Maldives: A Dream Within Reach
For many, the Maldives conjures up images of idyllic beaches, crystal-clear waters, and luxurious overwater bungalows. It's a dream destination, often considered out of reach due to its reputation for being prohibitively expensive. However, the world is changing, and with it, the accessibility of this paradise.
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Maldives on a budget-friendly trip, spending less than 20,000 baht. Yes, you read that right! The Maldives is no longer just for the wealthy.
While we didn't stay in the iconic overwater bungalows, we were able to experience the stunning scenery and vibrant atmosphere of the islands. We opted for a hotel on a local island, immersing ourselves in the authentic Maldivian culture.
Some might argue that a trip to the Maldives without staying in an overwater bungalow isn't the real experience. But I can assure you, the beauty of the Maldives extends far beyond those luxurious accommodations. The breathtaking beaches, turquoise waters, and diverse marine life are enough to leave anyone awestruck.
This trip is a testament to the fact that even with limited resources, the dream of experiencing the Maldives is achievable. So, pack your bags and join me on this journey to discover the wonders of this island paradise.

The Maldivian archipelago stretches 821 kilometers from north to south and 120 kilometers from east to west. However, its total land area is only 300 square kilometers, with the highest point being a mere 2.3 meters above sea level.
Contrary to popular belief, the Maldives is not a mountainous island nation. Instead, it comprises atolls, which are ring-shaped coral reefs that encircle lagoons. These lagoons may be completely enclosed or partially open to the sea.
The atolls rise abruptly from the ocean floor, with their flat surfaces barely breaking the water's surface. Consequently, a rise in sea level of just 2 meters would submerge the entire nation.
The Republic of Maldives consists of 26 atolls, encompassing 1,190 islands. Only around 200 of these islands are inhabited, while 74 have been developed as tourist resorts.
Islam is the predominant religion in the Maldives, with approximately 90% of the population adhering to its tenets. As a result, alcohol is not sold on inhabited islands. However, alcohol is available at tourist resorts.
The capital of the Maldives is Malé. All international flights arrive at Malé International Airport, located on Hulhulé Island.
The airport and Male city are located on different islands.
Therefore, after arriving at the airport, you need to take a boat to Male island.
However, a bridge is currently under construction to connect the two islands.
It is expected to be completed within two years, eliminating the need for boat transfers.
Most tourists staying at resorts will be picked up directly from the airport by boat or seaplane arranged by the resort.
However, if you are traveling independently like me and want to save money, you will need to go to Male city first.
From there, you can travel to the island you are going to.
Now that we know about the Maldives, let's embark on our journey to this paradise! Let's go! 55+
Maldives #2
Let's talk about accommodation in the Maldives.
The Maldives offers more than just overwater bungalows. There are also islands or atolls where locals actually live.
These atolls have regular hotels at affordable prices, starting from 1,000 Baht and up.
This is where we are headed! 55+ There are several atolls where people live and have hotels, but it's important to choose one that has a local ferry service.
How do you know which atolls have ferry services? You can check this website:
http://www.atolltransfer.com/ferry-routes-c17sd
I started by looking at hotels on Agoda.
For each hotel I was interested in, I checked the map to see which atoll or island it was located on.
Then I checked the website to see if there were any local ferries passing by. After considering all these factors, I decided on this island:
"Maafushi"
Maafushi has a wide variety of hotels at different price points. Most importantly, it has a local ferry service that costs only $2!
This is much more economical than taking a speedboat or seaplane.
Maafushi Island or Atoll
I recommend finding a hotel in this zone, as it is close to Male city.
Maldives on a Budget: Airasia Opens New Direct Flights from Bangkok
Getting There:
- Local boats: While readily available, prices can vary depending on the type of boat and distance.
- Speedboats: Offer convenient transportation with reasonable prices, ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 Baht.
- Seaplanes: Provide a luxurious option but come with a significantly higher cost, exceeding 10,000 Baht.
