prepare for our departure. This trip was very tiring, but also a lot of fun. For my next trip, I will take you to the north. Stay tuned! On this trip, I have fulfilled what I wanted to do. See you again, goodbye! ^^
Enjoy your trip and have fun with what you do.