Flights:
- Previously: Bangkok Airways offered the only direct flights to the Maldives, with prices often exceeding budget limitations.
- New Option: Airasia's new direct route from Bangkok to the Maldives offers significantly lower fares, especially when booked in advance or during promotions.
- Cost: Prices can be as low as a few thousand Baht when booked well in advance or during promotional periods.
Example:
The author booked their flight in June for a trip in October, securing a price of approximately 8,000 Baht. Combined with a 4-day accommodation package booked through Expedia, the total cost came to just over 10,000 Baht.
Conclusion:
Airasia's new direct flights provide a more affordable option for travelers seeking to experience the beauty of the Maldives. By booking in advance or taking advantage of promotions, travelers can enjoy a tropical getaway without breaking the bank.
The flight continued with a long sleep, but there was one more highlight that you shouldn't miss. It's right here.
"The last 30 minutes before landing."
Because we will see a full view of the Maldives from above.
Let me tell you, it's sooooooo beautiful.
Let's take a look at some of the pictures. I can only say that the real thing is even more beautiful.
Oh, try to sit on the right side, not in the front row, but in the back. That way, the wings won't block your view.
It's so beautiful and magnificent, even before we land. It's truly worthy of the name Maldives.
This is what they call an atoll. It's very beautiful.
The excitement was palpable even before the plane landed. The view was breathtaking, with countless atolls dotting the vast ocean.
The sight was truly unique, as if these atolls had magically emerged from the depths of the sea.
This is the airport of the Maldives, known as Velana International Airport.
The airport is not very big. Just follow the crowd after you get off the plane.
Upon entering, you will encounter Maldivian immigration. Interestingly, couples can enter together. 55+
The immigration process is very simple. On the plane, the flight attendants will provide you with an arrival card to fill out.
You only need to fill it out once, for both arrival and departure. However, they will keep the card upon departure, so you don't need to bring it with you.
The time in the Maldives is 2 hours behind Thailand, so be sure to check the time when you arrive.
After clearing immigration, follow the signs and you will find many people waiting to pick you up.
If you have arranged for your resort to pick you up, look for their sign. If you are on a budget and want to do it yourself, follow me.
Turn left after exiting the arrival area and walk straight ahead.
You will find a booth selling tickets for the ferry to Male City.
The tickets are only $1 each, which is very affordable.
After purchasing the tickets, we waited for the ferry. And then, we were amazed again.
Oh my god... This is just at the airport, the water is so incredibly blue.
She is so beautiful, I almost screamed. 55+
Feel free to take as many photos as you like, the boats depart regularly.
Once you're finished, you can board the boat. The atmosphere on board is...
Upon arrival at Maafushi Island, you can hail a taxi and tell them to take you to the Maafushi Ferry Terminal.
The fare for two people is $3, which is approximately 102 Baht. This is a reasonable price.
The Maafushi ferry terminal is located as shown in the picture. It is only a 5-minute taxi ride away.
Head straight to this boat upon arrival.
The conditions on the boat were like those of a regular passenger boat, nothing out of the ordinary.
Let's take a look at the travel schedule and ferry times. For those who are arriving on a specific day, please check the times carefully.

Hotel Review: Expedia Booking and Overall Experience
This review details a recent hotel stay booked through Expedia, highlighting the overall experience, room quality, and location.
Booking and Price:
The booking process through Expedia was smooth and resulted in a very affordable price, falling within the "tens of thousands" baht range.
Room Quality:
The hotel offered comfortable rooms, rated between 3 and 4 stars. Amenities included breakfast, which was a welcome addition.
Minor Inconvenience:
While a sea view room was initially booked, it was unavailable upon arrival. The reason for this is unclear, possibly due to a late check-in. However, the hotel staff promptly moved the guests to a different room the following day.
Sea View Value:
The reviewer noted that the sea view did not offer much practical benefit, as most of the time was spent on tours, leaving little opportunity to enjoy the view. Therefore, opting for a standard room without a sea view is recommended to save on costs.
Location and Convenience:
The hotel's location was highly convenient, situated right next to the pier. This provided easy access to various activities and attractions.
Overall Impression:
The reviewer expressed overall satisfaction with the hotel, emphasizing the affordability, comfortable rooms, and convenient location.
Additional Information:
The review includes a photograph showcasing the view from the hotel room, highlighting its proximity to the pier.
After checking in, it's time to explore Maafushi Island. For this trip, we only booked round-trip tickets and accommodation, without any tours. We had no idea what tours were available or where they went.
After spending four days on the island, we discovered that the main tour operators are Arena Beach Hotel and Shadow Palm, which are located next to each other.
These hotels have a large number of rooms and guests, making it easy to find people to join tours with.
Both hotels offer excellent service. Arena even went out of their way to find people to join our tour. We highly recommend them.
Shadow Palm, please walk along the alley on the left and turn right, you will find Arena Beach.
Maldives Resort Tour Options
This section provides an overview of the various resort tour options available in the Maldives.
1. Resort Visit:
The highlight of this tour is visiting a private resort with overwater bungalows. Prices vary depending on the chosen resort and package, typically ranging from $68 to $215 (approximately 2,300 to 7,300 Maldivian Rufiyaa).
Additional Information:
- The Maldives uses the US Dollar as its primary currency.
- Exchanging a small amount of Rufiyaa for local purchases like water or snacks is recommended.
- The exchange rate during the author's visit was 14-15 Rufiyaa per US Dollar.
The first option I considered was the "Unlimited Alcoholic Drink" package.
In simpler terms, this means unlimited beer and liquor.
The combination of unlimited beer and a beautiful ocean view was too good to pass up.
I filtered my search to resorts that offered this option and found the Adaaran Prestige Vadoo.
The price was initially listed at $110, but I was able to negotiate it down to $105 (approximately 3,570 Thai baht).
For this price, I would get a beautiful resort stay with unlimited beer. It was an excellent deal.
Adaaran Resort Day Trip: Snorkeling and Sunset Views
When choosing a resort, be sure to inquire about the departure and return times.
For Adaaran, the boat departs at 7:30 am (local time) and arrives around 8:00 am. The return trip departs at 6:00 pm, allowing you to witness a stunning sunset. Additionally, you can enjoy an exciting shark feeding demonstration in the evening.
The resort's bar operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering unlimited drinks. You can choose from cocktails, red and white wine, vodka, draft beer, and fruit juices. However, drinks must be obtained from the designated bar and are served in glasses, not bottles or cans.
With a price of 3,570 baht, this trip offers incredible value, including unlimited drinks and a buffet lunch. Moreover, the breathtaking views at Adaaran are truly exceptional.
Important notes:
- A minimum of 4 or 6 people is required to visit the resort.
- If you don't have enough people at Shadow Palm, consider visiting Arena Beach Hotel, which typically has more guests and makes finding companions easier.
- You can also check the activity board at the hotel to see upcoming excursions and the number of participants, allowing you to join groups.
2. Half-Day Snorkeling Tour
This tour offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the vibrant underwater world.
This is a diving tour. The price on the sign is $20, but with VAT it comes to $25, which is only about 850 baht.
The tour includes snorkeling, coral viewing, seeing Nemo, and taking pictures with sea turtles.
Lunch is at SandBank, a small atoll in the middle of the sea. It's incredibly beautiful and unique, so stay tuned for pictures!
The tour concludes with dolphin watching, but I didn't see any. It depends on luck.
The program runs from 10 am to 2 or 3 pm.
If you love the underwater world, this tour is a must-do.
There are two main programs, but there are others available. Due to limited time, I didn't do them.
There's also a whale shark tour for around $80, a baby shark and full-day diving tour for $50, and a small shark tour for $50.
However, I already saw these on the first day during the Visit Resort program at Adaaran.
For those staying 4 days and 3 nights, you can choose your programs accordingly. Day 1 and Day 4 are travel days.
This leaves you with 2 full days. You can visit a resort one day and go diving another day. That's already great value for money.
Oh, I forgot one more activity: Night Fishing and Sunset.
This involves fishing at night, eating dinner on the boat with the fish you catch, and watching the sunset over the sea. It costs $25 or 850 baht.
However, I didn't have a good experience.
- I didn't see the sunset because there were too many clouds.
- I didn't catch any fish. I thought we'd be using fishing rods, but they used a plastic ring with a hook and fish bait.
- If you don't catch any fish, you have to wait and eat on the shore. The food is fried rice and the fish you caught, if any.
I recommend the tour programs I mentioned. From now on, follow my journey!

Oh, here, every restaurant has a special table arranged with candlelight for those who are on their honeymoon.
The table will be separated and private, and it is beautifully arranged. It's very romantic. If you have a honeymoon plan, you can tell them. I'm not sure about the price.
After dinner, what should we do? Maafushi doesn't sell any kind of alcohol because it's a Muslim city. Most of the drinks available are as follows.
The first one, the yellow one, said "beer" on it, but it turned out to be ginseng water. It tasted okay, though, and was a bit warm.
The second one said "Classic" on it, so I thought it would be like beer, but it tasted like weak beer. It was also non-alcoholic.
The third one was the best. It tasted like Wild Spy, but without the alcohol. I recommend trying the one on the right.
When those three bottles weren't enough, I had to find another solution. I had done some research beforehand on how to get beer, and it turned out that there was a place that sold it, but it was on a boat in the middle of the sea.
The boat was like a cruise ship, with three floors, but not very big. If you want to use the service, just tell the hotel and they will take you to the pier. The boat ride is free, round trip, and runs from 8pm to 1am.
But... the beer is very expensive! A can costs $6! I had seen reviews that said it was $2.50-$3, but oh well, I was already there, so I had to get some.
So I got to enjoy the atmosphere on the boat, which was a first for me. It was a tearful beer drinking experience. So expensive...
Original Text:
The journey continued for a while, and then we arrived. The first sight that greeted us was "Wow…". This was just the pier, and the water was incredibly beautiful.
Upon arrival, guests are invited to take a seat and wait for the other visitors who will be arriving at the resort today. They come from various locations.
The view from the waiting area alone is breathtaking. It's simply stunning!
Once everyone who is visiting the resort has arrived, they will distribute wristbands to wear.
These wristbands indicate what activities you are allowed to participate in, such as free access to the bar, lunch buffet, and island exploration.
You can visit the houses on the water, but only during the bridge hours. You are not allowed to enter the residential zone.
They will then take you on a tour of the area, explaining the various facilities, including where to eat lunch and shower.
There is also a swimming pool that you can use. Isn't that great? ;)
The final stop will be at the bar, which is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
That's it! From now on, you are free to do whatever you want.
Let's get to know the resort here.
" Adaaran Prestige Vadoo "
This is a small resort. You can walk around the entire island in a short time. The main points of interest are shown in the pictures.
My friend and I came to the Maldives, so we decided to go all out and take some amazing photos.
Let's check out the beautiful views of this place.
The first stop is a symbol that many people associate with the Maldives: the water villas.
Even if you're not staying in one, it's worth checking out because the photo opportunities are incredible.
Even the walkway is beautiful.
Of course, I will arrange it. What are you waiting for? 55+
Another bridge, the view is amazing.
Get ready to be amazed! Pack your best outfits and get your hair and makeup done, because you're in for a treat.
The views here will make you forget every beach you've ever been to.
The hike to the viewpoint is worth it. Trust me.
It's...so...beautiful...
Here's a lighthearted photo for you. (Actually, I didn't do anything in the first half of the day except take photos. Haha!)
This viewpoint is absolutely stunning. The scenery is breathtaking, so much so that it could leave even the most stoic speechless.
Press the button repeatedly. Every angle is beautiful. Walk to the other side to see the view of the pier. The water is very beautiful.
After the viewpoint, I walked on towards the scuba diving equipment center. Past that, I found a bar and then the beach.
The beach here has free beach chairs. You can choose any chair you like to lie down on.
However, check if someone has already reserved it.
When you arrive, they will give you a towel. If a chair has a towel on it, it means it's taken.
The service here is excellent, as I mentioned before.
The view from the beach, in front of the bar (I plan to spend the afternoon here, close to the bar, easy to walk to, haha).
A cool beachside bar with draft beer. Awesome! 55+
Go ahead and have a glass first. What are you waiting for? It's all-you-can-drink, so enjoy yourself! 55+
After enjoying a beer each, we went to find a place to relax and chill. We walked along the beach, which was very long and had plenty of places to lie down.
Most importantly, the view was absolutely stunning.
The view is so beautiful, we have to take some pictures. Hehe.
Original Text:
"Let me tell you, since I've been traveling to the sea, this place is the best. It's so beautiful.
Compared to the Thai sea, it's incomparable.
Imagine a beautiful island in our country, but with houses on the water in the sea. Look at that.
Koh Tachai has a resort, beautiful viewpoints, and a long wooden bridge that stretches out into the sea.
Wow… It's so beautiful here.
Most importantly, it's not difficult at all. There's a free beer bar, clean bathrooms, and a swimming pool. It's all-inclusive.
Also, the sea there is both clean and beautiful. The water is incredibly clear.
I even brought props. I had to take a picture. Haha. Look at that. The water is so clear."
"In my travels to various seas, this place stands out as the most exceptional. Its beauty is truly unparalleled.
Compared to the Thai sea, this location is simply incomparable.
Imagine a picturesque island in our country, but with houses on the water, nestled amidst the vast expanse of the sea. This is the reality of Koh Tachai.
Koh Tachai boasts a luxurious resort, breathtaking viewpoints, and a stunning wooden bridge that extends gracefully into the sea.
The sheer magnificence of this place is simply awe-inspiring.
Moreover, the convenience offered here is remarkable. A complimentary beer bar, spotless restrooms, and a refreshing swimming pool cater to every need. It's a truly all-inclusive experience.
Notably, the sea here is both pristine and aesthetically pleasing. The water's clarity is simply mesmerizing.
I couldn't resist capturing the beauty of this place with some props. The crystal-clear water is a sight to behold."
Sipping beer and enjoying world-class views. Today is all about relaxation and indulgence. No need to do anything else, just pure bliss.
For just 3,750 baht, it's an incredible value. No need to spend 30,000-40,000 baht to experience world-class views like this.
Lunchtime arrives at 1 pm, and it's time for a delicious buffet. The food is excellent, and the dining area offers stunning seaside views.
Lunch menu for today.
The afternoon is free for you to do as you please. You can drink beer, read a book, or go swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling and life jacket rentals are available for $10 (around 340 baht).
I decided to relax and listen to music while sipping beer and enjoying the view. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave.
I never thought that the Maldives, which had always been a dream of mine, would be right in front of me. And it was even better than I imagined, sitting here sipping a cold beer and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
I can say with certainty that everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime.
The pictures you see don't even capture half of the true beauty that I witnessed with my own eyes.
You might ask, how is it different from the beaches in our own country? It's a feeling, a state of mind.
Some might say, "Why go to the Maldives? The sea is the same everywhere. It's just like Phuket in Thailand."
To that, I can only say one thing:
"You're missing out."
Every place has its own charm and value. The Maldives is simply the Maldives.
No matter how you compare it to other places, it's not the same.
Our beaches offer a natural experience, while the Maldives is more of a resort experience.
It's convenient, beautiful, has excellent service, and is easily accessible. The water is a stunning shade of blue.
But honestly, in my opinion, the Maldives is a little more beautiful than our own country.
That day, I was so happy that I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was 3 pm, so I went for a swim in the pool.
Then I changed and waited for another highlight: the shark feeding.
Or rather, waiting to see the baby sharks. At 5 pm, they bring food to feed them at the wooden bridge.
And we get to see the baby sharks in person.
Here they are, the baby sharks.
Another highlight is watching the sunset here. It's absolutely stunning.
Today's mission is complete. I'm so happy to be sailing back.
I never thought, dreamed, or imagined that the Maldives would be this beautiful.
Come and try it out. It's not that difficult to travel.
And it's not so expensive that ordinary salary earners like us can't afford it.
Come and experience it for yourself, because no matter how beautiful the pictures are,
it's worthless if you don't see it with your own eyes.
Stay tuned for Day 3, diving with the underwater world of the Maldives.
Maldives #5
Day 3 Half Day Tour Snorkeling (diving)
On Day 3, we chose a diving tour to see how beautiful the underwater world of the Maldives is.
But more importantly, I wanted to see the Sandbank.
The name sounds like a Thai celebrity. 55+
Let's follow along to see what we'll encounter today. Let's go! 55+
Today, the tour starts at 10 am, so there's no need to rush. We can explore Maafushi Island.
We walked around the island, and I'll summarize it for you. Just go to the last beach, Coral Beach.
Because the zone at the end of the island is a prison, or a jail like we have in Thailand. It's not worth going. 55+
Let's just go see the beach and then come back. And the public beach that's just past Arena Beach is enough.
Coral beach is beautiful too.
9:45 AM: Gathering at Arena Beach Hotel
We met at the Arena Beach Hotel at 9:45 AM to join a diving tour. Upon arrival and after everyone had assembled, we were provided with free diving equipment, eliminating the need for any additional payments.
Life jackets, snorkels, and fins are ready. It's time to board the boat. Oh, and they provide one towel per person.
Time to board the boat
Along the way, you will encounter resorts like this.
The first stop will be a nearby resort where we can go snorkeling. However, we are not allowed to go ashore as it is a private island.
We will then explore the underwater world. I have included photos from the entire day for your viewing pleasure.
Crystal clear water.
Found this little guy. 55+
A wide variety of colorful and unusual fish can be found here.
Colorful corals are not very common.
From the first point, we will go to the second point to see sea turtles.
The boat stop has beautiful water. It is an atoll in the middle of the sea where the water is not very deep, about chest-high for me.
However, the edges of the atoll where the water is blue are very deep. Please wear a life jacket for safety.
Following the guide, we swam together.
Finally, we found the turtles! Hooray!
After this point, we will take a break for lunch at the highlight of the day, the Sandbank.
Let's see how beautiful it is.
We have arrived.
Upon closer inspection, it is truly breathtaking. The water is crystal clear and the color is a vibrant blue. It is truly a sight to behold.
Bring props too, we have to arrange it! 55+
A small atoll has mysteriously appeared in the middle of the ocean, boasting stunningly vibrant water hues.
They will take us to eat on the sandbank. It should be fun.
But...
What we hoped for was not as fun as we thought because it was super hot under the sun. 55+
Why didn't you provide an umbrella or let us eat on the boat and then come down to take pictures? You let us eat in the sun like this. Oh my god... Hurry up and eat, hurry up and get into the water. It's hot. 55+
After eating and playing in the water on the beautiful sandbank, they will take us to see dolphins.
But... we didn't see any. 55+
So, don't expect too much. If you don't expect anything, you won't be disappointed.
It really depends on luck. That's the end of the diving tour.
Next, I will take you to the beach on Maafushi Island.
Let's wait and see if it's beautiful.
Maldives #6
After the diving program, we have another program: Night Fishing and Sunset.
It costs $25, but the tour starts at 5 pm. So we decided to go swimming at Bikini Beach and Arena Beach first.
Let's see the beauty of the two beaches on Maafushi Island.
The first one is Bikini Beach. If you come here in the late morning or early afternoon, the seawater will be very blue.
It's a small beach, but it's still beautiful.
Walk a little further and you will find the second beach.
Arena Beach
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful beach because of the blue water and the white, fine sand that is soft on your feet.
However, there are a lot of rocks when you first walk down to the beach, so you have to walk a little further to find the sand.
This beach is perfect for swimming, as there is more sand than at Bikini Beach.
Bikini Beach has a lot of rocks, making it a bit difficult to walk on.
After swimming for a while, it was time to watch the sunset and go fishing.
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures because it was too dark. However, the activity was as follows:
They took us to watch the sunset on a boat and then gave us fishing equipment.
The equipment consisted of plastic rings with fishing line and hooks attached.
They then cut up fish into pieces to use as bait.
We dropped the bait into the water and then it was up to luck. It was very difficult!
We stayed on the boat in the dark, but there were lights so we didn't have to worry.
After a while, we returned to the hotel because we were hungry. The fish we caught was cooked for us.
We waited at the Arena Beach Hotel until the fish was fried and baked, and then they called us to eat.
They also served fried rice and salad with the fish.
It was like buying a dinner program.
With that, the activities were complete. The next day it was time to return home.
We went back to rest for the night because we had to wake up early the next morning. The boat left at 7:30 am.
This trip was filled with so much happiness.
I never thought the Maldives would be this amazing.
There's no need to mention staying in a water villa that costs tens of thousands of baht.
I can tell you that just by coming here, you can experience the Maldives to the fullest.
Everyone's life is different, and our financial situations are different. Should we wait to save 40,000-50,000 baht before going? When will we be able to go?
Don't wait any longer. The opportunity is here for everyone. We have the chance to experience the best of the sea.
With a budget-friendly option for salary earners like us, it only costs less than 20,000 baht.
However, if your budget allows and you want to try staying in a water villa, go for it! You can add another 10,000 baht per person.
Nowadays, flights from Bangkok to the Maldives are not that expensive anymore.
I hope this trip will be a guide and provide information for many of you who want to experience one of the most beautiful seas in the world.
See you again soon. Please follow my small personal page for stories about all my travels.

Here is a summary of the expenses (1$ = 34 baht):

3. Taxi Male - Maafushi Ferry: 3$ (102/2 per person) = 50 baht
4. Maafushi Ferry round trip: (68 x 2) per person = 136 baht
5. Visit Resort Addaran: 105$ per person = 3,750 baht
6. Diving + Night Fishing and Sunset: 50$ per person = 1,700 baht
7. Taxi Maafushi - Male: 5$ per person = 85 baht
Total expenses excluding food: 18,789 baht
Recommendations:
1. It is recommended to go during the low season because the Maldives does not have a monsoon season. Rain only falls for a short time, and the price of tickets and accommodation will be much cheaper.
2. It is not recommended to go during long weekends in Thailand because the price of tickets will be expensive.
3. It is recommended to go on Saturday and Sunday and take an additional 2 days off work. You will definitely get tickets for 7,000-9,000 baht, not exceeding this amount.
4. The duration of the trip should be at least 4 days and 3 nights because 3 days and 2 nights is not enough and will be tiring.
5. The tours you should choose are: 1. Visit Resort and 2. Diving.
6. For those who want to stay in a water villa, I will give you the coordinates.

Here, the water villa costs around 12,000 baht per night.
The speedboat transfer to and from the airport costs around 3,500 baht.
This comes out to 9,500 baht per person, but you have to stay on the mainland for 2 nights.
The cost per night is 4,600 baht, so for 2 people it would be 4,600 baht per person.
The total cost will be around this much. If you can get a flight for around 8,500 baht, it will be:
8,500 + 4,600 + 9,500 = 22,600 baht only.
Including food and diving, it should not exceed 25,000 baht. You can try it out.
That's roughly it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Goodbye
